Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of return perception and risk perception on stock investment interest in the capital market, using a case study of Management students at Universitas Teuku Umar. The research employs a quantitative correlational approach. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling known as accidental sampling. The population and sample were determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 100 Management students from Universitas Teuku Umar as respondents. Data was collected through questionnaire distribution. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with SPSS V.26 software. The findings indicate that return perception (X1) has a significant partial effect on investment interest (Y), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Risk perception (X2) has no significant partial effect on investment interest (Y), with a significance value of 0.570 > 0.05. Both return perception (X1) and risk perception (X2) have a significant simultaneous effect on investment interest (Y), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Return perception (X1) and risk perception (X2) can explain 71.4% of the variance in investment interest (Y) and contribute 49.9% to the variance in investment interest (Y). The remaining 50.1% is influenced by factors not included in this study, such as psychological factors, knowledge level, information about the capital market, individual risk tolerance, and previous investment experience, which could be considered for future research.

Abstract

This study investigates the extent to which product quality and service quality influence customer satisfaction at Yana Mode Store in Meulaboh. Grounded in the premise that competitive retail performance depends on the ability to deliver superior value, the research addresses the question of whether product quality and service quality significantly affect customer satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 96 Management students selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using primary survey instruments and analyzed through multiple linear regression with the assistance of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. The findings reveal that product quality exerts a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction, service quality also demonstrates a significant positive effect, and both variables simultaneously contribute significantly to enhancing customer satisfaction. These results affirm that improving both product attributes and service performance constitutes a strategic pathway to strengthening customer satisfaction in the retail sector.

Abstract

Economic inequality in income distribution and regional disparities underscores the importance of sustaining Village Fund programs, particularly Direct Cash Assistance financed through Village Funds, to reduce social imbalances. Nevertheless, the implementation of this assistance has encountered governance challenges, including alleged fund deductions in Rundeng Village, Johan Pahlawan Subdistrict, West Aceh Regency. This study examines whether village financial transparency significantly influences the management effectiveness of Direct Cash Assistance funded by Village Funds in West Aceh Regency. Employing a quantitative approach with purposive sampling, the research was conducted in 21 villages within Johan Pahlawan Subdistrict and involved 105 respondents consisting of village officials and assistance beneficiaries, with hypotheses tested using simple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal that village financial transparency has a positive and statistically significant effect on the effectiveness of assistance management, with a regression coefficient of 0.465; however, the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 17.6 percent indicates that other structural and administrative factors also contribute substantially. These results affirm that strengthening transparency mechanisms constitutes a critical prerequisite for improving accountability and governance quality in village-level social assistance programs.

Abstract

This study examines the comparative relationship between the operating expense budget and the revenue budget in assessing financial performance at PT Dunia Barusa Toyota Meulaboh during the 2021–2022 period. The research addresses whether differences between budgeted and realized figures significantly influence financial performance, as measured by Return on Assets, and which budget component contributes more substantially. A quantitative comparative approach was employed, utilizing primary data obtained through direct interviews with personnel involved in budget preparation. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing through the t-test, processed with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences at a significance level of 0.05. The findings reveal that both the operating expense budget and the revenue budget demonstrate a strong relationship with Return on Assets and exert a significant partial effect on financial performance. These results affirm that effective budgetary planning and control constitute critical determinants of corporate financial performance.

Abstract

Organizational change, particularly leadership transition, often reshapes institutional culture, regulatory practices, and employee behavior. This study examines whether changes in leadership significantly affect employee integrity, discipline, and performance at the Regional Development Planning Agency of Simeulue Regency. Using a qualitative approach supported by observation and in-depth interviews, the research analyzes behavioral and structural adjustments occurring during the leadership transition phase. The findings indicate that leadership change influences organizational culture and regulatory patterns, particularly during the adjustment period, as each leader brings distinct characteristics, perspectives, and managerial approaches. These differences affect employee discipline through variations in supervision and control mechanisms; however, they do not significantly alter overall employee performance, which is more strongly determined by individual competence and personal attributes. The study concludes that leadership change primarily generates short-term adaptive shifts rather than substantial long-term transformations in integrity, discipline, or performance.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of brand image and service quality on consumer purchasing decisions at Yamaha motorcycle dealers in West Aceh Regency amid the intensifying competition within the automotive industry. The research addresses how a strong corporate image and high-quality service contribute to consumer preferences and purchasing behavior. A quantitative approach with a causal associative design was employed, involving 50 customers of PT Alfa Scorpii Meulaboh as respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, and F-tests with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings reveal that brand image exerts a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. Service quality likewise demonstrates a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. Simultaneously, both variables account for 93.7% of the variance in purchasing decisions, while the remaining 6.3% is attributed to external factors beyond the research model. The study argues that strengthening brand image and improving service quality constitute strategic factors in enhancing customer loyalty and sustaining competitiveness in the automotive industry.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of price and product quality on consumer loyalty at Café Meuligo Agam, a well-known culinary business located in Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency. The research was motivated by variations in consumer perceptions regarding taste preferences and concerns related to relatively high product prices, particularly among middle- and lower-income consumers. The study addresses the question of whether price and product quality significantly affect consumer loyalty both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative approach was employed using primary data collected from 100 respondents. Data were analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, and F-tests. The findings demonstrate that price and product quality exert significant partial and simultaneous effects on consumer loyalty. Product quality contributes positively to customer retention through consistent service and consumer satisfaction, while pricing strategies influence purchasing decisions and long-term loyalty. The study concludes that maintaining competitive pricing and consistent product quality constitutes a crucial strategy for strengthening consumer loyalty in the culinary business sector.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between Gross Domestic Product (GDP), exports, and imports and Indonesia’s external debt during the 2010–2022 period. The research was motivated by the increasing dynamics of Indonesia’s foreign debt and the need to understand the extent to which macroeconomic variables contribute to debt accumulation. The study addresses the question of how GDP, exports, and imports influence Indonesia’s external debt, both individually and collectively. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary data and multiple linear regression analysis to evaluate the effect of the independent variables on external debt. The findings reveal that GDP exerts a positive and significant effect on Indonesia’s external debt, indicating that economic growth is accompanied by an increase in borrowing activities. Exports demonstrate a negative and significant effect, suggesting that higher export performance contributes to reducing dependence on foreign debt. In contrast, imports do not show a significant influence on external debt accumulation. The study concludes that strengthening export performance and maintaining sustainable economic growth are essential strategies for improving debt management and supporting national economic stability.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of murabahah financing on bank profitability at Bank Syariah Indonesia Kabanjahe Branch in response to the need to evaluate the performance of Islamic financing instruments within competitive financial markets. The research problem addresses whether murabahah-based financing significantly influences the profitability level of the bank. Using a quantitative approach, the study analyzes customer financing data from 2019 to 2021 through normality testing, multicollinearity analysis, multiple linear regression, and t-tests. The empirical results demonstrate a statistically significant and positive relationship between murabahah financing and bank profitability, indicating that higher volumes of murabahah financing contribute to improved financial performance. These findings confirm the strategic role of murabahah as a dominant profit-generating instrument in Islamic banking operations. The study concludes that strengthening murabahah financing portfolios can enhance the profitability and financial sustainability of Islamic banks, particularly at the branch level, while reinforcing the effectiveness of Sharia-compliant financing mechanisms in supporting institutional growth.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Wadiah contracts in the Easy Wadiah savings product at Bank Syariah Indonesia, Binjai Branch, in the context of Islamic banks’ fund?raising activities amid increasing demand for simple and Sharia-compliant savings instruments. The research addresses two main questions: how the Easy Wadiah savings mechanism operates and how the Wadiah contract is applied in practice. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that Easy Wadiah is the most preferred savings product due to its operational simplicity and transactional convenience, and that its mechanism conforms to Sharia principles derived from the Qur’an and Hadith. The product is implemented using the Wadiah Yad Dhamanah contract, which allows the bank to utilize deposited funds while guaranteeing their return. Although Sharia theory suggests that any bonus should be voluntary and provided in the form of goods or services, in practice the bank credits the bonus directly to customers’ accounts. Overall, the study demonstrates that the Easy Wadiah product largely adheres to Sharia-compliant principles while exhibiting adaptive practices within contemporary Islamic banking operations.
