Abstract

Abstract The use of metal materials to support human life continues to grow along with the rapid development of science and technology. This greatly influences the technology to process it into a ready-to-use product. Among the production techniques used to make a product is the welding process. Welding is a method of joining that is widely used in steel building construction and machine construction. Another connection method used on metal joints is bolts and rivets. Welding technology, besides being able to be used to join and cut metal, can also be used to fill holes in castings, make hard coatings on tools, thicken worn parts, and other kinds of repairs. AISI 1037 is a carbon steel with a carbon content of around 0.37%, which is classified as Medium Carbon Steel. The tensile strength of AISI 1037 is 650 MPa with a yield stress of 350 MPa. A test has been carried out on AISI 1037 with the welding method, where the welding method used is the 1G and 1 F welding process. With this method compared to the mechanical properties of the welding results, the seam used is seam V with an E 6013 electrode with a diameter of 2.6mm. The welding process refers to the AWS D1.1 standard with the SMAW welding type with a plate thickness of 5mm.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of variations in electric current in SMAW welding on tensile strength and microstructure. One of the factors that affect the strength of a material is the mechanical strength of the material properties. if the material is welded, it can affect the tensile strength and structure of the material. This research uses AISI 1080 steel material with a diameter of 1.24mm which contains C = 0.083%, Si = 0.21%, Mn = 0.5%, P = 0.008%, S = 0.007%, Cu = 0.03%, Cr = 0.03%, Ni = 0.02%, B = 0.013%, Alt = 0.025%, As = 0.06%, N = 0.0038%, and O = 0.1%. Specimens were welded with varying electric currents at intervals of 25mA, starting from 700mA, 725mA, 750mA, 775mA, and 800mA using the splicing method. The tensile strength results from flash butt welding with a current of 700mA were 853.6N/mm², at a current of 725mA it was 867.7N/mm², at a current of 750mA it was 847.4N/mm², at a current of 775mA it was 881.8mA, and at a current of 800mA it was 805.3mA.

Abstract

In its development, every manufacturing industry increasingly makes people think more creatively and are faced with new problems, especially in making new innovations. The purpose of these production issues is to achieve faster and more efficient production targets. The metal machining process is an important factor to support the quality of the final product, but there is one obstacle that must be faced.The main shaft is a component on hino truck vehicles, to produce components that are precise in terms of size and good surfaces are used for machining processes using a CNC machine, to simplify the manufacturing process, it is assisted by the Cam X5 master program to produce the G Code program to be used on the machine CNC. The manufacturing process uses a CNC Turning Machine.This research is an application of the CAD CAM course, the mastercam software application is very helpful in component manufacturing innovation. The main shaft is a form of a product resulting from the machining process, the material for the main shaft is made of AISI 1050 material

Abstract

Based on the results of research in Majalengka Regency, it was found that there were 200 semi-finished wood processing secondary industries, spread over 26 sub-districts with the type of wood used being dominated by teak, mahogany, these types of wood are used for semi-finished materials in the form of frames, doors, windows, cabinets, sideboard and chairs. There is also production of wood that is native to Indonesia, namely wood carving. Wood carving has its own uniqueness because it is a human creation based on an aesthetic sense according to what the human himself wants. Wood carving works of art are usually created using sculpting techniques. The creation of works of wood carving with the arrangement of elements so that meaningful elements are formed and one must have creative sculpting skills to produce works that are good, attractive and have meaning and high aesthetic value as well as being useful in people's lives.

Abstract

Biogas is one solution to overcome community difficulties due to rising fuel prices and the scarcity of LPG gas, this technology can be immediately applied, especially for cattle breeders. Utilizing cow dung that is processed anaerobically in a digester which will produce methane gas as an alternative energy. In planning this household-scale biogas device, there are several components designed including a digester with a volume capacity of 400L with a filling capacity of 2/3 of the digester volume, the material used is HDPE plastic (High Density Polyethylene) and a holding capacity of 147 L which produces a flash time. fire for 20.01 minutes for 15 days of the fermentation process. Where the lowest pressure is obtained on the 3rd day with a pressure of 104.668,73 N/m2, and the maximum pressure is on the 12th day with a maximum pressure of 107.201,85 N/m2i. simulation using solidwork software results in the digester construction which is planned to be used because it has a fairly good level of security

Abstract

In manufacturing companies, production activities are a very important activity. If the production activities produce a lot of defective products, it will cause losses in the form of additional time and raw material costs for repairing these defective products, so that quality control is needed so that the company can produce products that comply with predetermined quality standards. This final project research was conducted at PT. XYZ Majalengka where this company is engaged in the service industry, production activities at PT. XYZ Majalengka is carried out based on a make to order response demand strategy, namely the company carries out production activities when there are orders from consumers. This research focuses on the production process of the pirn winder machine which functions to wind yarn raw materials according to the desired weight and according to the available TFO capacity (700 gr, 714 gr, 1000gr or 1500gr). However, regardless of production quality standards on the pirn winder machine, it does not rule out the possibility that defects will always occur. Therefore it is necessary to have quality control in the production process of this pirn winder machine. Its function is clear to reduce the number of defects and improve the quality of production produced. Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a statistical analysis used for quality control, starting from monitoring, analyzing, predicting, controlling and improving the production process and product quality through control charts. Statistical quality control using SPC (Statistical Process Control) has seven statistical tools that can be used as tools to control quality, namely, check sheets, histograms, P control charts, pareto diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, scatter diagrams, and diagrams. process.

Abstract

The use of energy which always comes from fossil fuels will eventually run out, so the development of renewable energy or alternative energy is very important to maintain petroleum reserves and as a substitute for fossil fuels which are the main energy source. One alternative energy is biomass which has not been widely used by the gasification method. The gas produced by the gasification process is utilized by burning it in a flare to get a flame. In this study, the 3D simulation method with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) was used to determine the temperature distribution on the flare walls using CFD simulations and to compare the temperature of the flare walls from the CFD simulation results with the test results. The results of this study, the distribution of combustion occurs in the flare with a temperature of 1106°C in the upper area close to the outlet boundary. The wall temperature comparison shows that the CFD simulation tends to be similar to the test results. This shows that computational fluid dynamic simulations can be used to predict fluid flow rates and combustion reactions.

Abstract

The existence of Basmati rice among the upper middle class in Indonesia is increasingly popular. Unfortunately, this rice is only grown in northern India and Pakistan. Fulfillment of rice must be imported and the price in Indonesia is relatively expensive. Responding to this phenomenon, the Center for Rice Research (BB Padi), the Agricultural Research and Development Agency succeeded in assembling a special rice variety Basmati. And given the name Baroma, an abbreviation of type Basmati Aromatic rice. And Baroma rice was launched in Subang in 2019 until now it has been recorded that several agricultural lands in Subang have planted this type. The more types of rice varieties, the more types of rice will be found. So that it will make consumers difficult to distinguish between types of rice with one another. Therefore, we need a solution to overcome this problem. And one solution that can be used is to use AI technology, as in the research we did. Using the CNN algorithm produces very good accuracy for detecting types of rice such as the type of data used for training data and test data. From the results of the model training carried out, it produces an accuracy rate of 98,52% while model testing to see how well the model predicts the label correctly is 97,80%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTA study has been carried out on the transmission shaft or main shaft used on the Supra x150 motorcycle vehicle. The material used for the main shaft component is made of SCr420 steel, which is an alloy steel similar to SAE 4118 or JIS SCM 420. The research carried out is the Temper Process with the aim of reducing hardness but increasing other mechanical properties, namely the more ductile nature of the material by how to vary the tempering temperature with the electric current used. This tempering process uses an induction furnace. The electric current used starts from 79 A, ​​80 A and 81 A with a holding time of 15 s, 20 s and 25 s for each Ampere.Tempering process with the required temperature and time is very influential on the hardness of the material. The lower the temperature and the shorter the Tempering process time, the higher the hardness of the material, and vice versa, the higher the temperature and the longer the Tempering process, the lower the hardness of the material.From the results of the tests that have been carried out, it is obtained that some cannot be applied, but if seen from the electric current used, the efficient one is test number 4 because it uses a current of 79 Amperes Keywords: Tempering, Current Strength, Supra X150 Motor, SAE 4118 Steel
