Abstract

In the field of goods production, demand prediction is important. By doing sales predictions, companies can make calculations and forecasts for what raw materials are mostly ordered. J48 and Naïve Bayes algorithm are two popular machine learning technique. By using these two algorithms, this study aims to develop an accurate and more reliable predictive model that help the company to make data driven decision. This study focuses on the application of quantitative methods, specifically the J48 algorithm and Naïve Bayes algorithm. This research conducted 4 times testing on each algorithm. This study produces high accuracy values with the Naïve Bayes and J48 algorithms. Both algorithm results have a fairly high accuracy value of 94% for Naïve Bayes and 98% for J48. The findings of this study implicate that by using J48 and Naïve Bayes algorithm, company can make informed decisions lead to improved operational efficiency, cost-effective, and resource utilization.

Abstract

Particularly in light of the COVID-19 epidemic, technology is a catalyst for changing teaching and learning, not just a tool for providing information. This essay aims to examine the three ways that personalization, relevance, and skill development might affect the teaching profession. This research is a qualitative research and library research. The capacity of educators to adapt learning experiences to the needs, interests, and preferences of each student is referred to as personalization. By giving users access to data, material, and the cloud, technology may enable personalization and allow teachers to track student progress, differentiate their lessons, and give feedback. Technology can enable students to take control of their education and choose their own speed and direction. Relevance is the relationship between what students are learning and their personal objectives, ambitions, and aspirations. By establishing blended learning settings that include online and offline activities, real-world challenges, and realistic assignments, technology may increase relevance. Students may engage with classmates and professionals, access materials outside of the classroom, and apply what they have learned in many circumstances with the use of technology. The development of students' skills includes preparing them for the workforce and culture of the twenty-first century. By introducing kids to contemporary technology tools and abilities including coding, programming, physical computing, and computational thinking, technology may promote skill development. Through maker education and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) education, technology can also encourage students to develop their problem-solving, critical thinking, collaborative, and creative skills.

Abstract

The folklore of the genealogical origin of an ethnicity is a very popular cultural treasure for the Gayo, Nias, and Batak Toba ethnic communities, especially those related to genealogy. The original characters of the ethnic community are depicted falling from a high place (heaven) to a low place (bumi). The events of the story characters coming down from the sky make the figure genetic, and the region has a very important power value in its supportive ethnic society. Folklore stories of the genealogical origins of these three ethnicities will be analysed through the meaning patterns that are the guidelines of life for the ethnic community. Given the folklore of the genealogical origins of the three ethnic groups, they are closely linked to the system of power in ethnic societies. The study aims to explore how meaning patterns are operated in order to safeguard, maintain, and stabilise the power of individuals as well as ethnic groups. As for the research methods used in this research, they use archaeological, anthropological, ethno-archaeological, and sociological approaches. The results achieved in the folklore study of ethnic genealogical origin depict the system of power in the cultures of the ethnic communities Batak Toba, Nias, and Gayo.

Abstract

The Cikapundung River which crosses the city of Bandung is widely used for various purposes including as a drainage, tourist attraction and raw material for drinking water. In fact, the Cikapundung River is inseparable from environmental pollution, both from domestic waste around the river flow and industrial waste which ultimately has an impact on decreasing water quality. This research aims to to get an overview of the water quality condi-tions of the Cikapundung river which were assessed using Index IKA-INA method. To see how big the impact is on water quality in the Cikapundung River, a water quality index is used, which is a method for assessing the condition of a body of water based on selected parameters. Sampling was carried out at 3 sites during the dry and rainy seasons. Then the water quality criteria are determined using the National Sanitation's Foundation (NSF-WQI) method which has been modified to become the IKA-INA method and Pollution Index (IP) based on Minister of Environment Regulation No. 115 of 2003 concerning guidelines for determining water quality status. The results of the analysis using the IKA-INA method, the water quality of the Cikapundung River is generally in the "moderate" category, only one site is included in the "good enough" category, while the determination of water quality status using the Pollution Index method is included in the "fair" category. Moderately Polluted” for all sites both during the dry and rainy seasons with IP values ranging from 1.36 to 4.38.
