Abstract

The research aims to analyze the operational impact of the Trans Java toll road on the quality of the environment in districts/cities on the island of Java during 2012–2024. Three environmental indicators are the Air Quality Index (IKU), the Environmental Quality Index (IKLH), and carbon emissions. The method used is Difference-in-Differences with Two-Way Fixed Effects regression and Dynamic Analysis. Nationally, the operational impact of toll roads does not show significant effects on KPIs, IKLH, or carbon emissions, indicating that environmental impacts are contextual. Spatial analysis revealed a significant decline in air quality in Central Java, the main corridor of the Trans Java network, consistent with the theory of network centrality in which high-traffic areas bear greater environmental externalities. Topographic characteristics, such as basins and valleys, exacerbate environmental vulnerability by limiting the spread of pollutants. These findings emphasize the need for the government to consider spatial heterogeneity and topographic variables in the construction of toll roads. This research opens up opportunities for further studies on the environmental impact of toll roads over a longer period of time and a more detailed approach.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has driven the emergence of cryptocurrency as a new investment instrument that promises high accessibility and potential returns. However, this development also creates legal risks for consumers, particularly when transactions are carried out through illegal platforms that operate outside government supervision. This study aims to examine the legal reasoning used by judges in determining unlawful acts in illegal cryptocurrency transactions and to assess the effectiveness of civil legal protection for consumers. The research employs a normative juridical method using statutory, case, and conceptual approaches. The results indicate that the application of consumer protection principles and the construction of civil liability provide legal certainty for victims, despite the limited regulatory framework governing crypto assets in Indonesia. The novelty of this study lies in the application of the Digital Consumer Vulnerability Theory (DCVT) as an analytical framework to identify digital consumer vulnerabilities arising from information asymmetry, technological opacity, regulatory vacuum, and psychological manipulation in crypto investment schemes. This research highlights the need for a more adaptive and comprehensive legal approach to ensure consumer protection in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of cold compress on reducing edema in patients post facial filler procedures at Aesthetic Lounge Clinic. Edema is a common side effect following filler procedures, which can affect the patient's appearance. This research employed a pre-experimental design using the one group pretest-posttest method. Seventy patients who experienced edema after filler procedures were given a cold compress intervention for 10-15 minutes. The results showed that cold compress significantly reduced edema, both in scale and size. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test yielded a p-value < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the edema conditions before and after the intervention. The findings conclude that cold compress is an effective non-invasive intervention for reducing post-filler edema, with additional benefits of easy application and low cost.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Political Marketing Mix on Electronic Word-of-Mouth (E-WoM) and Voting Decision, as well as the mediating role of E-WoM in the 2024 Regional Head Election of Karawang Regency. The research adopts a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4.1.1.4. Data were collected from 200 respondents who participated in the 2024 Karawang local election through an online questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. The findings indicate that most elements of the political marketing mix product, price, place, promotion, people, and process have a positive and significant effect on E-WoM, while physical evidence does not show a significant influence. Furthermore, all elements of the political marketing mix positively and significantly affect voting decision. E-WoM is proven to have a direct positive effect on voting decision and serves as a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship between most political marketing mix elements and voting decision, except for physical evidence. These results demonstrate that voter behavior is shaped by a complex interaction of rational, emotional, and social factors, and highlight the strategic importance of digital communication and peer-to-peer information sharing in modern political campaigns. The study contributes theoretically to the development of political marketing literature in local democratic contexts and provides practical insights for political actors in designing more effective and participatory campaign strategies in the digital era.
