Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the learning of Indonesian with using learning model inquiri Based Learning in Class V SD Negeri 6 OKU, and to investigate the increase in students' ability in writing descriptive paragraphs using learning model inquiri Based Learning. The method used in this study is an action research methods class. Data collection techniques, namely tests and observation techniques, and techniques of analyzing data is done by analyzing test data and observations data. Based on the entire population and sample 25 students, through writing test descriptive paragraphs in the first cycle increased, ie 61.32 during the pre cycle and increased to 74, 64 in the first cycle, and 1, 76 in cycle II. Based on the results of the second cycle all students have reached the standard overall KKM. Based on the result of test can be concluded that the students of Class V SD Negeri 6 OKU were able to write descriptive paragraph by using learning model of Inquiry Based Learning. As for advice to Indonesian teachers in general, it is advisable to try to apply this learning inquiri Based Learning in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to describe the ability of class VII students of SMP Negeri 32 OKU in writing narrative paragraphs before and after using the Contextual Teaching and Learning strategy, to describe the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning strategy in writing narrative paragraphs in class VII SMP Negeri 32 OKU. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a population of 150 students and a sample of 36 students. The data collection technique was writing narrative paragraphs and the data analysis technique used the t-test. The results showed that students' ability to write narrative paragraphs before using the CTL strategy, students who scored between 80 and above did not exist, students who scored between 66-79 there were 15 people (41.67%), students who scored between 56–65 there were 14 people (38.88%), students who scored between 46–55 there were 3 people (8.33%), students who scored between 00–45 were in the failed assessment category, there were 4 people (11, 11%). Then the results of the ability of class VII students of SMP Negeri 32 OKU in writing narrative paragraphs after using the CTL strategy, there were 11 students who scored between 80–100 (30.56%), students who scored between 66–79 there were 24 people (66.67 %), students who scored between 56–65 did not exist, students who scored between 46–55 did not exist, students who scored between 00–45, there was 1 person (2.77%). This increase can be seen from the results of the average pretest score of 57.97 and posttest of 73.97. The results of the "t" test show that tcount > ttable or 4.29 > 2.03 at a significance level of 5%. This shows that the CTL strategy is effectively used in learning to write narrative paragraphs on the abilities of class VII students of SMP Negeri 32 OKU. Then the researcher made several suggestions, namely that teachers should be able to carry out learning Indonesian language and literature, especially material for writing narrative paragraphs using the CTL strategy and students should be able to improve their skills in learning to write narrative paragraphs by absorbing as much relevant information as possible from various sources.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the functions and types of speech acts in the editorial in the March 2021 issue of Kompas. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this research is editorial discourse in the March 2021 edition of the daily newspaper. The object of this research is the function of speech, and the types of speech that support speech acts in editorial discourse. The data obtained by listening method, reading and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed using pragmatic and distribution analysis techniques. The main instrument of this research is the human instrument, which is self-research. The results of this study are the functions of speech acts found in the editorials of the March 2021 edition of the Kompas newspaper which consist of declarative, representative, expressive, directive, and commissive. The discourse in the editorial has the same characteristics as the news text. Both are used to convey criticism or opinions on policies, public services, and so on by using opinions or satirical sentences.

Abstract

Analysis of the value of character education in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda by Salsyabila Falensia can be used in learning literature at school, related to the values ​​in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda. The purpose of this study was to describe the values ​​of character education in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda and to describe the values ​​of character education in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda towards literature learning in high school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This study uses two sources of data, namely primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques use documentation by searching for data in the form of notes, books, ledgers, and so on. This data analysis technique uses several steps, namely classifying character education values, making in-depth descriptions of character education values, interpreting the analysis results, and making conclusions. As for the values ​​of character education contained in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda, namely religious values, honest values, responsible values, friendly values, and discipline values. It is hoped that this Novel of Santri Pilihan Bunda will add insight to readers and teachers as an additional reference for teaching the value of character education contained in the novel Santri Pilihan Bunda.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the most dominant figure of speech and figure of speech contained in the Close the Door podcast on Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The techniques used in collecting data are transcription techniques, listening techniques, and note-taking techniques. Data were analyzed by collecting data, identifying the figure of speech in the conversational speech in the close the door video podcast on Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel, classifying, interpreting, and describing the figure of speech contained in the close the door video podcast on Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel. Abstract

This research aims to (1) find out the level of reading habits of class XI students at SMK Negeri 7 Palembang, (2) find out the level of ability to write reviews of class with the ability to write reviews for class XI students at SMK Negeri 7 Palembang. This research uses the correlation method. The population of this study was 385 class XI students at SMK Negeri 7 Palembang. The sample for this research was 30 students consisting of 9 men and 21 women. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and description tests. Data analysis used SPSS version 26. The results obtained by students showed that (1) the level of students' reading habits was good with an average of 79. The number of students in the very good category was 3 students (10%), in the good category there were 14 students (47% ), the medium category consists of 10 students (33%), and the poor category consists of 3 students (10%). (2) the level of students' review writing ability is in the "complete" category with an average of 76.3. There were 22 students in the "completed" category (74%) and (8%) students in the "incomplete" category. Based on the data obtained, there is a relationship between reading habits and the ability to write reviews of class So these results fall within the coefficient interval of 0.40−0.599. It can be stated that there is a relationship between reading habits and the ability to write reviews of class XI students at SMK Negeri 7 Palembang, which is in the medium category.

Abstract

This research aims to develop descriptive text teaching materials based on the Android Construct 2 application. Based on analysis data, teaching materials are developed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model in Research and Development research. Teaching materials begin with analysis which includes curriculum analysis, teaching materials, student needs, and teacher interviews. The results of the analysis of student needs show that students have studied and know the basic descriptive text material, but the structure and needs material is material that is still difficult to understand. Based on the results of the analysis, a research design was prepared including curriculum design, materials, and media. Based on the design results, a research development was prepared including the cover of the teaching materials, the introductory part included a menu for getting to know the material, games, and evaluation, learning activity part 1 presented learning using a scientific approach, learning activity 2 presented descriptive text material, and learning activity 3 presented the game menu. Based on the development results, the product was implemented in the form of product confirmation to teachers with the result of getting a tick in the "YES" column in all aspects and confirmation from class VII students at SMP NEGERI 74 Jakarta by getting a "YES" tick for a total of thirty-one out of thirty-two aspects. Based on this, it can be concluded that the product that has been developed is suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media for reading anecdotal texts based on Google Site. Based on analysis data, learning media was developed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model in Research and Development research. Development begins with analysis which includes analysis of the curriculum, teaching materials, student situations and needs, and interviews with Indonesian language teachers. The results of the analysis of the situation and student needs show that the majority of students use textbooks as a learning resource and students also expect interactive learning to help students understand Indonesian language material and also increase interest in learning. Based on the results of the analysis, a Google Site media research design was developed consisting of (1) home page, (2) competency button, (3) material button, (4) forum button, and (5) practice questions button, and (6) references . Based on the design results, a Google Site-based learning media development was prepared. Based on the results of development, the product was implemented in the form of product confirmation to teachers with "very good" results in all aspects and confirmation from class X students with "very good" results in all aspects. Based on this, it can be concluded that the product that has been developed is suitable for use in learning activities.

Abstract

Language acquisition by children begins when the child is 0 years old. When the child has successfully passed the acquisition of the first language, the child will move on to the next stage, namely the acquisition of the second language. Second language acquisition usually begins when a child is 5 years old. This research will examine the acquisition of a second language in a child named Freya who is 5 years old. The aim of this research is to see how Freya acquires a second language which focuses on the morphological level and the syntactic level. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique used is by using the observation technique. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used in this research is the matching method. The results of this research show that at the age of 5 years Freya is going through a period of acquiring a second language. If we look at the data in the form of words and also the results of discussions at the morphological and syntactic levels, Freya is able to use words with affixes and produce sentences but there are still errors in pronunciation and use of affixes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the teaching and learning process of class X SMA Negeri 6 OKU students writing short stories in learning to tell stories in pairs and to explain the ability of class The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques use observation techniques and test techniques. In making short stories using the learning technique of learning to tell stories in pairs. The results of the short story writing test in pair storytelling learning showed that of the 30 samples who got a score of 66 and above, there were 23 people (76.67%), 7 students who got a score of 65 or below (23.33%). Based on these results, it can be concluded that class X.2 students at SMA Negeri 6 OKU are able to write short stories in learning to tell stories in pairs. The advice for teachers is that they should always provide motivation to students, so that students are conditioned and happy to participate in learning. Students should take advantage of the opportunity given by the teacher to ask questions about learning material that is unclear and not yet understood, and increase their vocabulary. For researchers, with this research researchers can find out the abilities of class X.2 students at SMA Negeri 6 OKU. For other researchers, it is hoped that they can conduct research on writing short stories using different media, methods, and techniques in the future.
