Abstract

Background: Paguyuban Village, Way Lima District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province, has significant potential in various sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, fisheries, and others. However, this potential is not matched by public knowledge regarding financial records, such as the exclusion of personal assets from business activities and poor record-keeping and bookkeeping. As a result, MSMEs struggle to determine their revenue and obtain credit from relevant financial institutions. It is not easy for MSMEs to obtain credit financing from banks or non-bank institutions because their financial statements are not available.Aims: This community service is carried out by introducing and training MSME actors on the SIAPIK application for recording and preparing financial reports.Method: This training was conducted using a Focus Grub Discusion (FGD) through lectures, discussions, and simulations of how to use the SIAPIK application, resulting in qualitative data. Results: The SIAPIK application training showed that MSME actors better understand the importance of financial statements. The result of this activity was an increase in MSME owners' knowledge regarding recording business financial transactions using the SIAPIK application, from 49% to 97%.

Abstract

Socialization is a process of interaction and learning carried out by the community with the aim of providing education related to matters that are not directly correlated with the learning process in schools. Many farmers in Braja Asri village use chemical pesticides to kill plant pests (OPT) which is the background for the socialization regarding the use of this botanical pesticide. The choice of noni as the basic ingredient for making pesticides is because many residents have noni fruit plants that are not used in their yards. In addition, additional ingredients in the form of garlic are also used in the process of making this botanical pesticide because it is easy to find. The implementation method for the KKN work program period II in 2024 at the University of Lampung is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) in the form of an approach in the process of empowerment and increasing community participation that emphasizes community involvement in all activities carried out. The result is, as many as 30 people participated in this socialization activity until its completion.

Abstract

Background: Childhood trauma can impact a person's mental health both during and after adulthood. This can be caused by childhood conditions, especially within the family environment.Aims: The goal of this activity was to improve participants' ability to communicate empathetically, thereby building healthier and warmer parenting relationships. The majority of participants were informal workers facing economic pressure, lack of knowledge, and emotional exhaustion. These factors often go unnoticed, leading to verbal abuse that can potentially lead to toxic parenting styles. This can cause emotional wounds (inner child) in children, which can continue to impact the next generation. Methods: The community service method included delivering interactive materials on the concept of the inner child and its impact on children in the future. Additionally, presentations on the role of empathic communication, simulations of everyday parenting situations, and a question-and-answer session were provided to explore participants' experiences. Participants, mothers under the guidance of Pundi Rakyat in Central Jakarta, better understood the importance of empathetic communication in parenting.Result: The results of the activity demonstrated an increased understanding of mothers in responding to their children's behavior with a calmer and more reflective approach. These findings confirm that education that is applicable and close to the lives of participants is effective in promoting positive parenting in vulnerable communities.
