Abstract

This study aims to develop Android-based interactive multimedia in Distributor Less Ignition System (DLI) learning to improve student learning outcomes. The research method used is research and development with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The research population included all students of class XI of SMK Muhammadiyah Bligo, with a purposive sampling technique involving two classes totaling 70 students. Data collection instruments include learning outcome tests and student response questionnaires. The results of the media feasibility test showed that the assessment by media experts was 88% and by material experts by 90%, both of which were in the "very feasible" category. The implementation was carried out in two classes, namely the experimental class that uses Android-based interactive multimedia, and the control class that uses conventional methods. The results of the t-test (independent sample t-test) showed a value of sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001 (p < 0.05), which means that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class (mean = 86.7) and the control class (mean = 74.3). Educators' and learners' responses to multimedia use received scores of 92% and 91%, respectively, in the "very feasible" category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Android-based interactive multimedia developed using Lectora Inspire software has proven to be effective and feasible to be used as a learning medium to improve students' learning outcomes on the basic competencies of the DLI ignition system in vocational high schools.

Abstract

Technological developments have given birth to memes as a popular form of communication on social media. In addition to their entertainment function, memes often contain hate speech, insults, slander, and provocation that have the potential to violate the law and are classified as cybercrimes. This study aims to analyze the linguistic structure, meaning, and implied context in digital memes that have the potential to be criminal. The study uses a qualitative method with a forensic linguistic approach and critical discourse analysis. The research objects are memes circulating on social media in the period 2024-2025, selected based on indications of hate speech, defamation, or provocation according to the provisions of the ITE Law and the Criminal Code. The results show that memes often utilize linguistic ambiguity, irony, sarcasm, and metaphors to disguise the intent of insults or hatred that can trigger social conflict and legal consequences. Social cognitive analysis reveals the relationship between discourse structure, ideology, and power relations in digital society. In addition, syntactic-semantic-pragmatic analysis is able to reveal the spectrum of linguistic aggression in the digital space. This research provides a theoretical contribution to the development of forensic linguistics, as well as practical benefits for increasing digital literacy and legal awareness in the cyber era.

Abstract

One of indicator important in evaluation quality something college tall is level graduation students. Graduation rate appropriate time students become a reflection from the quality of the learning process which ultimately also influences accreditation institutions or study program. The purpose of this research is to analyze how to increase student graduation rates and reduce dropout rates through more accurate and effective data-based policy recommendations. There are Lots factor affecting graduation student so that need determined factors significant influence level graduation said. With do analysis to data and predictions graduation students, institutions expected can give appropriate intervention for increase level graduates and identify at-risk students experience late graduation. In research this using the Naïve Bayes method for predict graduation student based on various factors. The data used in study this is the data obtained from students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, HKBP Nommensen University. The results of study this show accuracy 80%, precision 88.24%, and recall 88.24%.

Abstract

Land degradation is a global challenge that threatens ecosystem productivity, food security, and climate resilience. Agroforestry is promoted as a multifunctional and adaptive land restoration approach to degraded landscapes. This study aims to analyze the role of agroforestry in degraded land restoration and its underlying ecological and socio-economic mechanisms. This study uses a systematic literature review with a thematic synthesis approach to reputable scientific articles and policy documents published in the period 2015-2025. The literature was selected based on the criteria of topic relevance, peer-reviewed status, and focus on the ecological and social impacts of agroforestry in the context of land restoration with a total of ±50 primary sources analyzed. The results of the study show three main findings. First, agroforestry consistently improves the quality of degraded land through improving the physical-chemical properties of soils, reducing erosion, and increasing carbon stocks. Second, the integration of agroforestry with Assisted Natural Regeneration (ANR) techniques has proven to be more effective and cost-effective in landscapes that still have natural regeneration potential. Third, the success of agroforestry is largely determined by institutional support, access to financing, and linkages to markets that strengthen the livelihoods of local communities. Based on these findings, this study recommends the integration of agroforestry-ANR in community-based restoration policies as well as the implementation of a long-term monitoring system to assess the sustainability of ecosystem services.

Abstract

Education in the 21st century demands learning processes that foster deep, meaningful understanding. Within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum, deep learning is regarded as an essential approach to support students in developing critical thinking, reflective skills, and the ability to connect scientific concepts to real-life contexts. This study aims to describe teachers’ and students’ perceptions of the implementation of deep learning in physics instruction at SMAN 2 Lembang. A descriptive survey design was employed, integrating both qualitative and quantitative data. The data were collected through questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and instructional documentation. Participants included physics teachers and eleventh-grade students. Data analysis followed the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teachers generally possess a solid understanding of deep learning principles, although various challenges persist in its implementation, such as limited instructional time, laboratory constraints, and students’ readiness for reflective and independent learning activities. Most students perceived that deep learning helped them achieve a deeper understanding of physics concepts, even though some still required guidance in exploratory and reflective tasks. Supporting factors included school policies that encourage innovation and teachers’ motivation to improve instructional practices, while inhibiting factors involved uneven learning facilities and differences in student preparedness. Overall, the study indicates that deep learning has the potential to enhance the quality of physics learning. However, its effective implementation requires continuous support through teacher training, improved instructional resources, and adaptive strategies aligned with the school context.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students' conceptual understanding of environmental issues. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 ninth-grade D students at SMP Negeri 4 Tuban, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was an essay test that measured students' conceptual understanding based on indicators including the ability to remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and generate new ideas. Data were analyzed using the N-gain test to assess changes in students' conceptual understanding. The results showed an increase in the average pre-test and post-test scores of 21.3, with an N-gain value of 0.55, which is considered moderate. This study has limitations because it was only conducted in a pilot class without involving a control class. Therefore, it is recommended that future research use a research design with a control group to increase external validity and broaden the generalizability of the research findings.

Abstract

This study aims to overcome the weaknesses of starch-based bioplastics by utilizing cellulose extracted from rice straw stalks. The increasing amount of conventional plastic waste that is difficult to decompose has created an urgent environmental problem, so that bioplastics have emerged as an environmentally friendly alternative. However, bioplastics from potato starch have low water resistance and less than optimal mechanical properties. Rice straw stalks were chosen because of their abundant availability and high cellulose content (32-47%). The process of making bioplastics was carried out with variations in the composition of potato starch and rice straw stalk cellulose (100%: 0%; 87.5%: 12.5%; 75%: 25%; and 62.5%: 37.5%), with the addition of chitosan (2 g) and glycerol (2 ml) as additives. The characterizations conducted included water absorption test (ASTM D570-98), biodegradation test, tensile strength test (ASTM E8M), percent elongation (ASTM D882-12), and identification of functional groups using FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared). The results showed that the addition of rice straw cellulose had a positive effect on the characteristics of bioplastics. The best water absorption test was obtained in sample C (75% Starch: 25% Cellulose) with a value of 13% which meets the ASTM D570-98 standard. The best biodegradation test was obtained in sample B (87.5% Starch: 12.5% ​​Cellulose) with a value of 62%. The maximum tensile strength value was recorded at 1.23 MPa in sample C, and the maximum percent elongation value was 99.2% in sample D. FTIR analysis confirmed the presence of main functional groups (O-H, C-H, N-H, C-O) which indicated an effective interaction between potato starch, rice straw cellulose, and chitosan. Overall, this composite bioplastic shows optimal potential and characteristics as an environmentally friendly material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form, function, and meaning of satire language style in the Talk Show Tonight Show on NET TV. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive research design. The data sources in this study come from several episodes on the YouTube social media account TonightShowNet. The data analysis used is a stylistic approach that is carried out in detail starting from data identification, data classification, analyzing and interpreting data, and data presentation. The research data were obtained by grouping satire language style in the form of words, phrases, and sentences contained in the Talk Show Tonight Show. The results of the study show that in several episodes of Tonight Show, five forms of satire language style were found, namely irony, cynicism, sarcasm, satire, and inuendo. The functions of satire language style found include social criticism, entertainment, and building closeness. This study also identified two types of meaning contained in satire language style, namely connotative meaning and denotative meaning. Thus, the satirical style of language in "Tonight Show" serves not only as an entertainment element but also as a linguistic means of conveying social criticism implicitly and communicatively.

Abstract

This study discusses the use of natural iron sand in the manufacture of magnetite nanoparticles with oleic acid. The purpose of the study is to produce nano-sized magnetite as an alternative photocatalyst material. Magnetite nanoparticles were synthesized with variations of oleic acid (0.75 ml, 1.5 ml, 2.25 ml, 3 ml) and the addition of 7.5 ml of diethylamine. Synthesis was carried out using XRF to determine the elements contained in the iron sand, SEM to determine the surface morphology, and UV-Vis to determine the size of the bandgap. The results showed that increasing the oleic acid content significantly increased agglomeration due to the large number of particles that merged with each other, while increasing the bandgap value. The results showed that the addition of oleic acid had an effect on the iron sand. The highest XRF test of 88.234% was obtained in the iron sand sample before processing, the lowest SEM test was 0.9 μm, and the highest UV-Vis test was 2.644 eV indicating an increase in the bandgap energy value due to the role of oleic acid as a surfactant. The novelty of this research lies in the use of natural iron sand combined with a fixed proportion of oleic acid (up to 3 ml) and diethylamine (7.5 ml). A good bandgap for the photocatalyst is 2.638 eV which is influenced by the addition of oleic acid as a surfactant. These magnetite nanoparticles show optimal potential and characteristics as photocatalyst materials.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an effective mathematics learning video to improve student learning outcomes in trigonometry material at SMA Negeri 1 Utan. The method used is Research and Development (R&D). In the analysis stage, the results of observations on students showed that 60% of students had low learning outcomes in trigonometry material. In the design stage, the developed learning video focused on the rules of sines and cosines. This video was designed with a structured storyboard and script to facilitate student understanding. The results of video validation by two lecturers of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Mandalika University of Education, showed that the video had good validity, with an average score of 3.69 (74%) from the first validator and 4.46 (89%) from the second validator. In the implementation stage, the video was tested on students of class X IPS 2, and the pre-test results showed an average score of 50, while the post-test after using the learning video showed an increase with an average score of 80. Evaluation of student and teacher responses showed positive results, with an average student response score of 4.2 (agree) and a teacher response score of 4.47 (strongly agree), indicating that the learning videos were effective in improving student learning outcomes. This study concluded that trigonometry-based mathematics learning videos can be used as an effective alternative in online learning to improve student learning outcomes, especially in materials considered difficult.
