Abstract

The textile industry is now entering the Industrial Era 4.0, which aims to increase production efficiency, reduce waste, and reduce costs. In the implementation of Industry 4.0, all production elements, such as equipment, operators, and products, must have intelligence. To achieve this, production machines, especially yarn spinning machines such as blowing and carding, need to be equipped with intelligent devices. Currently, these machines do not meet the requirements due to the lack of a control system that can build intelligence. Therefore, it is important to equip these machines with a monitoring system consisting of data processing modules, sensors, and data processing systems. This monitoring system is very important in the yarn spinning industry, because production control is a crucial aspect in the implementation of Industry 4.0. This study aims to design a monitoring system for blower and carding machines that can provide real-time information on the amount of production, machine operating status, and electricity usage. This data will be displayed in graphical form (dashboard) and can be accessed via a local network using a web browser on a computer or smartphone. With this system, management can monitor production activities in real-time, thereby reducing costs and increasing machine efficiency.

Abstract

This paper will discuss about the use of computer vision technology in calculating the number of people entering and leaving wellhead facilities. In general, offshore platform facilities are divided into 2 (two) types, namely wellhead facilities and processing facilities. Limiting the number of people in wellhead facilities is closely related to the availability of safety devices and evacuation equipment in emergency conditions. This limitation is occur with a strong reason, considering that at wellhead facilities there are some of dangers that have the potential to harm workers, including: high pressure, toxic gas, flammable gas and high temperature. This research is case research and field research, where from the problems that occur in the field, data will be collected in the form of solutions that have been implemented, further be analyzed and put forward better and more efficient solutions (in this case utilizing computer vision technology).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of South Korean cultural trends (Hallyu) on sales of Mujigae products in Surabaya. The Hallyu phenomenon, which includes Korean music, drama and food, has become a global trend that influences many aspects of life, including consumer preferences. In a marketing context, Korean culture is often used as a tool to attract consumer interest and encourage purchasing decisions.The research method used is a combination of qualitative approaches. In order to be able to explore the meaning of events or phenomena that appear to be the impact of South Korean cultural trends on consumer purchasing decisions for Mujigae products and also to obtain specific, in-depth and transparent data from the results of consumer interviews. Data analysis was carried out using Narrative Analysis techniques to get to know consumers more deeply and their perspectives on Mujigae products.The research results show that elements of Korean culture such as the influence of trends generated by K-pop celebrities, packaging design, and marketing campaign themes significantly increase consumer attention and interest in Mujigae products. Consumers, especially young ones, show a strong preference for products related to Korean culture. Apart from that, the use of social media has proven to be effective in increasing engagement and brand awareness. Hallyu trend has a positive impact on sales of Mujigae products in Surabaya. Marketing strategies that integrate elements of Korean culture can encourage consumer loyalty and increase sales volume. Therefore, companies are advised to continue to innovate and follow developments in Korean cultural trends and consider expanding research coverage to other large cities in Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid development of the times affects the development of technology as well. The increasingly advanced technology also helps facilitate everything, including shopping. The rise of online marketplace development in Indonesia, starting from Tokopedia, Bukalapak, BliBli, OLX, and also Shopee has provided convenience for many people. But behind this positive side, of course, there is a negative side to the development of this marketplace. In this study, researchers are looking for the effect of trust, price, and service quality on online shopping customer satisfaction in the Shopee Surabaya marketplace. This study has a period of 2023 to 2024 by taking a population of all Surabaya people and a sample of 78 people. This study uses quantitative causality methods, and the results of this study found that trust has a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Price has a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Service Quality has a significant effect on customer satisfaction. And simultaneously trust, price, and service quality affect customer satisfaction shopping online at the Shopee Surabaya marketplace.

Abstract

Du Pont System analysis includes all activity ratios and profit margins on sales to show how these ratios affect profitability, and is an integrative measurement of financial performance. This research was conducted to find out how effective the company is in managing the company's financial performance. This study aims to determine the analysis of the financial performance of telecommunication companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2020-2022 using the Du Pont System Analysis. PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, PT XL Axiata Tbk, PT Indosat Tbk and PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk by using the Du Pont System Method.Data analysis method used in this research is Du Pont System Method. The variables used in this study are Total Asset Turnover, Net Profit Margin, and Return on Investment. The data used are secondary data in the form of company financial statements. The results showed that PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk has a very good financial performance where all variables are above the industry average. PT XL Axiata Tbk has a fairly good financial performance because only the Net Profit Margin variable is above the industry average. PT Indosat has a relatively good financial performance where only the Total Asset Turnover variable is above the industry average. PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk has poor financial performance because all variables are below the industry average.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of product quality, service quality, and price on customer satisfaction at Nay Coffee and Space, located in Surabaya. The population for this research consists of all visitors to the café. Sampling was conducted using the Cochran formula, resulting in 97 respondents as the study sample. To analyze the data, partial multiple regression analysis was performed using SPSS for Windows version 22. The results indicate that, simultaneously, product quality, service quality, and price have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. However, the partial testing results show that product quality does not have a significant impact on customer satisfaction. Conversely, service quality and price were found to have a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. These findings provide valuable insights for the management of Nay Coffee and Space, allowing them to leverage this information to enhance service quality and pricing strategies to improve customer satisfaction. By focusing on these aspects, Nay Coffee and Space is expected to strengthen customer loyalty and support their business growth in the future.

Abstract

construction industry is known for its complex and dynamic nature, making project management a very important aspect to ensure time and cost effectiveness. Although project management is very important, many construction projects in Indonesia still experience delays, which can result in significant financial losses and damage to the company's good name. This research aims to examine the application of descriptive analysis in analyzing construction project management practices inIndonesia, with a focus on identifying schedule and cost analysis estimates at University X in Surabaya. This research uses a qualitative research approach, involving interviews with construction parties directly involved in the field. The data collected was then analyzed using descriptive analysis, which involved scheduling estimates using Microsoft Project tools. The research results show that poor planning, insufficient resources, and ineffective communication are among the factors that contributeto construction project delays. The research also found that the effective schedule and cost by eliminating delay factors on this project was 32 weeks and IDR 33,566,78,158, then methods and alternatives that can be applied according to actual conditions in the field are accelerating work that is on the critical path. The research results show that the implementation of these strategies and methods can produce a project schedule that is 2 weeks faster. The contributions of this research includeproviding an in-depth look at the factors that contribute to construction project delays and proposing practical strategies to speed up schedules. The results of this research can provide information to project managers and construction practitioners on how to improve their project management practices and achieve better results.

Abstract

Currently, Mandarin is one of the subjects taught in almost all private schools in Indonesia. Almost all schools have made Mandarin a compulsory subject, including at St. Theresia 1 Catholic Elementary School in Surabaya. However, during the teaching and learning process, both teachers and students encounter many obstacles and challenges. The most common issue in learning Mandarin is recognizing Hanzi characters. Therefore, teachers strive to find appropriate and effective methods to make learning Mandarin easier for students. In this thesis, the author elaborates on the effectiveness of using the Fly Swatter game media for mastering Mandarin vocabulary in class 5B at St. Theresia 1 Catholic Elementary School in Surabaya. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test design. It concludes that the use of the Fly Swatter game media is effective in improving the learning outcomes of class 5B students at St. Theresia 1 Catholic Elementary School in Surabaya.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of BINGO as a Learning Medium for Mandarin Vocabulary Comprehension among 6th-Grade Students at Elementary Anugerah School Sidoarjo. This study examines the effectiveness of BINGO as a learning medium for improving the Mandarin vocabulary comprehension of 6th-grade students at Elementary Anugerah School Sidoarjo. The BINGO game is utilized as a tool to enhance students' ability to read Hanzi, with the goal of fostering a greater interest in learning Mandarin through an engaging and enjoyable learning medium. This activity is supported by various methods, including the drill method, lecture method, and the use of PowerPoint, which together contribute to the success of the BINGO game. The BINGO game requires the use of PowerPoint as a platform for the BINGO board, which can be pre-designed to streamline the game's execution and save time. In conducting this activity, research methods are essential to assess the effectiveness of the approach. Therefore, the study employed pre-test and post-test methods to evaluate the students' condition before and after the implementation of the BINGO game, allowing for a thorough analysis of its impact on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Nowadays popular culture can come in many different kinds of forms and platforms and can be accessed by many people, since it is mass-produced, and can be accepted by the people from all classes. According to Abhishek Kumar Singh (2022) popular culture means a culture that can be accepted by the society of all ages.This study aims to analyze the accuracy of heroism in a character named Kratos, who serves as the protagonist and the only controllable character in the God of War video game, using qualitative research methods, this study explores how, no matter how brutal is he, this weird bald man still have the heroic side inside him, along with the accuracy of the mythological elements inside. It is important to remember the significance of analyzing character traits in video games.
