Abstract

This research aims to analyze the power of raw coconut oil products in northern Sulawesi in 2018-2022. This study was held for four months, which is from April to July 2023. This research site is located in North Sulawesi. As for data obtained via secondary data taken from the body of the Central statistic North Sulawesi and central statistics center, Industrial services and trade in North Sulawesi, journals and the Internet. Variables used in research are the export value of raw coconut North Sulawesi and Indonesia (million US$) period of 2018-2022, non-migas export value North Sulawesi and Indonesia (million US$) period of 2018-2022. This research uses a revealed comparative advance (RCA) method to measure comparative and export competition (ECI) power to measure competitive power. The results of this study show that the comparative competitiveness of North Sulawesi crude coconut oil in 2018 until 2022 has a competitive advantage because the RCA value of North Sulawesi crude coconut oil is more than one. Whereas for the competitive competitiveness of North Sulawesi crude coconut oil only has competitive in 2021 because the ECI value is more than one. For the year 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022 have no competitive advantage because eci value is below one.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze consumer preferences for purchasing flower arrangements at the Quinn Florist shop in Winangun Dua Village, Malalayang District, Manado City. This research lasted for six months from May to October 2023. The data used in this research was primary data obtained based on questionnaires and secondary data from various online media. The sampling method is by chance (accidental sampling). The sampling method used was random (random sampling). The number of respondents was 100 people using sample calculations, namely the Slovin formula, producing 50 respondents. The data analysis used is chi square analysis with the help of SPSS statistics. The results of the chi square analysis show that for all consumer preference variables regarding purchasing flower arrangements at the Quinn Florist shop in Winangun Dua Village, Malalayang District, Manado City, there are differences in consumer preferences for flower arrangements. The research results show that the price, quality, promotions and service are the same, but differ in the type and consumer preferences for purchasing flower arrangements at the Quinn Florist shop in Winangun Dua Village, Malalayang District, Manado City, namely flower arrangements at a price of IDR35,000 to IDR150,000, the type of series is pot/table, the quality is seen from the beauty, promos namely discounts, and fast responsive service.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to calculate and analyze the income from lowland rice, corn and orange farming in Lembah Asri Village. The research was carried out for 3 months, namely from August to October 2023, starting from preparation to preparing the research report. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained in the research field, namely from interviews with lowland rice farmers, while secondary data was obtained from agencies related to the research. The sample used was purposive sampling (intentionally). The farmers sampled were 5 respondents for lowland rice farming, 5 respondents for corn and 5 respondents for Siamese orange farming. From the results of research conducted in Lembah Asri Village, South Weda District, Central Halmahera Regency, Siamese Orange Farming has a very large income, namely IDR27,233,140.6 per farmer with an R/C Ratio of 3.36, then followed by lowland rice farming with an income of IDR13,078,263 per farmer with an R/C Ratio of 3.94 and the lowest income is corn farming of IDR10,449,063.6 with an R/C Ratio of 3.94.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the social and economic conditions of cayenne pepper farmers in Tombasian Atas Satu Village, West Kawangkoan District, Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted for three months from July to September 2023, located in Tombasian Atas Satu Village, West Kawangkoan District, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. The data collection method used in this research is primary data obtained directly through observations and interviews with cayenne pepper farmers in Tombasian Atas Village. Secondary data were obtained from literature related to the socio-economic conditions of cayenne pepper farmers or books, research journals, articles or data from local governments. The population in this study were all heads of families of cayenne pepper farmers in Tombasian Atas Satu Village, totaling 25 families. The data analysis method used in the research is descriptive analysis by processing data from the field into quantitative data in tabular form and then described so as to explain the social and economic conditions of farmers. The results showed that the social and economic conditions of cayenne pepper farmers in Tombasian Atas Satu Village were classified as good. The majority of farmers have higher education, farming knowledge gained from experience, and relatively few family dependents. The majority of farmers choose to seek treatment at the health center or doctor. The majority of farming experience is in the range of 0-5 years, the main source of capital comes from farmers themselves, the majority of farmers own their own land, and livelihood diversification helps reduce economic risk. Farmers' production and income ranged from 50-90 kg of cayenne pepper per month, with an income of IDR1.500.000 to IDR3.000.000.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze red bean farming income based on land ownership status in Tempok Village, Tompaso District, Minahasa Regency. The research took place from June to August 2023. The data used in the research were primary data obtained from direct interviews with red bean farmers using questionnaires, and secondary data obtained from research results and journals. Sampling used a purposive sampling method, namely farmers were selected based on the last harvest in May and June, and the samples were divided into three categories, namely farmers who own their own land, farmers who rent land, and sharecroppers who work on other people's land. The number of respondents was 12 red bean farmers consisting of 4 owner farmers, 4 tenant farmers and 4 sharecroppers. The data collected was analyzed descriptively using farming income analysis. The results of the research show that red bean farming income is based on land ownership status, namely: owner farmers amounting to IDR49.129.667, tenant farmers amounting to IDR41.991.500, and sharecroppers amounting to IDR25.925.000 per planting season.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out and describe the perceptions of the younger generation towards work as farmers in Sion Village, Tompaso Baru District, South Minahasa Regency. The research took place from June to August 2023. The data collected is primary data obtained by direct interviews with youth in Sion Village using a questionnaire. Secondary data was taken from village and sub-district offices as well as research reports, journals and from the internet related to this research. The sample was chosen deliberately (purposive sampling) to represent the entire younger generation, totaling 30 respondents, namely young people aged 17 to 30 years (who are not yet married). The results of the research show that the young generation in Sion Village has a good perception of work as farmers with parental support for the young generation to continue the family farming business, supported by the government which also supports the young generation to farm, although the young generation is aware that land ownership influences younger generation to farm, the risk of failure in farming is less, but the perception of work as farmers in Sion Village for the younger generation is quite good.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the socio-economic conditions of flower chrysanthemum farmers in Kakaskasen Two urban village, North Tomohon Sub-district, Tomohon City. This research was conducted from September to November 2023. The data collected in this study were primary data and secondary data. Sampling was done by simple random sampling method which is as many as 30 respondents. Data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the socio-economic conditions of chrysanthemum farmers in Kakaskasen Two urban village, North Tomohon Sub-district, Tomohon City, from social conditions are respondent farmers are able to build good relationships with their communities, namely religious associations, family, friends and the surrounding community. In economic conditions, the production of chrysanthemums provides a large profit for farmers. The division of social and economic time of respondent farmers is approximately 15.73 hours and 8.27 hours in a day.

Abstract

The research objectives were to identify the product life cycle phase of the café business and identify the marketing strategy of Kedai Kopi Janji Jiwa Tondano Jilid 571. The research was conducted for 3 months from June 2023 to August 2023. The research took place at Kedai Kopi Janji Jiwa Tondano Jilid 571, Liningaan Village, East Tondano District, Minahasa Regency. This research uses two types of data, namely primary data obtained through observation, interviews and questionnaires. Secondary data were obtained from company documents, seminar papers, and literature relevant to the research. Sampling using purposive sampling and the research sample taken was 40 people. The results showed that the product life cycle of Kedai Kopi Janji Jiwa Tondano Jilid 571 is in the maturity stage, especially at the stable maturity stage, namely sales that have reached their peak or are still growing or decreasing and do not have daily, monthly or annual targets. Marketing strategies based on the aspects of place and people aspects are a good choice of consumers because all consumers answer 100% good, and the less good ones are in the promotion aspect, due to the lack of promotion carried out and not many consumers know.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the exchange rate of farmers in Passi Timur Sub-district, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The research took place from August to October 2023. The research was conducted in Passi Timur Subdistrict, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The data used in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained through direct interviews with respondents with a list of questions that have been prepared. Secondary data is data obtained through institutions, agencies, or offices related to this research such as data from the village head office, sub-district office, central statistics agency and so on. Sampling in the study using purporsive sampling method and the sample was 15 respondents of paddy rice farmers in Manembo Village, Poopo Village, and Pangian Village in Passi Timur Sub-district. The data analysis method used in this study uses the analysis of the exchange rate of wet-rice farmers by calculating the exchange rate of farmers (NTP) using the income concept formula. The results showed that the exchange rate of wet-rice farmers in Passi Timur Subdistrict, Bolaang Mongondow Regency obtained through the calculation of farmers' income and expenses amounted to 111.14, which means that wet-rice farmers in Passi Timur Subdistrict are able to meet the daily needs of their families from the results of wet-rice farming.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the comparison of corn farming income based on the ethnicity of farmers in Sidodadi Village, Sangkub Subdistrict, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The data collection method used in this research is primary data obtained through direct interviews to respondents and secondary data obtained from relevant government agencies in the research location. Sampling sampling used is Simple Random Sampling (Simple random sample) the sample is taken randomly. which will be sampled as many as 15 samples consisting of 5 Javanese Ethnic, 5 Minahasa Ethnic, and 5 Gorotalo Ethnic. The results of this study indicate that the highest total income of each ethnicity is Javanese Ethnicity with a total income of IDR 4,420,714 and the lowest total income is Gorontalo Ethnicity with a total income of IDR 1,635,625.
