Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of the research were 32 students of class VIII A of SMP Negeri 2 Girimarto. Data collection techniques used written test methods, observation, documentation. The research procedure was carried out through two cycles and each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of the study showed (1) an increase in learning outcomes, this can be seen from: (a) an increase in the completeness of learning of participants when compared between the pre-cycle, namely 12 students (37.59%) at the end of cycle 2 to 32 students (100%) so that it has reached the level of completeness as determined, namely 100%; (b) there was an increase in the average value when compared between the pre-cycle 68.75 at the end of cycle 2 to 91.25 so that there was an increase of 15.62. (2) there was an increase in learning activity when compared between the pre-cycle cycle, namely the average value of 2.94 (moderate) increased at the end of cycle 2 to 4.13 (good) so that there was an increase of 1.19.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving Islamic Religious Education learning. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model approach, which involves the cycle of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in understanding of Islamic Religious Education material, there was an increase in student activeness in discussions, asking questions, and being involved in learning activities, which created a more dynamic learning atmosphere, there was a significant increase in practical skills in practical skills.

Abstract

Pancasila education is one of the subjects in the independent curriculum with material content that tends to be difficult and of little interest to students, so that the learning that occurs tends to be boring for students. The purpose of this study is to use the “Puzzle Rabu” media to improve student motivation and learning outcomes. This study uses a quasi experimental method. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, tests and interviews. Observations were carried out to observe students' learning motivation, tests were carried out to determine students' learning outcomes before or after using learning media, and interviews were carried out to obtain data in the form of statements from students about the learning they were taking part in. The results of this research show an increase in students' learning motivation from 33% to 83.5% as well as an increase in learning outcomes from an average score of 55 to 84.44. This proves that the use of  “Puzzle Rabu” media in Pancasila Education subjects regarding cultural diversity can increase student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in social studies learning outcomes by implementing the use of Tapel in Class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Puhpelem Semester 1 for the 2022/2023 academic year for the material Getting to Know ASEAN Countries. The data collected through observations and tests on learning outcomes are compiled, explained, and finally analyzed in two stages, namely: Data Reduction and Data Display. In accordance with the provisions in Classroom Action Research, the subjects in this research were students in Class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Puhpelem for the 2022/2023 academic year. Class VIII A students were the subjects of this research because based on the results of initial observations, the teacher found a problem in this class, namely the low student learning outcomes in the material Getting to Know ASEAN Countries. The Tapel Method is a method that provides the widest possible opportunity for students to be directly and actively involved in finding solutions to various problems in the learning process, from planning to studying a topic through investigation. Democratic teaching is a learning process that is based on democratic values, namely respect for abilities, upholding justice, implementing equality of opportunity, and paying attention to the diversity of students. The results obtained after carrying out the stages in cycle 1 and cycle 2 were that the use of Tapel had a positive impact on the learning process for social studies subjects, especially on the Concept Material of Getting to Know ASEAN Countries. It can be seen from the comparison of the number of students who completed their studies from pre-cycle to cycle 2, namely that in the pre-cycle there were 7 students who completed their studies, then in cycle 1 it increased to 16 students and in cycle 2 to 18 students. By using teaching aids, it is easier to understand the lessons taught by the teacher.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Education in the modern era requires innovative approaches that can prepare the younger generation to face complex challenges in the future. SMP N 1 Karangtengah has a vision to create a stimulating and relevant learning environment to meet the needs of its students. Economic news as a learning source can serve as a bridge to integrate economic concepts into students' daily lives. The implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) is expected to provide a more engaging and meaningful learning experience, motivating students to actively understand the economic realities around them. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of PBL in enhancing students' motivation and understanding of economic news at SMP N 1 Karangtengah, Wonogiri, Central Java. The applied approach in this research is qualitative, focusing on the natural conditions of the object, where the researcher serves as the main instrument. The qualitative approach involves observing individuals in their natural environment, interacting with them, and attempting to understand their language and interpretations of the world around them. Learning outcomes improved after all students mastered the material, with the entire class achieving a 100% success rate and an average score of 90 after a daily quiz. Improvements were also evident in discipline and learning motivation through the use of technology-based media. The effectiveness of the implemented method by the researcher showed positive results, although it is emphasized that continuous improvement and review of the learning approach are necessary to ensure its sustainability in enhancing the quality of education at SMP N 1 Karangtengah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of Civics learning to strengthen the character of students as a preventive measure against bullying at SD Negeri 3 Parangharjo. To obtain guidelines for the steps in revealing the problems in the study, a research approach was determined, namely descriptive qualitative. The objects in this study were classroom teachers, and students of SD Negeri 3 Parangharjo, Wonogiri Regency. Because the subject is directly related to the implementation of Civics learning to strengthen the character of students as a preventive measure against bullying. For data collection needs, the types of instruments used are: (1) interviews and (2) observations. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative data analysis. The implementation of Civics learning to strengthen the character of students as a preventive measure against bullying at SD Negeri 3 Parangharjo is carried out by strengthening indicators of social care character, democratic character, peace-loving character, social solidarity and responsibility character. The results of the research show that Citizenship Education (PKn) has an important role in overcoming cases of bullying among students as proven by the conditions at SDN 3 Parangharjo, namely a more positive classroom atmosphere: Creating a classroom atmosphere that is more inclusive, respectful of each other, and free from intimidation. , Active involvement of students in anti-bullying activities: Increased student participation in activities aimed at preventing bullying, such as forming peer support groups or participating in mentoring programs. Support from all school components: Formation of synergy between teachers, students, parents and the school in an effort to prevent bullying.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve learning activities and to improve learning outcomes by implementing the listening team learning model for students of Class VIIIA on the Material of Faith in the Book of Allah in the Subject of Islamic Religious Education at SMP Negeri 1 Nguntoronadi, Wonogiri Regency in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the application of the Listening Team learning model on the material of Faith in the Book of Allah SWT in the subject of Islamic Religious Education. This learning model has advantages including being able to develop students' cognitive abilities, make children think critically during the discussion process, make children with interpersonal and intrapersonal abilities develop better. Based on the study, it was obtained that in the first cycle it began to be seen that students' abilities mastered the learning material with an average value of 67.33 with a sufficient level of ability. However, there are still students who are less active, less cooperative, less motivated in learning Islamic Religious Education, especially the material of Faith in the Book of Allah SWT. This is because students' mastery of the material and concentration on the material are still lacking. In cycle II with the same material, it can be seen that the learning outcomes of students have increased, where the average value of student learning outcomes is 80.67 with a level of mastery of learning materials classified as good and above the Learning Objective Criteria Completion. Based on the results obtained, the learning outcomes of students in mastering learning materials have made significant progress.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Aswaja learning in developing an understanding of religious moderation at MTs Munzalam Mubaroka. Based on observations, it was found that the Aswaja learning process has not yet achieved its optimal goals. Some students showed intolerance towards others' opinions during discussions and violated school regulations, such as not participating in pesantren orientation activities and lacking cooperation in group activities like community service. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results indicate that students' knowledge of religious moderation is still low, as they have not received direct learning on the theory of moderation. However, through Aswaja learning, students are taught to be moderate in both religious and daily life practices. The Aswaja learning process includes the preparation of a syllabus, lesson plans (RPP), and the use of discussion, lecture, memorization, individual assignments, and storytelling methods. Learning evaluation is conducted through midterm (UTS) and final semester exams (UAS). In conclusion, although not yet fully optimal, Aswaja learning plays an important role in shaping students' attitudes toward religious moderation.

Abstract

The high risk of earthquake disasters and the unpredictability of their occurrence are the reasons why it is important to increase the understanding of disasters from an early age, especially in the school environment Disaster mitigation education is very important to be implemented in the school environment because it aims to increase students' awareness and skills in dealing with disasters from an early age. Earthquake disaster mitigation education through the application of Simulation, Innovation, Action, Perception (SIAP) project-based learning with a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) approach with mock-up products of earthquake-resistant tower buildings made from plastic straws can develop critical thinking skills and collaboration, literacy and numeracy of students. This research is based on best practice with a qualitative approach. Students can develop their skills in designing and creating technology to solve problems, namely the risk of earthquake disasters. The activeness and enth usiasm of students at all stages of learning reached 63.16%. Students' absorption of disaster material through this learning reached 94.21%. Disaster mitigation education aims to ensure that students, especially at the elementary school (SD) level, will create a disaster-resilient generation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students' argumentation skills in physics learning using PhET simulation as a teaching medium. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The subjects of this study were 10th-grade high school students. The results show that using PhET simulation improves students' argumentation skills. These argumentation skills develop through discussions and problem-solving facilitated by the simulation. This study concludes that PhET simulation can be an effective tool in physics learning to enhance students' critical thinking and argumentation skills.
