Abstract

In nursing services for early childhood hospitalized patients, nurses' empathetic attitudes cannot be implemented optimally. Empathy is a knowledge and skill that can be improved through education and training programs. Although there are many empathy training programs in nursing, there is no training programs specifically designed to increase nurses' empathy towards early childhood patients. This thesis is a research on an intervention program in the form of the "I Love and Understand You" training program which aims to increase nurses' empathy towards young children who are being treated in hospital. This research is a quantitative research with a one group difference test design before and after intervention or one group pretest post-test design. There were 18 participants in this study. Based on the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, the research results showed a significant increase in nurses' empathy towards early childhood before and after the intervention program was implemented (p-value < 0.001, p < 0.05). Based on the Friedman test, the research results also showed that nurses' empathy for early childhood remained significantly different two weeks after the intervention program was implemented (p-value 0.001, p < 0.05). This proves that the "I Love and Understand You" training program increases nurses' empathy for young children who are being treated in hospital.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence in the field of health encourages the use of electronic medical records in all health facilities to record health services provided to patients. For hospitals, extracting information from electronic medical records can make it easier for management to make clinical decisions and for researchers to obtain data for research in the medical and nursing fields. The research builds a model of named entity recognition in electronic medical records based on hybrid neural networks, bidirectional encoder representations from transformers, and setting hyperparameters to get the highest accuracy. The research data set is processed from an initial examination form of an adult patient in a hospital onto an electronic medical record in 2022, and the data is pre-processed. Next, perform the entity-tagging phase on the text and divide 70% of the training datasets by 30% of the testing datasets. Training and evaluation of models built using the confusion matrix method. The results of this study show that the entity identification model called bidirectional encoder representations from transformers consistently outperforms the neural network-based entity recognition model in any evaluation metric. The abbreviation of the bi-directional encoder representation of transformer has very high precision, recall, and f1-score values, demonstrating its ability to recognise entities very well. In this study, although the model named Entity Recognition based on neural networks also has high accuracy, the low precision and recall values indicate that this model may have difficulty recognising entities accurately.

Abstract

Mucormycosis is a fungal infection caused by the order Mucorales from the class Zygomycetes. Among the genera within the order Mucorales, Rhizopus sp. is the genus most frequently causing infections. Mucorales fungi enter the human body in three ways: through inhalation of airborne spores, through broken skin, and through ingestion of contaminated food. Within the human body, the process is angioinvasive, leading to thrombosis and resulting in tissue necrosis. Currently, establishing a diagnosis is crucial for determining the patient’s prognosis, as it can reduce morbidity and mortality. The current diagnostic modes include direct examination, culture, histopathology, and molecular identification. Each of these methods has its advantages and disadvantages. However, for rapid diagnosis, molecular examination, either through PCR or RT PCR, is necessary.

Abstract

HELLP syndrome is a hemolysis syndrome with microangiopathic blood smears, increased liver enzymes, and low platelets in pregnant and postpartum patients. HELLP syndrome may be a complication or progression of severe preeclampsia. The death rate due to HELLP syndrome is relatively high. The use of corticosteroids is expected to increase platelet counts, reduce LDH values, and reduce liver function parameters to speed up the duration of healing and reduce mortality. Corticosteroids inhibit endothelial activation, reduce vascular endothelial injury, increase hepatic blood flow, prevent thrombotic microvascular hemolysis, and reduce platelet consumption. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of corticosteroids in patients with HELLP syndrome. Method: This research was conducted using a literature review method by searching articles from Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct. Results: Administration of corticosteroids can increase platelet counts, reduce AST/ALT values, and reduce the need for blood product transfusions. Conclusion: Corticosteroids effectively increase platelet counts in patients with HELLP syndrome.

Abstract

The process of selecting a major is a critical stage for students because it can influence their motivation and learning outcomes while attending school, especially at Vocational High Schools (SMK). This challenge is becoming more significant with the emergence of many new schools in various cities and districts in Indonesia, especially in DKI Jakarta Province. Prospective students often choose majors not based on personal interests, which can then result in lower grades, especially in productive subjects or certain competencies. To overcome this problem, a major suitability system is needed that can provide recommendations based on student abilities through certain attributes. In this research, a department suitability classification process was carried out using the Naive Bayes and k-Nearest Neighbor methods using data from 238 tenth grade (X) students for the 2023/2024 academic year, which included 9 relevant attributes. The testing process was carried out with a composition of training data and test data in five comparisons, namely 90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40, and 50:50. The research results show that the 80:20 composition provides the best results, with k-Nearest Neighbor achieving recall, accuracy and precision levels of 100%. On the other hand, the Naive Bayes Classifier produces a recall rate of 61%, with an accuracy of 73%. These results indicate that k-Nearest Neighbor is superior in predicting major suitability compared to Naive Bayes under these conditions.

Abstract

Gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) is a concept which enables the realization of sustainable inclusive development. The mainstreaming of GEDSI is also explicitly or implicitly contained in the vision and mission documents of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates Prabowo-Gibran, who are the winning pair of the election based on quick counts. In contrast to previous studies that tend to analyze policy documents that have been issued by agencies or institutions, this study aims to dissect the Prabowo-Gibran pair's ideas in implementing the GEDSI concept contained in the vision and mission document. The analysis of term frequency and density using the R application was carried out to calculate the frequency and density of keywords, while content analysis was used to understand the context of each word occurrence. This research is expected to make it easier to see Indonesia's future in mainstreaming GEDSI. The results found that 33 times the keywords appeared in the Prabowo-Gibran mission vision document, the context of the appearance of keywords contained in the Prabowo-Gibran mission vision document at least has a serious commitment to mainstreaming GEDSI.

Abstract

Fraud is often revealed through various media and employees are the ones who most often report it. Factors that influence fraud include pressure, opportunity, rationalisation and the ability to commit fraud. This study aims to determine the factors that cause financial statement fraud and find out how to overcome financial statement fraud. This research method uses a systematic literature review of 30 journals that have been selected from scopus, then analysed using VOSviewer_1.6.20 and explained descriptively. Financial statement fraud can be detected using the Beneish model, financial ratios, audit committees, and corporate indicators. The factors that cause it include pressure, opportunity, rationalisation and ability. Based on the data that has been collected, the solution to prevent financial statement fraud is a violation reporting system, honest and ethical corporate culture, good corporate governance, effective internal control and risk management systems, and data analysis and technology. The Beneish model is able to identify manipulator and non manipulator companies. Preventing fraud in banking requires the principle of knowing the customer and anti-money laundering. Anti-fraud strategy should be aligned with organisational strategy with accountability to the board and all employees. Some foreign studies also show ways of prevention such as the intensity of regulatory supervision and auditor sanctions. Future research suggestions are expected that future researchers can conduct research directly in a company and can use this article as additional information in conducting research related to financial statement fraud.
