Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of Jigsaw-type of cooperative learning on increasing the self-confidence of the fifth grade blind students at SLB A YKAB Surakarta. This research was a quantitative research with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was applied to all  visual impairment students of 5th grade SLB A YKAB Surakarta. Determination of the sample of this research was done with saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study used a self-confidence scale based on the theory and indicators by Lauster (2003), which was carried out before treatment (pretest) and after treatment (posttest). This research used content validity testing techniques by experts as a validators, then the instruments were tested on 31 visual impairment students in the Provinces of Central Java and Yogyakarta.A total of valid items were then calculated using the Cronbach Alpha reliability technique. Treatment lasted for 8 sessions, lasting 2x30 minutes each session. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test analysis obtained a significance value of 0.018, which indicates that the significance value  0.05 means Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. So it could be concluded that Jigsaw Cooperative Learning had an effect on increasing the self-confidence of visual impairment students.

Abstract

The aim of this action research is to find out the implementation of Inquiry-based learning, to know the improvement of activeness and learning outcomes of biology cross -interest students of XII IPS 3 academic year 2021/2022 at SMAN 1 Purwantoro as a result of the implementation of Inquiry-based learning in cross-interest biology subjects with Growth and Growth of Plants. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 stages Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class XII IPS 3 academic year 2021/2022 of SMAN 1 Purwantoro, totaling 34 students. Data collection instruments include the result of observations of the implementation of inquiry-based learning, the assessment of studentsinquiry products, the results of observations of students activity and the results of post-test cycles1 and cycles 2. The data analysis technique was carried out with descriptive qualitative based on research data obtained in cycle 1 and cycle 2. The results showed (1) an increase in the implementation of the learning process. In cycle 1 learning accomplishments were 71.3% while in the cycle 2 is increased to 86%, (2) an increase in students inquiry products, in cycle 1 the average value of inquiry products was 75 while cycle 2 reached 85. (3) an increase in students activity, in cycle 1 students activity reached 74% while cycle 2 reached 85%, (4) an increase in cross-interest biology learning outcomes, in cycle 1 completeness reached 63% cycle 2 reached 83%. The mean value of cycle 1 reached 64 while cycle 2 reached 75.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to increase motivation and learning outcomes through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model in science learning material Motion of Objects for class VIII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Giritontro, Academic Year 2022/2023. The object of his research is the motivation and learning outcomes of students in the science subject matter of Object Movement. The types of data collected in this research are primary data and secondary data. Primary data sources are teachers and students, including summative test scores, and observations during the learning process. While secondary data comes from colleagues who become observers. The results of this study indicate an increase in student learning outcomes, this can be seen from the percentage of learning completeness in pre-cycle 46%, in cycle 1 it becomes 73%, and it becomes 92% in cycle 2. Student motivation in pre-cycle learning is low, in cycle 1 being moderate, and in cycle 2 the high category. With the application of the TGT learning model, teachers can change the paradigm from teacher-centered learning to student-centered learning.

Abstract

Science subjects at the elementary level are often considered difficult because of the amount of material that students must read and understand. Therefore, researchers conducted media development that was able to foster student motivation towards science learning. Concrete media "Velg Ruji Energi" is designed to encourage students to actively learn and provide a sense of fun in order to easily instill the concept of motion energy in students. This media is made from used items, namely spoke wheels, dynamos, lights, propellers from number plates and wheel spinners. When rotated, the wheels will rotate (motion energy) to produce electrical energy in the dynamo. The lamp connected to the dynamo will light up (light energy). The propeller also rotates when the wheels rotate to produce motion / wind energy. The results of using this media show that the percentage of student motivation increased from 54.38% to 76.25%. Student learning outcomes have also increased, the original learning average of 53.75 increased to 81.88. The completeness of learning outcomes has also increased from 18.75% to 87.50% after using the "Energy Ruji Wheel" media. Based on this data, it can be concluded that the development of concrete media in the form of "Energy Ruji Wheels" can increase student motivation and learning outcomes in the material of applying the concept of motion energy.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling is a school component that provides counseling services to students. One of the duties of the guidance and counseling teacher/counselor is to help develop students' potentials in a positive direction, including having good study habits. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of the guidance and counseling teacher's role on the learning behavior of class IX students at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo. The method used is quantitative with a correlation approach. From the simple linear regression statistical test with SPSS which was carried out, the result was that the correlation value (R) was 0.129. From this output, the coefficient of determination (R square) is 0.17, which implies that the effect of the independent variable (the role of the guidance and counseling teacher) on the dependent variable (learning behavior) is 1.7%, the calculated F value = 2.227, with a significance level of > 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is no influence of the role of the counseling teacher on student learning behavior. Thus, the first hypothesis in this study can be rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the scientific argumentation profile of students with the socio-scientific issue (SSI) approach in physics learning. This qualitative descriptive research uses the SSI approach. Data collection used interviews, observation, reflection, and Padlet-assisted learning techniques. The results showed that learning physics with the Padlet-assisted SSI approach could improve scientific argumentation skills. The results of the teacher's interviews, observations, and reflections show that the challenges of Padlet learning are the depth of the material and time constraints. Further, SSI research can be developed in other subjects with the principles of developing students' character and soft skills.

Abstract

This best practice aims to convey the author's experience in using the STM approach in science learning to improve the character of environmental care in grade 6 students of SD Negeri 1 Miricinde. Strengthening character education caring for the environment in students needs to be developed from an early age, because now we are in the era of revolution 4.0. This digital era makes students increasingly indifferent to their environment. This also happened to 29 grade 6 students of SDN 1 Miricinde. Students are still wasting on the use of electrical energy, students still do not care about closing open faucets even though the tub is fully charged, advice and appeals from principals and teachers are not heeded by students. Students do not yet understand the importance of caring for the environment. The instruments used are observation sheets of students' environmental care attitudes, observation sheets of teacher activities in applying the STM approach, observation sheets of teachers' roles in instilling environmental care attitudes, and questionnaires of students' environmental care attitudes. The validity of the instrument uses expert judgment, namely the principal. Based on the overall results of observations and analysis of existing data, it can be concluded that the STM approach in science learning can improve the character of environmental care in grade 6 students of SD Negeri 1 Miricinde. Student learning outcomes have also improved. In addition to improving the character of caring for the environment, the STM approach in science learning can also increase the character of nationalism in students. The impact of implementing the STM approach for schools is that there is a decrease in electricity bills in schools.

Abstract

This research aims to find efforts 1) Improving mathematics learning activities through cooperative model of Probing prompting type. 2) Motivation of math learning outcomes. Learners are the subject of education, who actively shape mathematics learning achievement in themselves. In order to be able to obtain good math achievement, an attitude or motivation is needed as a teaching provision to learn well. The research used the Classroom Action Research method. Conducted as many as two cycles. The subjects in this study were grade VI students of SD Negeri I Minggarharjo even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Learning activities were measured by student observation instruments, while math learning achievement and student responses were taken from test results and field notes at the end of each cycle. The results of the analysis showed that the activity and achievement of grade VI mathematics learning at SD Negeri I Minggarharjo increased, which was marked by an increase in the average value of activity and student test results from cycle I to cycle II. The application of probing prompting model learning provides a positive response for students research aims to improve poetry creative writing skills using audio-visual media. The subjects of this.

Abstract

The research is done to know the increasing of studying result of students class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Girimarto, Wonogiri, Central Java, By Implementation Role Playing Method of English lesson Material of Announcement. This Research is Class Action research that done at least 2 cycles. Subject of research  are 36 students of class X MIPA 1 SMA N 1 Girimarto. Technic of submitting data of students studying result by studying result test. Technic of  data analysis is kuantitatif data analysis, It is the average of test value of student studying. The result of this  research increase studying result of students class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Girimarto at Semester 2 2021/2022 by implementation of Role playing method that proved by increasing the average value of the students studying result and the completeness of students learning.  The increasing of students results at pre cycle  showed  the student average value  is 56,26 or 13,89 %  students had completed. Cycle 1 of studying Result of students  have not reached  minimum completed criteria,  41,67 %, with the class average value 66,67 % that still under KKM value >_ 70 and completeness prosentase KKM >_ 70 %.  At cycle 2 the result of students studying had reached KKM ( Minimum Completeness Criteria ) 86,11 % with the class average  value 83,61 and already beyond  KKM value. From this research data can be concluded that the implementation of Role Playing Method had success increased  result studying of English the material of Announcement so worthy to applied at SMA Negeri 1 GirimartoWonogiri, Central Java.

Abstract

This is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) study. The research subjects are 27 students in Grade IX-A at State Junior High School 4 Pracimantoro. Data collection techniques include written tests, observation, and documentation. The research procedure is conducted through two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. CTL consist of 4 steps, they are invitation, eksploration, explaining and solution also action taking. Invitation consists of material explanation and discussion. Exploration consists of making a group, share a series pictures to each group about narrative text, observation also discussion and arrange a series pictures. Explanation and solution consists presentation of the group discussion result after doing observation and analysis then other group give respond also take summary from the discussion. Action taking consist expressing opinion, asking and answer and give suggestion that have relation with solving problem. The research results were able to answer the research question, which was to improve the narrative writing skills in each cycle. In the initial stage, the class had an average score of 50.59 with a mastery percentage of 7.41% (2 students). In Cycle I, meeting I, the average score improved to 61.33 with a mastery percentage of 25.93% (7 students). In Cycle I, meeting II, the average score further increased to 68.92 with a mastery percentage of 44.44% (12 students). In Cycle II, meeting I, the class achieved an average score of 74.15 with a mastery percentage of 70.37% (19 students), while in Cycle II, meeting II, the average score was 77.41 with a mastery percentage of 88.89% (24 students).
