Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to describe the forms of lingual conversational implicatures that appear in communication between students at SMP WAHID HASYIM Sumberwudi Karanggeneng Lamongan. The method used in this research is the observation and interview method. The results of this research show that there are three lingual forms found, namely the command lingual form, the news lingual form and the question sentence lingual form. In this regard, there are six types of conversational implicatures in this research. The six types of conversational implicatures are inviting to refuse, mocking, ordering, requesting, and informing of facts. It is hoped that the results of this research can be used as a basis for capturing the implied meaning that the speaker wants to convey to the speech partner.

Abstract

Pramoedya Ananta Toer's novel Perburuan is one of the Indonesian literary works that raises the theme of history and postcolonialism. This novel depicts the life of Indonesian society during the Japanese occupation, with a focus on the struggle for independence experienced by the main character, Hardo, a leader of the rebellion against Japanese colonialism. The data collection technique used was a literature study, with the main data coming from Pramoedya Ananda Toer's novel Perburuan and relevant literature. In a historical context, Perburuan reflects the tension and resistance of colonial society against the colonizers, and shows the political and social realities during the transition to Indonesian independence. Through a postcolonial literary approach, this novel can be read as a form of criticism of colonial domination, while articulating the experiences of subalterns and marginalized voices in the official historical narrative. Pramoedya, with his narrative skills, successfully depicts the trauma, determination, and resistance of figures who strive to achieve freedom amidst uncertainty. Thus, Perburuan is not only a literary document about historical events, but also offers an alternative perspective that challenges the hegemony of colonial discourse, while enriching the study of postcolonial literature in Indonesia. The conclusion is that Pramoedya Ananta Toer's novel Perburuan makes an important contribution to Indonesian literature by depicting historical realities during the Japanese occupation while offering a postcolonial perspective that is critical of colonial hegemony. Through the character of Hardo, this novel displays the dynamics of the struggle and resistance of the Indonesian people in achieving independence, and articulates voices that have been marginalized by the official historical narrative. With a postcolonial literary approach, Perburuan is not only a literary witness to historical events, but also a medium for criticism of colonial domination and the affirmation of national identity. This novel enriches the study of postcolonial history and literature by offering a deep understanding of trauma, resilience, and socio-political dynamics in the pre-independence era of Indonesia. The purpose of writing this journal is 1. Identifying the Main Theme, analyzing the themes raised in the novel, such as the struggle against colonialism, betrayal, nationalism, and moral dilemmas. 2. Examining the Criticism of Colonial Hegemony, examining how this novel offers a postcolonial perspective by criticizing colonial domination and articulating the experiences of marginalized communities in historical narratives. 3. Examining the Dynamics of Figures and the Struggle for Independence, outlining the characterization of Hardo and the struggle, trauma, and resilience in it as symbols of resistance against the colonizers.

Abstract

This study discussed about the use of the Madurese speech level used by students of STKIP PGRI Sumenep in communicating at campus. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of levels of the Madurese language (ondhâgghâ bhâsa) as a form of language politeness (honorific) which was very important in speaking manners. The method was qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques using the listening proficient technique. The results of this study found several personal name greeting words, personal pronoun greeting words, academic title greetings, and job titles and ranks used by students according to the level of the Madurese language, namely, according to the kinds there are three (3); bhâsa enjâ 'iyâ, bhâsa engghi enten, and bhâsa èngghi bhunten and according to the ups and downs / sorot sandherrâ language is divided into three (3) parts, namely; bhâsa andhâp / low language, bhâsa tèngnga'an / middle language, and bhâsa tèngghi / high language. This research is hoped that students will be able to know the greeting words according to the level of the Madurese language correctly so that later they can communicate well and politely when dealing with lecturers or leaders on campus, especially at STKIP PGRI Sumenep Madura.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the form of politeness in the film Ancika 1995 by Pidi Baiq. This type of research is qualitative research. The subject of this study is the form of speech or conversation in the dialogue of the film Acika 1995 by Pidi Baiq. Data collection techniques are in the form of listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique in this study uses the work analysis technique. The results of this research concluded that in compliance with the principles of politeness in language through the dialogue or conversations of the characters in the film Ancika 1995, six principles of politeness in language were found to be adhered to, which were divided into compliance with the principle of wisdom in 6 utterances, compliance with the principle of generosity in 7 utterances, compliance with the principle of praise in 10 utterances, adherence to the principle of humility in 4 utterances, adherence to the principle of consensus in 14 utterances and Compliance with the principle of sympathy. a total of 7 utterances, a total of 47 utterances complying with the principles of language politeness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the critical discourse of the headlines in the November 2024 Edition of the “Pagar Alam Pos” newspaper. The data in this study are the critical discourse contained in the text of the letter in the November 2024 Edition of “Pagar Alam Pos”. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Based on the November 2024 edition using the Critical Discourse Analysis approach of Teun A. Van Dijk's model, it can be concluded that local media plays an important role in shaping public discourse through the use of structured, systematic, and ideological language. This analysis involves three main dimensions, namely the text dimension (macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure), the context dimension, and the social cognition dimension, which in total includes 97 analytical elements.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 6 OKU to read children's pantun in Indonesian language learning. The method used in this study is a descriptive method. The data collection technique used in this study is a children's pantun reading test. The analysis technique is carried out through a children's pantun reading test. The population and sample amounted to 24 students, through the children's pantun reading test, it turned out that students who got a score of 66-100 were 16 students or 66.66%. While students who got a score of less than 66-100 were 8 students or 33.33%. Thus, it can be concluded that fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 6 OKU are able to read children's pantun in Indonesian language learning. Suggestions for Indonesian language teachers can make children's pantun as an alternative to teaching pantun that will be delivered to students at school in order to increase student motivation so that students are able to improve their skills in reading children's pantun. Students should be more diligent in learning Indonesian, especially when learning about pantun, so that their knowledge of pantun is more developed. Other researchers are advised to conduct further research on pantun, such as how to write pantun, listen to pantun, and so on.
