Jurnal Review Politik
Jurnal Review Politik (JRP) is a high-quality peer-reviewed research journal published by the Department of Islamic Political Thought, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Philosophy, Sunan Ampel State Islamic University, Surabaya. The languages used are Indonesian and English. JRP is published twice a year, June and December. The journal focuses on the studies of Islamic Political Thought, political science, religion and politics, governance issues, and public policies in Indonesia and other Islamic countries. The journal publishes theoretical and empirical research articles to promote and disseminate the academic atmosphere in and around the regions. The journal has areas of concern that include political science, Indonesian politics, gender politics and identity, community welfare, social development, citizenship and public management, public policy, international politics & security, media, information & literacy, religion and politics, digital society and disruption, civil society movement, governance & democracy, radicalism, and terrorism.

<![CDATA[This research systematically reviewed 30 Scopus indexed journal articles from several countries, with a focus on youth political communication through the TikTok platform. All articles were published between January 2018 – July 2022 along with the rapid growth of TikTok as the most popular social media, and some overseas political activities that took advantage of the unique and superior features of TikTok. Through a qualitative and quantitative approach, the researcher found a significant increase of youth interest in political practices that are presented in 15-second videos. This study aims to provide learning materials of political communication through TikTok application and pave the way for politicians to engage more youth participation. Recommendations for future research are provided.]]>

<![CDATA[Formulasi Undang-Undang Omnibus Law Cipta Kerja menstimulasi sejumlah kontroversi bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Beberapa diktum di dalamnya berpotensi menimbulkan sejumlah persoalan berupa banyaknya kerugian yang akan ditimbulkannya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Omnibus Law dalam diskursus politik hukum, serta menganalisis politik hukum Omnibus Law perspektif dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif yang mengimplementasikan pendekatan filsafat (philosophical approach). Riset ini mengaplikasikan studi literatur sebagai teknik pengumpulan datanya. Adapun hasil dari riset ini memperlihatkan dua hal. Pertama, arah kebijakan pembentukan (politik hukum) Omnibus Law Cipta Kerja berorientasi kepada tiga arus pembahasan, yaitu Undang-Undang Cipta Lapangan Kerja, Undang-Undang Perpajakan, serta Pemberdayaan UMKM. Kedua, Analisis dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida menilik politik hukum Omnibus Law Cipta Kerja dari dua lokus, yakni prosedural dan substansial. Idealnya, untuk meningkatkan kran investasi, pemerintah perlu menyelesaikan permasalahan penghambat investasi di Indonesia. Kenyataannya, penyelesaian permasalahan penghambat masuknya investasi ke Indonesia ialah dengan membuat kebijakan yang tidak berorientasi terhadap penyelesaian masalah yang ada.]]>

<![CDATA[The attention of researchers to explore the brilliant thoughts of Ibn Khaldun is so great. Khaldun is a multidisciplinary scientist. He has many statuses. However, several studies of Khaldun's thought generally focus on two main disciplines, namely sociology and politics. His prolegomena, entitled muqaddimah, record very clearly the impressions of Khaldun's thoughts in the fields of sociology and politics. Generally, the study of Khaldun's thought only takes one corner of the scientific discipline, it is sociology or politics. In fact, Khaldun's various political ideas are actually a combination of sociology and politics at the same time. The study in this paper takes a different point of view by presenting the dual ideas of Khaldun's sociology and politics. This literature study found that Ibn Khaldun was one of the leading thinker of the political sociology. His idea of political sociology is reflected in Khaldun's conception of Ashabiyah and nomadic society.]]>

<![CDATA[In decentralization era, local government has been always aiming to serve an effective and efficient public policy. Effectiveness and efficiency of a public policy is considered by not solely by its policy formulation, but mainly by its implementation. An effective and efficient public policy is a course that can be implemented well and right, thus the expected purpose can be achieved at its maximum potency. Provincial government of East Java has been widely-known after their public policies related to development of Madrasah Diniyah, therefore this research focused on matters as followed: (1) What is the form of East Java provincial government policy on Madrasah Diniyah development? (2) How is the implementation of East Java provincial government policy on Madrasah Diniyah development? (3) What is the implementation model of East Java provincial government policy on Madrasah Diniyah development? Like most qualitative research, this research applies the methods of interview, observation and documentation in collecting research data. Then the analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study obtained several findings such as: (1) The form of East Java provincial government policy on Madrasah Diniyah development, including: (a) Madrasah Diniyah teachers quality enhancement programme, and (b) Implementation Funding Programme for Diniyah Education and Private Teachers; (2) The implementation of East Java provincial government policy on Madrasah Diniyah development involved policy stakeholders of both bureau and non-bureau, and (3) The implementation model of East Java provincial government policy on Madrasah Diniyah development was Hybrid Society Endorsement.]]>

<![CDATA[This article focuses on efforts to find political entrepreneurship for poli-tical actors in Alang-alang Village and the prospects for democracy that are occurring. Based on the research conducted, there are several inte-resting things, including: First, the political entrepreneurship of Alang-alang village Klebun can be seen in the political strategy applied to manage the surrounding actors. Every relationship built by a Klebun to the actors around them is realized as part of the production of power and at the same time maintaining it. Second, in the context of demo-cratization at the local level, political actors in Alang-alang village are trying to get out of the previous centralism of power. The tagline "People's soldier" made by the Alang-alang village government places the community as a king who must be served. However, the ability of Klebun to manage village politics must also be anticipated so that a new king does not emerge at the village level.]]>

<![CDATA[Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pergeseran politik aliran menjadi politik transaksional yang terjadi dalam pemilihan kepala daerah langsung Kabupaten Tulungagung Propinsi Jawa Timur pada tahun 2018. Pergeseran politik tersebut salah satunya disebabkan semakin pragmatisnya para pemilih yang disebabkan karena tuntutan situasi dan kondisi masyarakat. Termasuk masalah ekonomi akibat tuntutan dalam sistem sosial masyarakat yang semakin kapitalis. Sistem sosial masyarakat yang semakin kepitalis ini mempengaruhi pilihan politik masyarakat yang semakin pragmatis. Selain terjadi pergeseran politik, di Kabupaten Tulungagung Propinsi Jawa Timur juga menjadi sorotan oleh masyarakat lokal maupun nasional dikarenakan pasangan bupati dan wakil bupati terpilih terjerat masalah hukum, yakni bupati terpilih sekaligus bupati petahana menjadi tersangka kasus korupsi dan menjadi tahanan di Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK). Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan ada banyak penyebab kenapa bupati yang terjerat masalah hukum tersebut terpilih kembali, salah satunya karena memang terjadi pergeseran dari politik aliran menjadi politik transaksional pada kalangan pemilih di Kabupaten Tulungagung.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to understand the phenomenon of low political participation in Lamongan Regency. This research was conducted by identifying various inhibiting factors for political participation of persons with disabilities, and by explaining what factors play a role in its optimization. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach (qualitative methods) which refers to various techniques in research; participatory research, intensive personal interviews, observation process and focus group discussions (FGD) to understand the experiences of key informants. The results of this study indicate that the inhibiting factors for political participation of persons with disabilities is the lack of political participation accessibilityfor persons with disabilities, as well as the charity view that considers persons with disabilities as marginalized people who need a helping hand. Meanwhile, the optimization of the role and political participation of persons with disabilities is carried out by drafting a regional regulation on the implementation of protection and fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities by the Executive and DPRD (Regional House of Representatives)Lamongan, as well as by strengthening the socialization intensitycarried out by the general election organizer, namely the KPUD (Regional General Election Commission) Lamongan.]]>

<![CDATA[Kajian analisis perkembangan publikasi tentang oligarki dan demokrasi mengalami pasang surut dalam periode saat ini, tentu saja hal tersebut berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan ilmu politik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkatagorikan tema atau konsep yang terkait dengan kajian oligarki dan demokrasi. Melalui analisis deskriptif dan bantuan perangkat lunak VOSviewer, diperoleh 139 dokumen yang diindeks scopus, diterbitkan oleh penerbit besar seperti MDPI, Sage, ScienceDirect, Emerald, Taylor dan Springer. Pendekatan penelitian semiotika poststrukturalisme dengan cara pembacaan tanda/node dan symbol yang muncul dalam visualisasi: symbol, numeric dan semantic serta keterkaitannya. Dokumen diambil pada tanggal 15 April 2021, dan rentang waktu dokumen yang dianalisis tahun 2015 hingga 2021. Terdapat lima klaster dengan 22 item yang menjadi topik penting dalam kajian oligarki dan demokrasi. Oligarki dan demokrasi sebagai sebuah gejala sosial yang makin menguat menjadi fokus pemetaan dalam artikel ini.]]>

<![CDATA[Narrative Policy Framework (NPF) berupaya mendeskripsikan, menjelaskan, dan memprediksi peran narrasi dalam policy making. Tujuan penelitian ini melakukan pendekatan bibliometric untuk melihat perkembangan penelitian pada bidang Narrative Policy Framework (NPF). Data penelitian ini merupakan 125 artikel berepurtasi internasional (Scopus) pada tahun 2010 sampai 2020 dengan kata kunci Narrative Policy Framework (NPF). Indikator bibliometrik, seperti kutipan, digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi struktur tema. Analisis data dilakukan dengan perangkat lunak softwere VOSviewer dan NVivo Plus 12. Penggunaan VOSviewer untuk memetakan tren tema utama di area penelitian dan dapat menemukan literature baru. Kemudian melakukan project map tema besar artikel penelitian Narrative Policy Framework dengan perangkat lunak softwere Nvivo Plus 12. Hasil analisis, penulis, lembaga, dan kata kunci menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Studi penelitian Narrative Policy Framework memiliki tren perkembangan jumlah publikasi sangat fluktuatif pada sepuluh tahun terkahir; (2) United States memiliki kontribusi tinggi dalam publikasi penelitian topik ini; (3) tidak adanya dominasi penulis tunggal yang siginifikan: (4) Studi Narrative Policy Framework berdasarkan analisis jaringan, menunujukan empat tema besar yang menjadi konsen author, Policy, Narrative, Politik. Narrative Policy Framework memiliki peran dalam melihat struktur narasi, ideologi narasi dan gap narasi antar aktor, sehingga kondisi tersebut dapat membuat analisis kebijakan publik semakin komperhensif.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini memiliki tiga tujuan, yaitu mengidentifikasi bentuk ujaran kebencian yang dilontarkan salah satu anggota DPRD Kabupaten Bantul, peran Badan Kehormatan DPRD Kabupaten Bantul dalam menangani permasalahan serta sanksi yang diberikan pada anggota DPRD tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan data sekunder yang terbagi atas literatur, media online dan internet, serta dokumen dari DPRD Kabupaten Bantul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anggota DPRD Kabupaten Bantul telah melakukan ujaran kebencian, dengan bentuk pencemaran nama baik sukarelawan covid-19 di Kabupaten Bantul. Untuk mempertanggungjawabkan tindakannya, anggota DPRD Kabupaten Bantul tersebut telah dipanggil oleh Badan Kehormatan DPRD Kabupaten Bantul. Akhirnya, untuk menyelesaikan perkara anggota DPRD Kabupaten Bantul dengan pertimbangan Badan Kehormatan DPRD Kabupaten Bantul meminta maaf secara terbuka kepada seluruh sukarelawan covid-19 di Kabupaten Bantul.]]>
