Abstract

The Fourth Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at 1984 in Casablanca Morocco had issued Resolution 2/4-P(IS) which puts attention to the City of al-Quds. The resolution condemned Israeli government who destroyed religious sites in al-Aqsa Mosque complex, asked for reversion of the Palestinian sovereignty over al-Aqsa Mosque, and commanded the OIC members to make all necessary actions to impose sanctions against Israeli government politi¬cally, economically and culturally. Ineffectiveness of this resolu¬tion has been mainly caused by a number of factors, are: firstly, the level of colla¬¬bo¬ra¬tion and collectivity among the members of the OIC is low. Secondly, the resolution is highly vulnerable.Thirdly, there is no such rule in the OIC which ensures the implementation of the OIC’s resolu¬tions for its members. There is no a dominant state which becomes the leader of the OIC. This condition has been worsened by the lack of epistemic community roles in the drafting process of the OIC resolutions

Abstract

This article discusses a hegemonic project of Gulen Movement in Turkey. To read this hegemonic project does this article use a neo-Gramscian approach. The accumulation of Gulen Movement triggers a friction between Gulen Movement and the other existing hegemonic block, that of political Islam. The feud of these Islamic groups started when Gulen Movement makes use of an existing neoliberal system, both at the national and international levels, to build its accumulations on economy, social and politic sphere. The success of the accumulation grows Gulen Movement into a counter-hegemonic block which eventually triggered a Turkish coup 15 July 2016.

Abstract

This article aims at describing the values of pluralism and its basic principles. Multiculturalism as the doctrine of 'common culture' provides space for achievement of two needs: (1) the maintenance of diversity and integration at the level of community; (2) sustainability of unity at the level of the nation in order to achieve the goals as a nation. Multiculturalism approach is an alternative approach to politics of identity as well as an alternative to conflict resolution. Multiculturalism with pro-existence approach is conflict resolution strategy which is able to transform the tension in democracy and plurality into a new social order which gives chance for the presence of a productive interaction among diverse identities and the same time provides social integration to assure the sustainability of the principles of democracy and human rights.

Abstract

Nowadays, the world has been stunned by the acts of terror committed by women. This is done by Islamic terrorist groups, which have very conservative views on women. It has been frequently reported that these groups have threatened women from getting education and the "friendly" public domain. However, the terrorist leaders see that recruitment of women terroristsis an important matter. It is an interesting issue to analyze. Based on library research this article attempts to look at this reality as a part of the postmodern phenomenon, which seeks to deconstruct the already established discourse. The article examines the terror movement, relativity, flexi-bility, and deconstruction of the conservative texts about women carried out by the Islamic terrorist groups.

Abstract

This article discusses the effect of public perception toward the survey results on the president and vice president candidate’s electability and its relation to the voters’ behavior in Surabaya during the 2014 presidential election.
