Abstract

This research aims to determine the characteristics of the education level of fishermen in Burau Pantai Village, Burau District, East Luwu Regency and to find out fishermen's perceptions of formal education and to find out what fishermen do in continuing their children's formal education. This research was carried out in November 2020 - December 2020 in Burau Pantai Village, Burau District, East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. The sampling method used was Non Probability sampling. The data sources used were primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used percentage analysis. Education, Likersts scale and qualitative data analysis. Educational characteristics of fishermen in Burau Pantai Village as many as 87 people did not take formal education This is influenced by many factors, especially fishermen's socio-economic factors. Public perception of children's formal education where fishermen choose that education will determine profession and work In the future, fishermen choose that education will make someone knowledgeable, fishermen's assumptions about the cost of education can be cultivated, there are no fishermen who say that education is cheap, fishermen say that education can change the status and position of fishermen social. Various efforts have been made by fishermen in meeting the educational needs of their children, namely the double income pattern.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship pattern of mustard punggawa to gillnet fishermen and to find out the income and remuneration system of mustard punggawa to gillnet fishermen, Sumpang Binangae Village, Barru District, Barru Regency. This research was carried out from February to March 2021 with two main respondents, namely retainers and mustards for gillnet fishermen in Sumpang Binangae Village, Barru District, Barru Regency. The sampling method in this research is purposive sampling. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative analysis and quantitative descriptive using the formula for production costs, revenues and profits. The pattern of the punggawa-sawi fisherman's working relationship in recruiting mustard greens, Mr. burhanuddin (the punggawa-sawi fisherman group A) prefers to prioritize his family who are looking for work for him. While on the other hand, Mr. dg. Nai' (the punggawa-sawi fisherman group B) chose the mustards who worked for him not only based on kinship but friendship. Then the income of the retainer-sawi fisherman group (A) is IDR 454,530,000 per year and the wage system is the retainer's wage of 65%, while the mustard greens get 35% of the catch. The income of the retainer-sawi fisherman group (B) is Rp. 266.673,333 per year and the wage system is the retainer's wages of 50% while the mustard greens get 50% of the catch.

Abstract

Harvesting marine biological resources especially fish, is still largely dotted with fishing activities. One of the fishing businesses engaged in fishing that has already developed in Indonesia, especially in the South Sulawesi Bone Bay is a ring trawl business (Purse seine). The magnitude of the potential of fisheries in the bone bay led to the formation of a large number of purse seine fishing business units in Bone district. However, erratic natural conditions make production yields non-permanent so it is necessary to know how much this business is still feasible to continue. In this purse seine catch production flow, aspects of marketing and distribution anaises are an important part of knowing the effectiveness of production to support the economy of society. The research was conducted from October to November 2020. In this study the income received by the purse seine capture business unit in bone bay was 1,115,964,357.52/year and indicated that the purse seine business carried out by the fishing business actor was feasible to develop by the division between receipts and costs has a value of more than one (>1). Based on the Marketing aspect the value of marketing efficiency of purse seine catches is set according to the marketing channel value <1 which means it can be said that both channels are efficient marketing on each fish commodity.

Abstract

The development of the business world is growing and the type of business is growing because most individuals choose to open their own businesses, especially in the field of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) because they do not require large capital. Benteng Village is one of the areas where there are product processing business activities by utilizing seaweed fishery resources (E.Cattoni/K.Alvareii) as one of the raw materials. Seaweed E. Cattoni is one type of seaweed that can be used in various food and beverage products because it has properties that do not reduce the delicacy of food, in addition, E. cottoni seaweed is known as a source of fiber so that it can be used in making crackers. . Crackers are one of the snacks that are consumed as a snack or as a complementary food to regular meals. The purpose of this study is to determine the cost of goods sold in seaweed cracker business X. To achieve this goal, the survey method is used, where survey research is research that takes samples from a population in the field by conducting direct observations at the research site, through interviews and interviews. observation of respondents and using questionnaires as a data collection tool that had been prepared in advance by the researcher. The results of this study indicate that the calculation of the cost of goods sold in the seaweed cracker business X obtained results of Rp. 10,000/product and the cost of production of Rp. 4,171/product so that the profit per product is Rp. 5,829.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the flow of information and finance, (2) the main problems that occur in supply chain activities at PPI Paotere, and (3) supply chain models at PPI Paotere. This research was conducted in March 2021 at PPI Paotere, Makassar City. The type of research used is survey research using a quantitative approach. The sampling method used cluster sampling and the determination of the number of samples with the Slovin formula, so that the number of samples as many as 43 people. The data analysis used in this study is a quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that in terms of information flow, pelagic and demersal fish sources of information mostly came from groups of fishermen, courtiers and even other traders. Financial flow with a system of mutual trust that has been built and maintained for a long time because the average supplier and trader have been subscribing for years. The flow of goods starts from the source of goods originating from fishermen who are obtained from nearby islands until they finally arrive to consumers and industry. There are various problems experienced by market players at the Paotere fishing port, including the timeliness of auctions, checking the number and types of fish and cooperative services at the Paotere fishing port. The supply chain model for pelagic and demersal fish in the Paotere fishing port is divided into two, namely for export needs and local consumers. The supply chain model for local consumer needs consists of groups of fishermen, courtiers, traders and consumers while for export needs consists of groups of fishermen, retainers, UPI, companies then exported.

Abstract

Seaweed has become a prima donna commodity for coastal communities, considering its positive contribution to the workforce and increasing income. Types of seaweed that have potential but have not been widely cultivated are Caulerpa sp. with the local names 'lawi-lawi' (Sulawesi) and 'Latoh' (Java). Lawi-lawi is widely known by the coastal community because several types of seaweed are used as daily natural food ingredients in South Sulawesi and are used for medical purposes because they contain antioxidants. Takalar Regency is the center of Lawi-lawi seaweed incubator, where development clusters are spread throughout the sub-district. One of the sub-districts that is the center for the development of Lawi-lawi seaweed is Mangarabombang District. some people in Laikang Village make a living as cultivators of lawi-lawi. Lawi-lawi cultivation activities in this village have been going on since 2011 and continue to grow until now. The purpose of this study was to determine the investment and income of lawi-lawi cultivators. The results showed that the average cost of cultivation of lawi-lawi (Caulerpa Sp) in Laikang Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency was IDR 8.397.500, the total annual income was IDR 8 .397.500 IDR. 147.600.000, total monthly income of  IDR. 16.132.427.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the Murante Fish Auction Place in the trade process of skipjack tuna (K. pelamis), the trading process of skipjack tuna (K. pelamis) at the Murante Fish Auction, and the advantages and disadvantages of trading skipjack tuna (K. pelamis) at the Murante Fish Auction Place. This research was conducted in April 2021 at TPI Murante, Luwu Regency. The type of research used is survey research with a qualitative nature. The population in this study were TPI managers, ship owners, and fish traders using the census method where the sample was taken from the entire population that was used as the research sample. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data then processed using a Likert scale and analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the role of TPI Murante, namely as a place for boats to dock and a place for quality development of fishery products, had a fairly good level of role and as a place for skipjack tuna trading as well as a place for landing fish and loading and unloading catches had a good role. The advantages of trading skipjack tuna at the Murante Fish Auction are that the conditions for participating in the skipjack trade are easy to fulfill, do not delay the execution of skipjack tuna trade, and have trading facilities such as trading buildings, scales, barriers, and clean water. For lack of skipjack trade at the Murante Fish Auction, among others, TPI lost retribution, uncertain trading times, and lack of coolboxes to place fish.

Abstract

Thys  study aims to determine the income analysis of bagan cungkil fishermen in lamuru village, tellu siattinge sub-district, bone district and to determine the profit sharing system found in bagan cungkil fishermen in lamuru village, tellu siattinge sub-district, bone district. This research was conducted from June to July 2021 in Lamuru Village, Tellu Siatinge District, Bone Regency. The type of research used is a quantitative and qualitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used is the census method. As for the income analysis of bagan cungkil fishermen in Lamuru Village, Tellu Siattinge District, Bone Regency, it was carried out by calculating the total income consisting of 10 Bagan Cungkil business units in Lamuru Village, Tellu Siattinge District, Bone Regency with revenues of Rp. 30,372,680,000/year. The costs incurred were IDR 3,606,440,668. So that the income is Rp.26,766,239,332 or with an average of Rp.2,676,623,933/unit. The profit-sharing system in the Bagan Cungkil Business Unit in Lamuru Village, Tellu Siattinge District, Bone Regency is still based on the customs of the surrounding community, namely 50:50, where the ship owner gets 50% of the total income and the crew also gets 50% of income

Abstract

This study aims to determine the economic condition of fishermen's households, Ujung Kota Parepare District during the Covid-19 pandemic and to determine the resilience of fishermen in meeting their needs during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted from July 2021 to August 2021. The sampling method is purposive sampling with a total sample of 29 people. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data is analyzed using revenue analysis, and qualitative data analysis. The economic condition of fishing households in Ujung Kota Parepare District during the Covid-19 pandemic has decreased income and seeks additional income by doing side jobs. The resilience of fishermen in Ujung Kota Parepare District in fulfilling the needs of life is to utilize livelihood assets (natural, human, physical, financial and social), which they have in the fishermen households of Ujung District. This capital is used so that fishermen in Ujung District can be resilient during the Covid-19 pandemic without having to increase their burden and vulnerability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the income of the unit of sea cucumber dive fishing boats on Barrang Lompo Island, Makassar City to find out the profit sharing system for sea cucumber fishermen on Barrang Lompo Island, Makassar City. This research was carried out in Sangkarrang Subdistrict, Barrang Lompo Village, Makassar City in July 2021. The type of research used was descriptive qualitative and quantitative by using tools in the form of questionnaires with interview and observation techniques as the main data collection methods. Based on the results of research on the business of sea cucumber divers on Barrang Lompo Island, Sangkarrang District, it can be concluded that the average income of sea cucumber fishermen on Barrang Lompo Island per year is Rp. 406.361,422. The profit-sharing system contained in the sea cucumber dive fishing vessel unit is 25: 75, where the retainer or ship owner has a profit of Rp. 101,590,355/year and mustard or crew members have a profit of Rp. 22,507,998/year.
