Abstract

Padang City Supermarket Phase VII is one of the traditional trading centers that has been revitalized to improve attractiveness, comfort, and service quality for visitors. However, low visitor numbers remain a challenge, so it is important to analyze locational factors, service quality, and promotional strategies and their influence on visitor interest. This study aims to examine the influence of location and service quality on visitor interest, with promotional strategies as intervening variables. The research used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 30 respondents who visited Phase VII Supermarket. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The study results show that service quality has a significant effect on visitor interest, while location has no direct effect. In addition, promotional strategies were shown to act as a mediating variable in the relationship between location and visitor interest, although they are not effective in mediating the influence of service quality. These findings confirm that improving service quality and implementing appropriate promotional strategies can strengthen visitor interest, while also providing input for market managers and local governments in formulating more effective market development policies. In conclusion, the success of traditional market revitalization depends not only on physical development but also on service quality and promotional strategies that can create a positive shopping experience for visitors.

Abstract

Pytixs faces the challenge of defining and developing their online ticketing web application based on monolithic infrastructure and hosted on VPS (Virtual Private Server). This monolithic structure causes difficulties in scalability, maintenance, and the development of efficient new features. Therefore, migration to the microservices architecture hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services) is considered a solution that can improve system performance, scalability, and flexibility. The study aims to evaluate and implement the transformation of Pytixs online ticketing web applications from a monolithic VPS-hosted infrastructure to a microservices architecture hosted on AWS. The migration process involves dismantling a monolithic service into several small, independent services, which communicate through the RESTful API. In addition, AWS provides a range of services that support microservices, such as Amazon ECS, Amazon Lambda, and Amazon RDS, which help in improving efficiency and infrastructure management. The results of this study show that migration to the microservices architecture hosted on AWS provides significant improvements in terms of system scalability and performance. In addition, application development and maintenance time is drastically reduced, allowing the development team to respond to business needs faster and more efficiently. This Pytixs case study provides practical guidance and insight to other companies facing similar challenges in upgrading their web applications.

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of beetroot extract on total cholesterol levels and kidney histopathology in alloxan-induced diabetic white rats (Rattus norvegicus). Methods: This experimental study used a post-test only control group design with 24 male rats divided into six groups: normal, negative control (alloxan + aquadest), positive control (alloxan + metformin), and three treatment groups receiving beetroot extract at doses of 22.5 mg/200 gBW, 45 mg/200 gBW, and 90 mg/200 gBW. Total cholesterol levels were measured before and after treatment, while kidney tissues were examined histopathologically using HE staining and damage scoring (0–3). Data analysis included Shapiro-Wilk, Kruskal-Wallis, and Spearman’s correlation tests. Results: Most groups showed an increase in cholesterol levels after treatment, except treatment group 2 (45 mg/200 gBW), which demonstrated a decrease from 96.40 mg/dL to 84.40 mg/dL. Kruskal-Wallis test revealed no statistically significant differences among groups (p = 0.306). Histopathological findings indicated that treatment group 2 exhibited lower kidney damage scores compared to the negative control, suggesting a protective effect. Spearman’s correlation analysis showed no significant relationship between day-14 blood glucose levels and total cholesterol (r = –0.130; p = 0.492). Conclusion: Beetroot extract at a dose of 45 mg/200 gBW demonstrated potential in lowering total cholesterol levels and providing nephroprotective effects, although the results were not statistically significant. These findings support the potential role of beetroot as an adjuvant therapy in diabetes mellitus with dyslipidemia and kidney complications.

Abstract

Securing State Property (BMN), especially land and buildings in the infrastructure sector, is an important element in ensuring the optimization of the use of state assets. In the context of increasingly complex and dynamic asset management, the challenges faced include the risk of loss, damage, and misuse of assets that can interfere with the function and value of these assets. Therefore, the development of effective and adaptive security strategies is very important. This strategy must be able to accommodate the rapid development of digital technology and the need for innovative policies to support transparent and accountable asset governance. This research aims to design and examine BMN security strategies, especially in land and building assets in the infrastructure sector, with a focus on the comprehensive integration of digital information systems. The approach used is qualitative, involving in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation and analyzed using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method. The results of the study identified three main pillars of strengthening BMN security, namely: the application of information technology, policy strengthening, and increasing the capacity of human resources (HR). Information technology plays a crucial role in digitizing asset data, geospatial mapping, and managing legal documents electronically. Strengthening policies is needed to adapt regulations to the dynamics of digitalization, simplifying procedures, and strengthening legal supervision. Meanwhile, increasing the capacity of human resources requires mastery of information technology, data security, and data analysis skills.

Abstract

This study analyzes the development of tourism village potential through the perspective of reinventing government in Kesiman Kertalangu Village, East Denpasar District, Denpasar City. The research aims to determine the application of the principles of reinventing government in the development of tourism villages and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques, observations, and documentation studies. The research informants include the Village Head, Village Secretary, BUMDES managers, and the community. The results of the study show that of the 10 principles of reinventing government, 9 principles have been well implemented, namely catalytic government, community-owned, competitive, results-oriented, customer-oriented, entrepreneurial, anticipatory, decentralized, and market-oriented. One principle that is not optimal is mission-oriented government because the budget system is still bound by the bureaucracy of the APBDes. Supporting factors include unique natural potential, strong leadership, and village government support. The inhibiting factors are the limitation of professional human resources, budget dependence on village funds, and lack of private investment. This tourist village has succeeded in increasing the village's PAD and creating jobs for the local community.

Abstract

Legal uncertainty in the implementation of tax policy poses a serious challenge to efforts aimed at improving compliance and the legitimacy of the tax system. One key issue arises in the application of administrative sanctions as stipulated in Article 13 paragraph (3) of the General Tax Provisions and Procedures Law (UU KUP), particularly in the context of corrections to overpaid Value Added Tax (VAT) compensation. This article presents a literature review to analyse how these administrative sanction policies are interpreted and applied, as well as their implications for the principle of legal certainty. Through a review of selected scholarly sources, this article finds that multiple interpretations of legal norms trigger recurring tax disputes, create litigation burdens, and erode taxpayer trust in the tax administration system. The evaluation shows that the automatic imposition of surcharge sanctions on corrections of overpaid VAT compensation, without actual fiscal loss, is often viewed as disproportionate. This article recommends the importance of regulatory harmonization, improved clarity of legal norms, and the adjustment of audit guidelines to align with the principle of legal certainty, in order to support a fairer and more effective tax governance.
