KABASTRA adalah sebuah jurnal double blind peer-review yang didedikasikan untuk memublikasikan hasil penelitian di bidang bahasa dan sastra. Semua publikasi dalam jurnal KABASTRA bersifat akses terbuka yang memungkinkan artikel tersedia secara bebas online. Pada awal didirikannya, KABASTRA dikelola dan diterbitkan oleh UPT Bahasa Universitas Tidar, lalu selanjutnya melakukan kerja sama dengan HISKI Kedu untuk membantu para dosen, akademisi, praktisi, peneliti, guru, dan masyarakat umum dalam menyebarkan hasil penelitiannya. Jurnal KABASTRA terbit 2 kali dalam satu tahun, yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember. Abstract

Research on children's literature is still rare because children's literature is not given enough attention. Whereas through children's literature it can increase children's imagination which affects the development of children's abilities. The purpose of this study is to analyze five poems by elementary school children using Roman Ingarden's norm strata approach. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with text analysis. The data source is the poetry collection book "Karya Cipta Puisi Anak" by students of SDN Banyudono 2. The results show that although children's poetry is simple, it still has various layers or norm strata that can be explored. Many children's poems use regular rhymes and themes of residence, natural beauty, or family. The objects used in the poems are also close to children so that the phenomena created are also about life in a child's perspective. Some children's poems can also be further researched for their meaning.

Abstract

Humanistic Psychology is a scientific approach theory that focuses on problems of individual human behavior. Based on this, this research focuses on the study of humanistic psychology in the novel 7 Wings of Pendosa by Jienara. This research focuses on several needs found according to Abraham Maslow's humanistic psychology studies. The aim of this research is to determine the personality of each character in the novel 7 Wings of Pendosa by Jienara based on the humanistic psychology study of Abraham Maslow. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the analysis are based on Abraham Maslow's humanistic psychological theory which includes five aspects of character needs, namely: (1) Physiological needs, (2) Safety needs, (3) Love and belonging needs, (4) Self-esteem needs, and (5) The need for self-actualization is fulfilled in the character's personality.

Abstract

This research aims to describe (1) the results of writing developing a saga into a short story for class X SMA Batik 2 Surakarta, (2) factors that become obstacles to writing to develop a saga into a short story for class X SMA Batik 2 Surakarta, and (3) a solution to overcome writing obstacles to develop a saga into a short story for class X SMA Batik 2 Surakarta. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques use interview and documentation techniques. Data validity using source triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis technique. The results of this research show that: (1) The results of writing short stories from 39 students obtained the highest student score of 91, the lowest score of 75, with an average student score of 83. Assessment of several assessment aspects, namely theme, grammar, punctuation and neatness of writing, character/characterization, plot, and mandate. Based on the assessment aspect, 209 data were found and the most errors occurred in the grammatical aspect. Uniquely, no errors were found in the plot and message aspects so that students were able to create the plot and message in the story. (2) factors that become obstacles in students' writing are lack of writing practice, lack of feedback on student assignments, students when writing stories pay less attention to their writing, lack of understanding regarding the material, the Indonesian language learning methods used by teachers are less varied, lack of ideas from students in developing the storyline, lack of understanding of the contents of the saga, and lack of time to complete assignments. (3) solutions to overcome student obstacles, namely increasing the frequency of writing practice, applying feedback techniques to assignments appropriately, providing examples of good and correct use of Indonesian in learning, providing additional discussions outside of learning, using more varied learning methods, increasing frequency of reading and exploration, and providing additional hours related to writing assignments.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Sprite advertisements with advertising phenomena that have perlocutionary speech acts in the narrator's speech. Sprite advertisements are widely aired on television, Sprite advertisements in the hashtag #nyatanyanyegerin there are perlocutionary speech acts. Sprite ads with these hashtags can be accessed via Youtube. The research aims to describe the form and function of perlocutionary speech acts in Sprite advertisements. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The method used is listening method and note taking technique. This research uses commensurate method and PUP technique to analyze the data. The findings of this study are the form and function of perlocutionary speech acts in the speech of the narrator of Sprite advertisements. The results of the analysis of the form of perlocutionary speech acts in Sprite advertisements consist of: The functions of perlocutionary speech acts in Sprite advertisements include: representative speech acts of recognition, directive speech acts of suggestion, directive speech acts of invitation, directive speech acts of request, expressive speech acts of innuendo, and commissive speech acts of offer.

Abstract

Cohesion is an important aspect in creating cohesiveness in a discourse, including editorial discourse. In Kompas.id's editorials, there are also many signs of cohesion. This indicates that the discourse is a coherent and complete discourse. The aim of this research is to describe the grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion used in the editorials on the November 2023 edition of the Kompas.id news page. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques use listening methods and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique uses the agih method with basic techniques for direct elements (BUL) and advanced techniques for reading marks, replacement techniques, and expansion techniques. The results of this research show that in the editorials on the November 2023 edition of the Kompas.id news page, grammatical cohesion was found in the form of references, substitutions, eliminations, conjunctions and lexical cohesion in the form of repetition, synonymy, antonymy, collocation, hyponymy and equivalence. The results of this research can also be implemented as linguistic teaching material for class XII high school editorial texts.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Social Problems in Indonesian Society Raised in the Novel Ayah dan Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata." The formulation of the research problem is what social problems in Indonesia are represented in the Novel Ayah dan Sirkus Pohon. This research aims to describe and analyze the social problems that exist in Indonesian society, as described in the novel. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a literary of sociology and social problem theory. The data collection techniques used were note-taking and a literature study. The results of this research revealed several social problems found in Indonesian society that were touched upon in the novel, such as divorce, educational problems, and poverty.

Abstract

This study aims to see the tendency of naming coffee shops in Magelang region connected with language loyalty. The researcher observed variations in language selection of words or phrases used for naming cafes. The researcher used qualitative description method to examine each word in the cafe naming. The results showed that English still dominates the naming of coffee shops. The results of the study in relation to Indonesian language loyalty show that the naming of coffee shops in Magelang does not show the country's language loyalty because the use of Indonesian is rarely found.

Abstract

This study focuses on the factors of language acquisition in children aged 2-4 years. This age was chosen because it is a critical period where children actively absorb language and often make mistakes in its use. This study uses a descriptive approach by collecting data through direct interviews with the child's parents. The data obtained were then transcribed, analyzed, and presented in the form of a written report. The factors that influence children's ability to learn a language are very diverse. Early age is the golden period for learning a language, where the child's brain is very responsive to language input. The surrounding environment, especially family and peers, has a big influence because children tend to imitate the language they hear every day. In addition, the first language mastered by the child also plays an important role in the subsequent language learning process. Strong motivation is also the key to success in learning a new language. All of these factors are interrelated and work together to shape children's language skills. The process of learning a language is natural and normal, and children's language skills will continue to develop with age and experience.

Abstract

This research analyzes the language style contained in the lyrics of the song Dialog Hati popularized by Nadzira Shafa. This song was chosen because the lyrics are deep and rich in distinctive language styles, which have not been studied much in previous studies. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques to explore the meaning and richness of language styles in the song lyrics. The research data is obtained through the text study method, by identifying and classifying the types of language styles found in the lyrics of the song Dialog Hati. This research refers to Keraf's theory of stylistics which distinguishes stylistics based on its type and function, including rhetorical majas and figurative majas. By using the read-and-record technique, the author analyzes the entire song lyrics and records all the stylistic forms that appear. The results show that in this song there are quite a variety of language styles used to describe feelings and inner conflicts in human relationships. The language style not only enriches the meaning of the lyrics, but also creates a deep emotional atmosphere for the listeners.

Abstract

Song lyrics have various meanings, one of which is the outpouring of a lyricist which is expressed in written words and can influence the emotions and feelings of song listeners. This study aims to describe the grammatical and lexical aspects of the lyrics of the song Membasuh by Hindia using semantic studies. The research method applied in this study is a qualitative descriptive method that produces descriptive data in the form of words. The data obtained came from the lyrics of the song entitled Membasuh by Hindia. This study focused on the grammatical and lexical aspects of the lyrics of the song Membasuh by Hindia. The data collection method in this study was carried out using the documentation and note-taking method. This study found that in the lyrics of the song Membasuh by Hindia there are grammatical aspects consisting of reference, ellipsis, and conjunction. While the lexical aspects found consist of repetition, synonyms, and antonyms.
