Abstract

This company operates in the field of selling frying pans in Indonesia. Specifically, it operates in the distribution of frying pans made from aluminum. Currently, this company uses social media platforms which include social media which is currently popular, where social media has features and makes it easier for people all over Indonesia, even all of Indonesia can reach. This research aims to determine the influence of consumer behavior on the decision to purchase frying pans at UD. Berkat Utama Surabaya, through the social media platform Facebook, understands the influence of Facebook users on the decision to purchase frying pans at UD. Berkat Utama Surabaya and assesses the level of consumer satisfaction after purchasing a frying pan at UD. Berkat Utama Surabaya via social media Facebook. The research method used is qualitative. The respondents in this research were 10 frying pan buyers who made purchases via the Facebook Social Media application. The research variables consist of independent variables: consumer behavior, usage, dependent variable: purchasing decisions. The data analysis technique uses analytical descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that consumer behavior has an important role in the decision to purchase frying pans via social media Facebook at UD Berkat Utama Surbaya. Various influencing factors such as motivation, perception, learning and consumer attitudes have an impact on purchasing decisions. The use of social media Facebook is effective as a marketing channel and influences frying pan purchasing decisions at UD Berkat Utama Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of working capital turnover, inventory turnover, and total asset turnover on profitability in food and beverage subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2017-2022. The research method used is quantitative with secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of food and beverage subsector companies listed on IDX. Purposive sampling technique was used, and the data were analyzed using SPSS version 23. The results showed that working capital turnover and inventory turnover negatively affect profitability with significance values of 0,016 and 0,017, respectively, while total asset turnover does not significantly affect profitability with a significance value of 0,915.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology in the era of globalization has brought many new innovations in various fields, including banking. This research aims to determine consumer behavior towards using BCA mobile banking in the city of Surabaya. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used was through interviews, observation and documentation with 10 selected sources who met the criteria determined by the researcher. The results of interviews with 10 informants revealed that BCA mobile banking is widely used by the public, BCA ATMs are everywhere, QRIS payments can be used at any merchant, the features and appearance are simple.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the types of ornaments found in the Boen Bio Temple building at Jalan Kapasari No. 131 and their symbolic meanings. This study is descriptive and qualitative. The variety of ornaments found at the main building of Boen Bio Temple in Kapasan area was the focus of this research. Literature review, observation, documentation and interviews were used to collect the research data. A triangulation of the sources was carried out to verify the veracity of the data obtained. After data collection, the data was presented, reduced and conclusions were drawn. From the research results, the ornaments found in the outer and inner buildings of the Boen Bio Temple are as follows: Killin ornaments, a pair of lions, phoenix birds, 2 dragon poles, bats, five doors, 11 dragon lamps,4 entrance pillars, Zhong xiao lian jie ornaments,6 windows in the main room,5 lamps on the roof of the entrance, 2 paintings on the entrance wall. The results of this study shows that the use of ornaments in certain areas of the temple building has symbolic meanings are rich in moral values, one of which is a symbol of protection that can be passed on by these symbols for those who believe in them.

Abstract

Drama Tiongkok merupakan salah satu media belajar Bahasa Mandarin yang paling banyak diminati, oleh karena itu penulis membuat penelitian ini yang memerlukan tinjauan pustaka sebagai landasan teori. Penulis melakukan penelitian ini dengan metode penelitian kuesioner yang tentunya penulis mencari responden dari universitas-universitas yang ada di Indonesia, sehingga penulis mendapat responden dari Pulau Jawa dan Sulawesi, responden yang mengisi kuesioner tersebut sebagian besar dari Jawa Timur dan Jawa Barat. Dari pertanyaan yang diberikan penulis, responden menjawab dengan cara memilih jawaban dari pilihan yang ada dan juga terdapat pertanyaan essay dikarenakan penulis ingin melihat secara langsung jawaban dari responden. Dalam penelitian ini diketahui pengaruh dari Drama Tiongkok terhadap minat responden, yaitu: pengaruh seperti apa yang akan diberikan dari Drama Tiongkok dan seberapa besar pengaruh yang diberikan. Kemudian dari pembahasan tersebut penulis juga akan memberikan kesimpulan akhir dan saran berupa banyak responden yang merasakan pengaruh positif dari menonton Drama Tiongkok terhadap minat responden dalam belajar Bahasa Mandarin.

Abstract

Mandarin is needed today, many schools require learning Mandarin. The author found a problem in learningactivities at SD X Surabaya, namely learning media that is not supportive so that students do not have interestin learning. Therefore, to overcome problems in learning, the author uses flashcard game media, this learningfocuses on improving students' ability to write vocabulary. The research uses a quantitative method by takingthe results of the pre-test and post-test student scores which are then compared. From the results of thecalculation, it can be seen from the percentage of student completion, initially only 6.7%, now it is 100%,which has increased considerably, namely 93.3%. This shows that the increase in students' understanding ofthe vocabulary taught.

Abstract

Bahasa tabu, juga dikenal sebagai 'kebebasan berbicara', adalah salah satu cara orang mengekspresikan ketidaksetujuan mereka terhadap jenis perilaku tertentu yang diyakini tidak sesuai norma, baik untuk alasan supranatural atau pelanggaran kata-kata tabu. Ada banyak kata-kata tabu dalam penelitian ini yang akan diperiksa untuk mengetahui jenis dan fungsiapa yang terkandung dalam posting oleh artis terkenal Cardi B. Studi deskriptif ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan fakta dan fenomena yang sederhana untuk dijelaskan dan memungkinkan pengembangan hipotesis baru yang konsisten dengan model. Peneliti mencari kata-kata yang relevan dengan konteks yang berkaitan dengan masalah masyarakat dan menganalisis jenis dan fungsi kata-kata terlarang yang digunakan dalam posting Cardi B. Dengan menggunakan teori Wardaugh (1986) dan Jay (1996), peneliti menginvestigasi sekitar 20 kata Tabu yang dapat dikombinasikan dan ditafsirkan memiliki berbagai jenis dan fungsi. Jenis yang ditemukan oleh peneliti adalah kata-kata tabu yang terkait dengan seks, bagian tubuh, rasisme, dan LGBT, sedangkan untuk fungsi kategori bahasa vulgar, kecabulan, pelecehan seksual, serta makian dan penghinaan ditemukan pada unggahan Cardi B di Twitter.

Abstract

The continuous popularity of wayang up to the present day demonstrates its importance and significance in people's lives. Wayang Golek and Wayang Potehi are two forms of wayang that have their own unique characteristics. Wayang Potehi, of Chinese descent, uses puppets and often depicts stories about Chinese figures and legends. Developed from wayang kulit, wayang golek is made of wood and tells the stories of the Ramayana and Mahabharata, the cultural heritage of Java. Both types of wayang have similarities in terms of history and both use wood as the main material for making puppets. This research focuses on the comparison and similarities between Wayang Potehi from Jombang and Wayang Golek from Bogor, specifically in terms of materials and tools used in production, as well as the performance flow. The aim is to determine whether there is a strong connection between the two types of wayang and to understand how their histories are related. The research questions include the materials used in the making of wayang and the performance flow of both types of wayang.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the intrinsic elements of Eka Kurniawan's novel Cantik Itu Luka, The study focuses on the character Dewi Ayu, examining the emotions she experiences, including anger, love, sadness, and disgust. By utilizing intrinsic element theory, this research delves into the novel's characterization, plot development, and conflict to uncover how these elements shape Dewi Ayu's complex personality and journey throughout the narrative. This study aims to explore how theauthor portrays Dewi Ayu's struggles and the various emotions that define her character. The findings reveal that Dewi Ayu encounters numerous challenges, each contributing to the richness of her character and the overall narrative. Through a detailed analysis of the intrinsic elements, this research demonstrates how Eka Kurniawan uses these literary techniques to create a powerful and emotionally resonant story. The results offer valuable insights into the deeper layers of meaningwithin the novel, emphasizing the importance of intrinsic elements in shaping the story and its characters.

Abstract

Integration of digital technology in smart apartment design is crucial to meet the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities. As life expectancy increases, architects face the challenge of designing homes that adhere to universal design principles, including accessibility, safety, comfort, and independence for residents experiencing physical decline, such as hearing, vision, or mobility impairments. In this context, multidisciplinary collaboration is essential to drive behavioral change and create a sustainable future through inclusive design. Research on the MS Queensland Caboolture Apartments in Queensland, Australia, highlights the importance of inclusive and accessible housing for people with disabilities. These apartments, part of the Orion on Rowe community, are designed with features like ramps, wide doors, and smart hometechnology to enhance the independence and comfort of their residents. The research findings indicate that these apartments have successfully improved the quality of life for their residents, with 77% reporting increased well-being. This underscores the importance of design that considers special needs in modern architecture, creating homes that are not only comfortablebut also support the independence and well-being of the occupants.
