Abstract

Background: Iron sand from Ampenan Beach, Lombok, containing approximately 74.5% Fe₃O₄, has significant potential as a locally sourced raw material for metal casting. However, its mechanical properties, particularly hardness and microstructural uniformity, often require improvement to meet industrial application standards. One promising approach to enhance these properties is alloying with recycled aluminum materials. Objective: This study aims to investigate the effect of adding recycled aluminum on the hardness and microstructural characteristics of iron sand castings. Methods: The experiment was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with aluminum content variations of 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8%, each repeated three times. The aluminum used was sourced from recycled beverage cans with a purity of 98.7%. Hardness testing was performed using Brinell, Rockwell, and Vickers methods, while microstructural analysis was carried out using optical microscopy. Results: The results indicate that aluminum addition significantly enhances material hardness. The optimum result was achieved at 6% aluminum content, resulting in a 28.8% increase in Brinell hardness compared to the control sample. Microstructural refinement was also observed, characterized by a reduction in grain size from 50.0 µm at 0% Al to 25.0 µm at 6% Al, the formation of a ferritic matrix with evenly distributed Al₄C₃ and Fe₃Al phases, and a transformation in graphite morphology from lamellar to nodular. However, excessive aluminum addition (8%) led to a reduction in hardness due to over-alloying and phase clustering. Conclusion: Optimizing the addition of recycled aluminum, particularly at a 6% composition, effectively improves the mechanical performance and microstructural quality of iron sand castings. These findings highlight the potential of recycled aluminum alloys to enhance the performance of locally sourced cast materials while supporting sustainable practices in metallurgy.

Abstract

Background: In the digital marketing era, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is widely adopted to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability. However, CRM implementation often emphasizes technology while neglecting service quality and relational processes, resulting in transactional relationships rather than long-term customer engagement. Therefore, examining the combined role of CRM and service quality in influencing customer outcomes remains important. Objective: This study analyzes the relationship between CRM implementation, service quality, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, and profitability at PT. Syntax Corporation Indonesia through its parent company, Riviera Publishing. Methods: This research employed a seven-step scientific methodological approach. Data were collected through structured interviews and surveys involving marketing team representatives implementing a digital-based CRM system. The study examined four main variables: CRM practices (human resources, processes, and technology), service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty, as well as their impact on company profitability. Results: The findings indicate that CRM implementation does not have a significant effect on customer satisfaction, as reflected by the dominance of one-time transactions and limited utilization of customer databases for long-term relationship building. In contrast, service quality has a significant positive effect on customer loyalty, while CRM practices positively influence company profitability through improved marketing efficiency. Conclusion: CRM implementation alone does not significantly enhance customer satisfaction but contributes positively to profitability, whereas service quality plays a crucial role in strengthening customer loyalty. These results emphasize the importance of integrating CRM systems with effective service quality management to achieve optimal customer relationship outcomes in digital marketing contexts.

Abstract

Background: Amid digital transformation and the demand for adaptive public governance, Knowledge Management (KM) has become a strategic asset for government agencies. Previous studies have examined individual KM success factors—such as leadership, organizational culture, or technology readiness—yet most remain fragmented, case-specific, and lack an integrated strategic framework tailored to public sector governance. Objective: This study aims to identify key components and effective strategies for implementing KM in government organizations through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA 2020 framework. Methods: A total of 600 articles were screened from five leading scientific databases, resulting in 20 eligible studies for in-depth analysis. The review addresses two questions: (1) What are the key components of KM in government. (2) What strategies effectively support KM implementation in the public sector. Results: KM success in government rests on two interrelated domains: KM Foundation (leadership, organizational culture, structure, readiness, and technological infrastructure) and KM Solution (knowledge capture, sharing, discovery processes, regulatory mechanisms, and user-friendly systems). Nine strategic implementation areas were identified, including transformational leadership, human capital development, technology integration, performance alignment, and regulatory strengthening. Unlike prior studies that examined KM components separately, this research integrates fragmented findings into a structured and strategic framework combining foundational and operational dimensions. The study contributes theoretically by conceptualizing KM as a strategic governance capability and practically by offering policy-relevant guidance for strengthening adaptive, collaborative, and knowledge-driven public sector reform. Conclusion: An integrated and strategically aligned KM approach is essential for sustainable and effective public governance.

Abstract

Background: The rapid growth of pop culture conventions has intensified competition and heightened expectations for transparent and efficient exhibitor registration systems. Comic Frontier, one of Indonesia's largest pop culture events, has faced recurring exhibitor dissatisfaction concerning booth registration and curation processes. Objective: This study seeks to identify gaps between exhibitor expectations and experiences, determine root causes of complaints, examine best practices from comparable events, and propose strategic improvements for a more effective system. Methods: A mixed-method approach was applied. Quantitative data from 120 respondents were analyzed using gap analysis, ANOVA, and descriptive statistics. Qualitative insights were obtained through 12 semi-structured interviews and two Focus Group Discussions (14 participants), structured using the Kepner-Tregoe method and prioritized via Pareto analysis. Instrument reliability exceeded Cronbach's alpha of 0.70. A weighting matrix assessed the relative impact of root causes. Results: Significant perception gaps were identified, particularly in transparency of curation criteria (mean gap = 1.42) and clarity of registration timelines (mean gap = 1.31). ANOVA revealed significant differences in satisfaction across experience levels (F(2, 117) = 8.74, p < 0.01, η² = 0.13), indicating disproportionate disadvantages for newcomers. Structural constraints—rapid applicant growth versus limited organizational capacity—were identified as primary causes. Benchmarking emphasized structured timelines and clear criteria as critical trust-building mechanisms. Conclusion: The study proposes a structured transparent registration framework as a short-term solution and an integrated digital platform as a long-term strategy. These measures are expected to enhance fairness, reduce uncertainty, and strengthen governance in large-scale cultural event management.
