Abstract

This Best Practice aims to increase interest in learning mathematics about Transformation Material through the application of MINIMALIST learning steps for class IX Semester 1 students at SMP N 2 Girimarto Wonogiri. Transformation material consists of many achievement indicators, namely Dilation, Reflection, Translation and Rotation of points, lines and planes. To make it easier for students to understand a lot of material and increase students' interest in learning this Transformation, the teacher uses the MINIMALIST learning method, which means MIN: Reading, Information (Literacy and Education), IMAL: Inquiry, Props Modeling, and IS: Peer tutor interaction and Pass it on. The results of the student interest in learning questionnaire before using MINIMALIST learning showed that there were 13 students (43.33%) with good criteria. The results of the student interest in learning questionnaire after using MINIMALIST learning were 17 students (56.67%) with good criteria. This illustrates that there has been an increase in interest in learning through MINIMALIST learning. From the increased interest in learning, the daily mathematics test score for Transformation material obtained after using MINIMALIST learning has an average score of 84.67%, namely there are 27 students or 90% who have completed the KKM and there are 3 students or 10% who have not completed the KKM. After providing remedial reinforcement, the average score was 85.67% and 30 students had completed the KKM or 100%. This means that MINIMALIST learning can be concluded to increase students' interest and learning outcomes in Mathematics on Transformation material.

Abstract

Early introduction through activities to color Javanese script and habituation to writing Javanese script according to the correct flow and technique is a real action to revitalize Javanese script. Javanese script is an Indonesian script and one of the elements in regional languages. Preserving Javanese script means caring for Javanese cultural assets that encourage the creation of various forms of expression to enrich the culture of the Indonesian nation. The development of Javanese script teaching materials is a form of revitalizing regional languages and advancing cultural objects in the language sector. Gladhi Maca and Nulis Aksara Jawa (Gaman Raja) is the development of teaching materials for reading and writing Javanese script, especially for students at the elementary school (SD) level. Gaman Raja consists of two volumes, namely Volume 1 Reading and Coloring Javanese Script and Volume 2 Reading and Writing the Beginning of Javanese Script. Gaman Raja volume 1 aims to introduce the forms of Javanese script through the activity of coloring pictures of Javanese script. The benefits can be as a means of recreation and training fine motor skills. Gaman Raja Volume 2 aims to practice writing Javanese script according to the correct rules. Media Gaman Raja is included in the very feasible category based on media assessment results, namely 85% from media expert validator I and 90% from media expert validator II. The Gaman Raja material is included in the very appropriate category based on the material assessment results, namely 87% from material expert validators I and 93% from material expert validators II. The results of students' responses to Gaman Raja were very good, namely the material aspect was 89%, the language aspect was 87%, the presentation aspect was 91%, and the graphic aspect was 97%.

Abstract

The aim of this research areto improbe the actives and skills the students of SMPN 1 Girimarto in understanding the material learning through Problem Based Learning (PBL). Especially this research are expected can improve the students skill in understanding the material learning, the student's skill are improve with the indicators: (1)75% students get 75 score, (2)75% students are motivated in the learning process, (3)75% students are condusive in the teching learning proses, (4)75% teachers have more experience and knowledge about teching technique. This research use descriptive comparative method. Technique or PBL model include: 1) identify the topic, 2) determine the aim of learning, 3) identify ing problems, 4) materi access. Based on the classroom action research above it can be concluded that PBL can improve the actives and students skill to understanding materil learning, and the used of PBL learning can improve the active and the result of the learning on VII A in the second semester SMPN1Girimarto in academic year 2022/2023.

Abstract

Identification the implementation of teaching learning after covid 19, describe the problems, and solutions to face the problems in identification the intrinsic of short story based on the life skills of the students on IX grades SMPN 2 Girimarto in the first semester 2023/2024. This writing use descriptive method. It is describe the phenomenon include the actually event and data in teaching learning after covid 19. There are the problems in teaching learning after covid 19 based on the life skills. The problems can be solving in the implementation in learning. The student's learning outcomes are good from 29. 2 students get 76-80, 6 students get 81-85, 7 students get 86-90, 9 students get 91-95, and 5 students get 96-100. Based on the data above it can be conclude that the teaching leaning activity is success.

Abstract

The aim of research is to improve creative thinking skills student for subject “letak dan luas benua Asia dan Benua lainnya” by applying the Discovery Learning learning model.This research is Classroom Action Research which lasted for two cycles. The subjects of this research were students in class IX A of SMP Negeri 2 Girimarto in the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 30 students. Data collection techniques were interviews, observations and tests, with data analysis in the form of content validity and triangulation. Classical completeness in cycle I was 66.67%, and research continued in cycle II with classical completeness 83.33%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that creative thinking skills in social studies learning for class IX A students at SMP Negeri 2 Girimarto in the 2022/2023 academic year can be improved through the Discovery Learning learning model. The writer hope this research can make teachers more skilled in applying the Discovery Learning model to improve student’s creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This best practice was aimed to convey the author's experience in applying digital literacy to create a culture of literacy among students in grades 4, 5 and 6 at SD IT Nurul Iman. The strengthening of character education through a culture of digital literacy among students needed to be developed from an early age. The students who dominate elementary school now are Z generation and alpha generation, they are connected to the digital world in their daily lives. This motivated teachers to continue to transform and innovate so that the learning process is in line with the current generation's times. There are 2 instruments used in this best practice, namely observation sheets and questionnaires. There are two observation sheets, including: (1) Observation sheet to obtain data about the teacher's activities and role in implementing "Lidi Nurim" digital literacy, (2) Observation sheet to obtain data on activities carried out by students during the digital literacy process. Meanwhile, the questionnaire instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire. This type of measurement scale has a gradation from very positive to very negative. The questionnaire would be used before and after the implementation of digital literacy so that the target's attitudes towards literacy and technology  were known before and after. The validity of the instrument could be reached by carrying out the validity test. The test used expert judgment techniques, the opinion of experts, namely the school principal. Based on the overall results of observations and data analysis, it could be concluded that after implementing digital literacy "Lidi Nurim", the children have a positive culture of liking literacy. Apart from that, the students would be wiser in using technology, especially using smartphones at home. Another accompanying impact was the increase in the score of Indonesian Language and ICT subjects

Abstract

The science learning results in the Food Chain material for class V students at SDN 2 Talesan, totaling 16 children, were deemed to be very poor, especially in the science subject. Some students' grades and activity in class are still lacking and below the KKM. This research aims to improve the science and science learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 2 Talesan using the PJBL (Project Based Learning) learning model through the Food Chain Diodrama props. The research used the Classroom Action Research method in two cycles. The subjects of this research were fifth grade students at SDN 2 Talesan, Odd Semester, 2023/2024 Academic Year. The learning outcomes assessed are cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills measured by test results, student observation instruments and field notes at the end of each cycle. The results of the analysis show that the science and science learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 2 Talesan increased, as indicated by the increase in the average grades and student activities from cycle I to cycle II. The application of the PJBL (Project Based Learning) learning model through Diodrama teaching aids provides positive results for the learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 2 Talesan.

Abstract

As the results of the initial test for reading the Al-Quran, learning achievement to read the Al-Quran in class VII B SMP Negeri 1 Baturetno is still low with an average score of 62.30. While the learning completion score has only reached 22%. In general, the learning process is still dominated by teachers. This research aimed to improve learning achievement in reading the Al Quran through optimizing learning activities. This research consists of three cycles, each cycle including the following steps: 1) Planning: creating a learning scenario using a peer tutor model, 2) Acting: carrying out learning according to the scenario, 3) Observing: taking data through triangulation as data validation, 4) Reflecting: the observation data is reflected collaboratively to determine improvements in achievement and plan further action. The results of this research show that there is a quite large increase in learning achievement in reading the Al Quran as follows: in cycle I there was an increase in the average score of 4.30 points (from 62.30 to 66.60) and an increase in learning completeness of 15% (from 22% to 37 %), in cycle II there was an increase in the average score of 8.20 points (from 66.60 to 74.80) and an increase in learning completeness of 29% (from 37% to 66%), and in cycle III there was an increase in the average score of 1.80 points (from 74.80 to 76.60) with an increase in learning completeness of 25% (from 66% to 91%). The same actions from cycle I to cycle III show an increase in student achievement in learning to read the Quran.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to increase motivation and learning outcomes through the application of innovative Waste Processing Technology (OLIM Techno) in science learning Ecosystem material for class VII D students of SMP Negeri 2 Girimarto, Academic Year 2022/2023. The object of the research is student motivation and learning outcomes in the science subject Ecosystem material. The types of data collected in the research are primary data and secondary data. Primary data sources are teachers and students, including summative test scores and observations during the learning process. Meanwhile, secondary data comes from colleagues who are observers. The results of this research show an increase in student learning outcomes, this can be seen from the percentage of learning completion in the pre-cycle learning which was 40%, in cycle 1 it became 70%, and became 90% in cycle 2. Student learning motivation in pre-cycle learning was relatively low, in cycle 1 to medium, and in cycle 2 high category. By implementing OLIM Techno learning innovations, teachers can change the paradigm from teacher-centered learning to student-centered learning.

Abstract

This writing is formerly in the intention to make the writer easy in her teaching and learning in her class in the early of the existence of Covid – 19, when the students were too lazy to engage with the teaching and learning material. In order to solve this problem, then the teacher tried to find out the best teaching and learning media to make the students happy and enjoyable with the English lesson. Finally, the teacher found Nearpod as the best way to engage the students with the learning and makes them interested in learning English.   If formerly the active participation of the students in the teaching and learning is less than 50 %, after using this application, the involvement of the students’ participation increase as well as the result of the average class score. Formerly, the average score is between 78- 85 for grade IX F from the average minimum score 76. Besides that, the average scores of the other classes also increase. The number of students’ passing grade is also increasing from the former time. Before using this application, there are only about 16 -20, however, now it becomes around 29 even 32. The average score of every class is also increasing from 50 – 60, becomes 78 – 85. The weakness of this application is in the internet access. However, to cover this problem, the teacher still can send the asynchronous link to join back in another time.
