Abstract

Water is an essential resource for human being and the needs significantly increases from time to time. The highly demand of water may cause water scarcity. Based on that condition, groundwater exploration is urgently needed, where at least the location and depth of the groundwater can be identified through an accurate method. Geoelectric, on the other hand, is a geophysics method that is commonly used for identifying geology structures, including for groundwater exploration or identification. The objectivity of this research was to compare the geoelectric configuration accuracy, which Schlumberger, Wenner, Wenner-Schlumberger, Dipole-dipole, and Pole-pole were discussed. As a result, configuration of Wenner amd Wenner-Schlumberger showed the best results based on the vertical resolutiuon, the CST, and the sounding parameters.

Abstract

Kelompok Usaha Peningkatan Pendapatan Keluarga Sejahtera di Dusun Dukuh I, Demen, Temon, Kulon Progo. Kelompok UPPKS ini beranggotakan kurang lebih 10 orang yang bermata pencaharian adalah petani. Sedangkan unti usaha dari kelompok UPPKS ini adalah catering dan pertanian. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan dan membantu kelompok dalam proses penanganan tanaman padi. Dari hasil tinjauan awal tim pengabdian di lahan pertanian terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi Kelompok UPPKS. Permasalahan yang dihadapai petani adalah penyiangan gulma berupa tumbuhan liar di antara tanaman padi menjadi ancaman bagi tumbuh perkembangan tanaman padi. Biasanya petani mengatasi permasalahan ini dengan mencabut gulma tersebut dengan cara manual. Kegiatan ini membutuhkan tenaga yang banyak dan waktu yang lama dan belum adanya mesin yang digunakan petani untuk mengatasi masalah gulma. Metode palaksanaan yaitu dengan identifikasi masalah, penyelesaian masalah, pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini tim pengabdian membuat inovasi alat pembasmi gulma menggunakan mesin. Iptek yang ditawarkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah mesin penyiang gulma padi. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah perancangan dan pembuatan mesin penyiang gulma dan mengadakan pelatihan dan pendampingan langkah-langkah penggunaan dan pemeliharaan mesin penyiang gulma yang efektif. Hasil dari PKM ini didapatkan satu unit mesin penyiang gulma padi serta peningkatan ketrampilan penggunaan dan perawatan mesin penyiang gulma padi pada Kelompok UPPKS Dusun Dukuh I, Demen, Temon, Kulon Progo

Abstract

Scattering of rocks can be done in various ways depending on the characteristics of the rock to be crushed. Blasting activities aim to remove or scatter material from the parent rock so that the size of the resulting fragmentation can facilitate further mining activities. The data used in this study is primary data. blasting geometry needs to modify the spacing because it affects the size of the rock, using a small level of space density will get a smaller rock size and reduce the number of rock boulders or bolder. The results of blasting 1 - 3 are calculated directly after blasting using the screening method with a size of 5 x 5 meters, the rock size is <20 cm = 22.60 percent, 21-40 cm = 25.34 percent, 41-60 cm = 28.08 percent, 61-80 cm = 22.60 percent, and 80 > cm = 1.37 percent. After accumulating the percentage, the size 0-60 = 76.03 percent, 61-80 cm = 23.97 percent, there are still 23.97 percent of rocks whose size is above 60 cm. The size of the retained rock is 61-80 cm = 23.97 percent, because the rock is still above 20 percent, it is necessary to destroy the rock using a mechanical method using a heavy rock breaker.

Abstract

Penentuan sudut kemiringan lereng yang dapat di terima pada tambang terbuka merupakan aspek kunci dalam desain tambang, karena hal ini menyiratkan pencarian titik keseimbangan yang optimal antara manfaat ekonomi dengan resiko pekerjaan tambang. Kegiatan penambangan akan menyebabkan perubahan distribusi tegangan pada lereng yang dapat menyebabkan longsor. Kajian geoteknik ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi terhadap desain bukaan lereng tambang batubara, melakukan perhitungan FK Life Of Mine (LOM) pada PIT-1, PIT-2, PIT-3, PIT-3 PIT-4, PIT-5 bagian utara dan selatan, yang berlokasi di kecamatan Merapi Barat, Kabupaten Lahat, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini dikerjakan dengan melakukan perhitungan terhadap data primer dan sekunder yang ada, sehingga hasil yang di dapatkan adalah nilai rill pada obyek. Metode kuantitatif ini dilakukan dengan pengujian lansung baik di lapangan maupun di laboratorium, seperti RQD, RMR, dan GSI.Menghitung nilai FK menggunakan metode limit equilibrium. Abstract

Biodiesel, which is a methyl ester of fatty acids, has been considered as a renewable fuel that is environmentally friendly because it is able to support the sustainability of the carbon dioxide cycle. Biodiesel is conventionally synthesized from oil or fat with a homogeneous base catalyst, such as potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide. However, the use of homogeneous catalysts has several drawbacks, such as: it requires a tight free fatty acid content, is prone to oil saponification reactions, is relatively difficult to separate, and cannot be regenerated. Therefore, heterogeneous catalysts in biodiesel synthesis are considered as a substitute for homogeneous catalysts. Calcium oxide is a solid heterogeneous catalyst that has been proven effective in assisting the transesterification reaction of oil into biodiesel. Calcium oxide can be synthesized from calcium carbonate, which is widely found in waste, such as blood clam and egg shells. This study aims to synthesize and characterize calcium oxide from egg and crab shells as a catalyst in the synthesis of biodiesel from used cooking oil. Calcium oxide was obtained by calcination to blood clam and egg shells at 800 oC for 8 hours. The calcination results were further characterized by the method of x-ray diffraction and BET (Brunauer-Emmet-Teller) isotherm adsorption-desorption to determine the type of oxide phase formed and the surface characterization. The synthesis of biodiesel was carried out at a reaction time of 2 hours, a temperature of 60 oC, a molar ratio of oil to methanol 1:12, and a catalyst content of 10%. The results showed that calcium oxide was successfully synthesized from blood clam and egg shells waste with different characteristics. Calcium oxide from the two wastes is able to catalyze the transesterification reaction of used cooking oil into biodiesel, and biodiesel is produced according to SNI 7182-2015 concerning biodiesel quality standards. Abstract

Pandes Village is a village in Klaten Regency which has a waste problem. One of the biggest problems of waste is non-biodegradable waste such as baby diapers, adult diapers and sanitary napkins. The productivity of non-reusable waste in Pandes Village in the form of waste used for children's diapers, adult diapers and community sanitary napkins is 3.69 tons/week. Partner's Problems and Solutions is that the capacity for processing waste burning equipment is still not sufficient to meet the needs of the community, so it is necessary to optimize the ability to use these tools.The purpose of this program for the TPS 3R Berkah Real Waste Bank is to become a pilot project in managing non-biodegradable waste with appropriate technology so as to reduce the amount of waste in the TPA Troketon Village, Pedan District. Pandes, Wedi District, Klaten Regency.The implementation methods in this program are Observation of Previous Waste Burning Equipment, Assistance in making the optimization of the Incinerator, Making the Garbage Burner holder at the TPS 3R Berkah Real, Assisting in the operation of the equipment to Partners of the Waste Bank TPS 3R Berkah Real Pandes, Promotion of the use of tools from Partners of the Pandes Blessing TPS Waste Bank to the management of the 3R Blessings Real TPS in Pandes Village, Wedi District, Klaten Regency and Evaluation of activities.

Abstract

Shredded is a food that is quite popular in the community because of its soft taste and texture and has a long shelf life, so it is very suitable to be used as processed meat products to make it more durable. Making Beef Shredded consists of several stages ranging from boiling, refining fibers or shredding meat, mixing spices, soaking, frying, and draining oil. Mahkota Abon Business Group is a Abon business group located on Jl. Kaliurang Dusun Ngebo Rt. 07, Rw. 23, Sukoharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman, Yogyakarta, which in the process of making the shredded meat is still simple and manual, especially in the roasting process which requires a lot of energy and time. Meat shredding machine has been made and effectively can be operated easily to produce hygienic meat slices. Therefore, through this service, it is hoped that the shredded production capacity of MSME partners will increase both in terms of quantity and quality. The socio-economic impact after this service is carried out is an increase in knowledge about the components, workings, and maintenance of the meat frying machine, so it is hoped that the shredded meat produced by partners will increase in quality and quantity.

Abstract

Picking is the process of moving an object while packaging is the process of packing the object. The development of industrial automation systems 4.0 allows both processes to be carried out using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and robots. However, most industries in Indonesia are still using human labor. This method is considered less effective because human can feel tired and bored. This study aims to make the prototype of a picking and packaging system using PLC and robots. Robot 1 plays role in loading objects, robot 2 plays role in sorting, arranging, and packing objects, while robot 3 plays role in putting the lid on the packaging. System is made using 3 Dobot Magician robots, 3 conveyors, and 1 Outseal Nano V.4 PLC. System communicates with each other through an intermediary circuit using the PIC817 IC optocoupler. The results of the study experiment carried out showed that the system worked well and as desired, the system can move objects from the point where they placed, then sort objects by color to pack. Green objects will be packed while other colors will be returned. When the package is full, the system carries away it to be given the lid on the packaging

Abstract

Sistem Perakitan merupakan salah satu sistem yang banyak digunakan di industri diantaranya sistem perakitan mobil, motor, komponen industri dan lain-lain. Beberapa industri masih menggunakan sistem manual, sehingga masih diperlukan tenaga pekerja manusia sehingga kesalahan pekerja dapat menyebabkan kerusakan barang dan menghambat waktu, sehingga menyebabkan kerugian bagi perusahaan. Oleh karena itu dibuat sistem perakitan yang berbasis robot dobot magician sebagai pengganti tenaga pekerja manusia. Propotipe sistem perakitan berbasis robot dobot magician menggunakan DobotStudio sebagai software pemrogramannya dan menggunakan sensor sebagai pendeteksi warna pada barang, photoelectric sensor sebagai pendeteksi barang untuk mematikan dan menyalakan conveyor, dan conveyor sebagai pembawa barang. Sistem kendali prototipe robot perakitan ini terdiri dari 4 robot dobot magician, 5 buah photoelectric sensor, 2 conveyor, dan 2 end effector suction cup. Prototipe robot perakitan berbasis robot Dobot Magician yang telah dibuat telah dapat bekerja dengan baik. Robot dapat memasangkan kerangka miniatur mobil yang merupakan proses dalam sistem perakitan

Abstract

The research focuses on dacite intrusion, in the Hargerejo area in the southern Kulonprogo Mountains and administratively in the Begelen District, Purworejo Regency, Central Java Province. The presence of a hydrothermal system in the Kulon Progo area is in the form of low-medium sulfidation epithermal in Kokap, Epithermal - Lithocap in Bagelen, and high-sulfidation epithermal in Menoreh (Magelang). In the case of the Bagelen intrusion, it is suspected that it is part of the hydrothermal system that forms the Au-Ag hydrothermal system. The research uses geological mapping methods and surface sampling on dacite rocks and laboratory observations with polarization and ore microscopy. This study focuses on the character of quartz and the presence of fluid inclusions by using the qualitative concept of fluid inclusion petrography. The lithology of the Bagelen area consists of volcanic breccias, andesite intrusions, dacites, and alluvial deposits. Petrographic analysis of dacite samples showed a porphyritic texture with 55-76% phenocrysts in the form of quartz (8-22%), hornblenda (3-11%), plagioclase (40-55%), surrounded by a bottom mass of volcanic glass and feldspar microlites. , as well as opaque minerals in the form of pyrite and residual magnetite as much as 2-5% and the base mass undergoes diagenesis and is changed to silica. Quartz is divided into types 1 and 2, indicating the presence of primary and pseudosecondary inclusion types. Quartz type 1 (qz-1) shows an irregular distribution and pseudosecondary trail with Type I, II, III inclusions. In type 2 quartz, it is seen that the inclusions are dominated by type II & III or L<V and L>V biphase, with low to high vapor densities. Inclusions in type 2 quartz show a primary pattern and are similar to the general epithermal vein fluid on the surface. The presence of fluid inclusions in the magmatic quartz at Bagelen, indicates the existence of a hydrothermal system formed due to changes in silicate character, and affects the fluid character from magmatic to hydrothermal. Epithermal or related mineralization is more influenced by the presence of type 2 quartz, and subsequent hydrothermal processes. The type of mineralization affected is intermediate sulfidation with a characteristic presence of disseminated pyrite-chalcopyrite in dacite. The fluid that affects mineralization is dominated by the epithermal system. Keyword : Exploration, Fluid, Copper, Gold, Kulon Progo
