The leaking of a pornographic content conversation transcript via the Whatsapp conversation application that involves the high priest of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) and Firza Husein invites the public debate and furore in the mass media, including online media Kompas.com and Republika.co.id. The case became more and more crowded discussed after Rizieq Shihab known to leave Indonesia and never returned to meet the call examination by the authorities. A number of parties considered the move as an attempt to escape legal responsibility. But Rizieq Shihab party declared it as a form of resistance to the criminalization of the ulama. Until his status was raised as a suspect, the alleged criminalization of the clergy in the case is still being voiced, especially by Rizieq Shihab sympathizers. In this study, researchers found results if the framing of news on online media Kompas.com has put forward the image of Rizieq as a suspect before the verdict was enforced by the police. Kompas.com consistently denied and asserted, there is no criminalization in the case of Rizieq Shihab's law. Similarly, the online media Republika.co.id. Framing the news in the media also denied any attempt to criminalize the clergy in the case of Rizieq Shihab. However, before the verdict of the suspect is given, Republika.co.id still consider other possibilities such as the existence of engineering in the case.

Abstract

The existence of hadith in the Muslim community is very significant. Hadiths that are interpreted in a certain way result to certain religious attitudes and social actions as well. Likewise, with the hadiths on the theme of al-jamaa'ah. Interpretation of the hadiths of al-jamaa'ah implicate to the identity of the group and led to group action which ultimately gave birth to a political identity of groups. This difference in interpretation is theologically influenced by the composition of the revelatory roles, ratios and traditions. There are groups whose tradition’s influence is larger than the others. Great attention to this tradition also differs as in NU which gives large portions to local traditions and salafiyah groups that give large portions to the ancient Arab tradition. There are also more balanced groups between the three components such as PERSIS.

Abstract

This research traces and criticizes the construction of the Hizbut Tahrir caliphate. For this purpose, the researcher will process the data from Hizbut Tahrir's books by using qualitative approach. The results of this study show; first, the caliphate system promoted by Hizbut Tahrir which is claimed to be an inseparable part of Islamic teachings is wrong. Second, the structure of caliphate that constructed by Hizbut Tahrir is changing over time; beginning from Taqiyuddin an-Nabhani, Abd Qadim Zallum, and Ata Abu Rashta. Thus, Hizbut Tahrir’s claim that the structure of the caliphate has been perfect since the time of the Prophet is a false claim.
