Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of co-creation through the dimensions ofdesign (Value Co-design) and service (Value Co-service) on increasing sales volume at UMKMAlsa Lemon in Sukabumi City. The research method employed is quantitative, utilizing linearregression analysis with primary data obtained through customer questionnaires. The resultsindicate that, simultaneously, collaborative product development variables contributesignificantly, accounting for 53.4% of the variation in sales volume. Partially, Value Co-designis proven to have a positive and significant influence (p < 0.05), making it the dominant factorin attracting purchasing interest through consumer involvement in designing physical productattributes. Meanwhile, Value Co-service acts as a supporting factor in maintaining customerloyalty through service interaction. This study also identifies an external factor of 46.6%, whichincludes pricing policies and distribution reach as operational supporting infrastructure. Theresearch concludes that the synergy between participatory product innovation andconventional marketing management is a key strategy in boosting the sales performance ofagribusiness MSMEs sustainably in the local market.

Abstract

Sago is more than just a crop; it is a strategic asset for food security and a versatile industrial raw material. However, its true economic potential lies in agro-industrial transformation. This study examines how sago processing adds value and supports local livelihoods in North Luwu and Palopo, South Sulawesi. By combining the Hayami method for value-added analysis with partial budgeting and SWOT frameworks, we assessed the profitability of different processing stages and identified a path forward for the industry. Our findings reveal a sharp divide in economic outcomes. While wet and dry processing generate high value-added margins (over 40%), the milling stage remains below 15%. Interestingly, milling is actually the most efficient profit-maker, yielding a rate of 85.71%—far higher than drying or wet processing. This profitability extends to the people on the ground; with an R/C ratio of 1.6, sago processing is a highly viable business. However, a significant income gap persists, with loggers and processors earning roughly 25% more than the landowners who provide the raw material. To move the industry forward, the focus must shift toward farmer-led corporations and better land mapping. By establishing regional sago institutions and investing in infrastructure and human capital, South Sulawesi can move beyond basic milling into high-value derivative industries. These steps are essential to turning sago from a traditional staple into a modern industrial engine for the region.

Abstract

Mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) is an important legume crop that plays a strategic role as a source of plant-based protein, a functional food ingredient, and an adaptive crop widely cultivated in various tropical and subtropical regions. Mung bean are a legume crop with high agronomic potential, mung bean productivity still faces several challenges, particularly due to climate change and rainfall patterns. These environmental changes can reduce water availability in agricultural lands and increase the risk of drought stress. Low water availability is one of the primary limiting factors in mung bean cultivation because it impedes overall plant performance, such as growth, phenological development, and physiological functions. Water deficit can disrupt plant biological processes through reduced tissue water status, impaired nutrient uptake and distribution, decreased metabolic activity, and increased oxidative stress, which eventually leads to reduced productivity. Under drought stress conditions, potassium (K) plays a crucial role as an essential nutrient that helps improve plant tolerance to water limitations. Potassium contributes to maintaining osmotic balance, improve water use efficiency, support physiological stability, and strengthening plant adaptation mechanisms against drought stress. Therefore, proper potassium management can be a potential strategy to improve mungbean resilience and maintain plant performance under low water availability conditions.

Abstract

Soil water content is a critical parameter for plants that influence nutrient absorption, plant growth, and plant metabolism. In tea (Camellia sinensis), soil water content must be monitored regularly. This study aims to develop a rapid and spatially approach to detect soil water content using Agriradar technology. The agriradar technology integrates radar sensing and multispectral imaging in the aerial vehicle (UAV) to generate spatial data across plantation areas. This device is able to detect soil water content so that spatial-based data is obtained from the area passed by the drone. Experiments were carried out by taking a case studies on tea plantations. This research was conducted from January-May 2025 in tea plantations located in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that soil water levels ranged from 22% to 25%, which is below the optimal limit of 30% required for optimal tea growth. Furthermore, soil water content below 10% are associated with inhibited shoot development and increased risk of plant mortality. The integration of Agriradar technology into precision agriculture practices can support cultivation management and improve fresh yield of the tea plantation.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of various organic fertilizers in increasing the yields of local sweet potato varieties in the acidic drylands of North Sumatra. The experiment was conducted using a systematic tillage method with 100 cm x 25 cm plant spacing. Organic fertilizers were applied at a dose of 5 t ha-1, supplemented with inorganic fertilizers (200 kg NPK and 150 kg Urea). Maintenance included three rounds of weeding, hilling, and vine turning, with harvesting conducted 3.5 months after planting. Farming analysis results revealed that goat manure (O1) yielded the highest average of 25,733 kg/ha, generating an income of IDR 60,372,000 ha-1 with a B/C ratio of 1.42. Rice husk compost (O2) followed with 24,821 kg ha-1 (B/C ratio 1.46), while oil palm empty fruit bunches (O3) and the control group without organic fertilizer (O4) produced lower yields of 16,487 kg ha-1 and 14,906 kg ha-1, respectively. Among the tested varieties, V3 achieved the highest average yield (20,740 kg ha1) compared to V2 (20,685 kg ha-1) and V1 (20,191 kg ha-1). The study concludes that the application of goat manure and rice husk compost significantly enhances sweet potato productivity in acidic drylands, increasing farmers' income by up to 91.27%. Furthermore, these organic amendments are recommended to improve soil structure in compacted acidic dryland areas.

Abstract

Genetic diversity, heritability, and trait relationships are essential parameters for identifying selection criteria and improving maize productivity across diverse growing environments. This study aimed to evaluate genetic diversity, broad-sense heritability, and correlations among agronomic and yield-related traits of hybrid maize cultivated under two contrasting topologies. Field experiments were conducted using hybrid maize genotypes, and data were analyzed through variance component estimation, heritability analysis, and Pearson correlation coefficients. The results showed that phenotypic variance was generally greater than genotypic variance for most traits, indicating a considerable contribution of environmental factors to trait expression. High heritability values were observed for ear height, leaf width, number of kernels per ear, ear length, ear diameter, and shelling percentage, whereas leaf length, moisture content, kernel row number, and thousand-kernel weight exhibited moderate heritability. All observed traits displayed narrow genetic variability, suggesting limited genetic divergence among the evaluated hybrids. Grain yield was positively associated with fresh ear weight, ear length, ear diameter, number of kernels per ear, leaf length, and stem diameter, while flowering time and several vegetative traits tended to show negative associations with yield. Fresh ear weight showed the strongest relationship with grain yield, indicating its importance as a yield-related trait. These findings demonstrate that ear-related characters can be used as reliable indirect selection criteria for yield improvement in hybrid maize.

Abstract

Tea (Camellia sinensis var. assamica) is a vital commodity in Indonesia as a raw material for the beverage industry, making early-stage clone screening essential. This study aimed to investigate the stability of growth components and characterize the morphological phenotypic performance of selected tea clones during the vegetative phase. Conducted at the Malabar (West Java) and Semugih (Central Java) plantations from December 2025 to April 2026, the experiment utilized a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 16 treatments (15 candidate clones and one check clone, GMB 7) in three replications. Data were analysed using combined ANOVA, Tukey's HSD test (α=5%), and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Results revealed significant genotype-by-environment (GxE) interactions for plant height and stem diameter at 3 months after planting (MAP), with variations predominantly driven by environmental factors. Clone II.13.2 was significantly shorter than GMB 7 at 3 MAP, while the stem diameters of clones TPS 93/3, TPS 87/2, II.32.15, TPS 87/1, II.6.10, and III.22.15 showed no significant difference compared to the check. Dendrogram analysis placed GMB 7 in a distinct cluster, indicating the candidate clones possess unique vegetative characteristics. Vegetative phase useful for early selection and these potential clones warrant further evaluation for future variety release.

Abstract

Potato plantlets produced through tissue culture require an acclimatization phase before transfer to field conditions. Natural biostimulants are expected to enhance plantlet adaptation and growth during this critical stage. This study evaluated the effects of biostimulant type and concentration on the acclimatization of Cipanas potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) plantlets. The experiment was arranged in a split-plot design with three replications. The main plot factor was biostimulant type, consisting of coconut water and aloe vera extract, while the subplot factor was biostimulant concentration (0%, 5%, 15%, and 25%). The observed variables included plant height increase, leaf number, and root number. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level when significant effects were detected. The results showed that biostimulant type, concentration, and their interaction had no significant effect on plant height increase and leaf number during acclimatization. Plant height increase ranged from 0.69 to 2.16 cm, while leaf number ranged from 1.22 to 1.78 leaves plant⁻¹ at 5 weeks after acclimatization (WAA). Root number was the only parameter significantly affected by biostimulant concentration. The control treatment (0%) and 25% concentration produced the highest root numbers, with mean values of 1.56 and 1.16 roots plant⁻¹, respectively, and did not differ significantly according to DMRT. These findings indicate that acclimatization success was primarily influenced by plantlet adaptation to ex vitro conditions, whereas biostimulant concentration contributed mainly to root development.

Abstract

Identification of capacity of linearity and extensibility of clay, soil acidicity and texture of agricultural soils is very important because these properties are related to the estimation of soil fertility potential. This study aims to know the distribution of values of COLE, soil acidicity and texture in Ultisols and Inceptisols from Siborong-Borong district, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research was conducted by using descriptive quantitative method and soil sampling are taken by random sampling technique at 0 - 20 cm and 20 - 40 cm dept (32 samples). Parameters were analyzed consist of soil COLE value, soil acidicity and texture. The results of the analysis of Ultisol and Inceptisol soil at a depth of 20 and 40 cm show that the COLE value is classified as low to medium, ranging from 0.02 to 0.06. Soil texture are loam, sandy loam and clayey sand with a clay content of < 15%. The soil pH (acidity) value is 4.75-5.91 with the criteria of acidic and slightly acidic.

Abstract

National resilience is a strategy to mobilize and optimize all national resources through the management of space, time, and situations to achieve national objectives based on the ideology and constitution of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. In the concept of national resilience developed by Lemhannas, agriculture occupies a strategic position as a key parameter in the economic aspect of Astagatra. This study aims to analyze the role of the agricultural sector in strengthening national resilience and improving the socioeconomic conditions of the community. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review and conceptual analysis by examining the interrelationships between agriculture, food security, economic development, and national resilience. The results of the study indicate that the agricultural sector makes a significant contribution to national development through food provision, labor absorption, foreign exchange earnings, increased income for rural communities, poverty reduction, the supply of industrial raw materials, and the strengthening of linkages among economic sectors. Furthermore, agriculture plays a vital role in maintaining food security, price stability, and inflation control; supporting the development of agroindustry; and driving economic growth. These contributions create a multiplier effect that strengthens economic stability, social welfare, and national competitiveness. Agriculture is viewed not only as a production sector but as a multidimensional strategic system capable of driving the economy, maintaining social stability, supporting industrialization, and underpinning national resilience. Strengthening the agricultural sector through sustainable development, technological innovation, and increased productivity is a key factor in supporting Indonesia’s national resilience and future socioeconomic development.
