Jurnal Review Politik
Jurnal Review Politik (JRP) is a high-quality peer-reviewed research journal published by the Department of Islamic Political Thought, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Philosophy, Sunan Ampel State Islamic University, Surabaya. The languages used are Indonesian and English. JRP is published twice a year, June and December. The journal focuses on the studies of Islamic Political Thought, political science, religion and politics, governance issues, and public policies in Indonesia and other Islamic countries. The journal publishes theoretical and empirical research articles to promote and disseminate the academic atmosphere in and around the regions. The journal has areas of concern that include political science, Indonesian politics, gender politics and identity, community welfare, social development, citizenship and public management, public policy, international politics & security, media, information & literacy, religion and politics, digital society and disruption, civil society movement, governance & democracy, radicalism, and terrorism.

<![CDATA[An effort to separate religion from social and political role just goes on to explain that religion is private matter of human or it was an individual moral teaching. Religion is not a rule of organization, society and state, such as regulations for leadership, economic, social systems and so on. The view of secularism, which is the capitalist mainstream does not appear applying to Islam, because Islam still has tawâzun (balance) framework. One of the proofs of tawâzun, for example, is about political leadership which in Islamic perspective is in the corridor of muamalah, especially human relations with each other. For this reason, the author is interested in presenting a political leadership discourse in Islamic perspective.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to find a concrete social capital that is important for gender equality development in Muslimat Nahdlatul Wathan (NW) and to find a new reconstruction of gender issue and its relation to social dynamic. The whole process of this research conducted based on ethno- graphic steps. The results shows that reality of gender in Muslimat NW could be reconstructed into four forms; 1) description through educati- onal process; 2) balance role distribution of public domain; 3) gender’ status gets more autonomy in its organisation, and 4) the relation bet- ween man and women individually and organisationally Secondly, the construction model of gender relation in Muslimat NW some strategic social capital: 1) the equality as a social capital; 2) autonomic status as social capital that helps women to get and admission and become more self-directed (independent) and 3) futuristic thinking as a social capital. A dynamic context makes Muslimat NW become more flexible in making decision for their future ogranisation.]]>

<![CDATA[This research explored about Syiáh-Sunni political action in Karang Gayam and Blu’uran, Sampang-Madura: Tajul Muluk political action is covored under IJABI goverment which was built as low foundation to cover Ahlulbait. The enlargement of Syiáh in Karang Gayam have been in to neighbour village, Blu’uran. Till many people become the follower of Syiah. The strategy deployment of Shi'ism in Karang Gayam is the humanitarian approach through material assistance to communities in need . <![CDATA[This article discusses the social, cultural and religious social Javanese society and its impact on the political leadership. In general, the Javanese culture are described in their everyday lives at home, in the community in a variety of routine activities. Described in the Java community's daily behavior carefully, polite-spoken, introverted and promote harmony. It can not be separated from the philosophy of the Java community as well as the values of mystical-spiritual that comes from the teachings of religion, especially Hinduism and Islam. <![CDATA[The struggle of Acehnese to get the legality on the implementation of Islamic syar’iah law (also known as qanun) has been conducted since the authority of President Soekarno. The long process of it resulted in the enactment of law No. 11/2006 about The Government of Aceh which confirmed the establishment of Islamic Syar’iah Qanun. However after being established, the qanun experienced a lot of rejection. It is inversely proportional with the condition before the law was established, where Acehnese gave their full support in it. Pro and contra on the implemen- tation of the qanun has continued since 2006. Discriminatory attitudes of the implementer and the incomprehensive of legal content in qanun’s document become a fundamental problem that have to be solved. <![CDATA[Health service policy at health sector in Indonesia was not yet considered as friendly to the public (or pro-public). Regulations had been released by the government to produce a just and apportion health service. However, in reality, health service with good quality was only enjoyed by some users who were financially afforded. Poor community found only difficulty when the demand of being served was emerging. Research was aimed to present alternative strategy of how to synchronize the demands for hospital-based service managerial structure that was efficient and effective in meeting the needs of whole community layers. The method of research was deductive approach. The application of this approach was combined with the content of analysis after it was subjected against the result of research. Type of research was comparative study. The result of research indicated that health service in the hospital could be improved in such way that the community would enjoy feasible health service. The structural component of health system in the hospital could adopt egalitarian component of health service. It was important component that could produce health product with a character of being pro-public service.]]>

<![CDATA[The focus of this study examines the role of pesantren politics during the reform period; the form of political maneuvering of political parties as well as the current pesantren response, as well as the background of thought and reasons raised by pesantren. Particularly to be analyzed is the relation of pesantren with economic and political interests in the multi-party reform era political configuration.For the pesantren leader (kiai) in Banyumas, politics really is a necessity that can be done by all components of the nation, which can be done in various ways. Although most of the pesantren leaders (kiai) in Banyumas show an open attitude towards political parties, especially political parties based on Islam, but in their concrete choices are influenced by various factors, especially cultural (ideological) and structural (organizational) factors. Second, for political parties, the kiai's position is crucial to provide political and cultural legitimacy to his constituents.]]>
