Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and anxiety in facing a match. The scale used in this study is the self-confidence scale and the anxiety scale where the subjects in this study are PB Indocafe badminton athletes in Medan, totaling 30 athletes. The data analysis method used in this study is a purposive sampling technique, so the following results can be obtained: the hypothesis proposed in this study reads "There is a negative correlation between self-confidence and anxiety about facing matches in PB Indocafe Medan athletes". This result is evidenced by the following results: 1. The proposed hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is a negative relationship between self-confidence and anxiety, where rxy = -0.861 with a significant p = 0.000 0.050. 2. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the relationship between the independent variable X and the dependent variable Y is r2 = 0.742. This shows that self-confidence contributes to anxiety by 74.2%. 3. 3. Based on the comparison of the two values (hypothetical and empirical), it can be stated that self-confidence is high because the hypothetical average value of 87.5 is greater than the empirical average value of 81.00, and anxiety is classified as high because the average value the hypothetical 67.5 is smaller than the empirical mean value of 75.54. 3. Based on the comparison of the two values (hypothetical and empirical), it can be stated that self-confidence is high because the hypothetical average value of 87.5 is greater than the empirical average value of 81.00, and anxiety is high because the hypothetical average value is 67 .5 is smaller than the empirical mean value of 75.54. From the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze empirically the Effect of Consumer Satisfaction with Loyalty on Samsung Smartphone Consumers at PT. Nusa Abadi Success Arta. This study refers to quantitative methods with correlational analysis. The research sample was 45 people. The sampling technique in this study using incidental sampling is a sampling technique based on chance, that is, anyone who incidentally meets the researcher can be used as a sample. The customer satisfaction scale is based on aspects of customer satisfaction according to Manurung (2009): Expectations, Performance, Comparison, and Confirmation. Furthermore, loyalty is arranged based on aspects according to Fardani (2015) as follows: Repeat Purchase, namely loyalty to product purchases, Retention, namely resistance to negative influences regarding the company, Referalls, which refers to the total existence of the company. The two scales above use a Likert scale with 4 answer choices. Based on the calculation results of product moment correlation analysis, it can be seen that there is a positive influence between consumer satisfaction and consumer loyalty. It is assumed that the higher the customer satisfaction, the higher the loyalty, on the other hand, the lower the customer satisfaction, the lower the loyalty. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.990, with significant p = 0.000 0.05. This means that the proposed hypothesis is accepted. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the influence between the independent variable and the dependent variable is r2= 0.979. This shows that consumer satisfaction is distributed 97.90% of consumer loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to know the correlation of work motivation and organizational commitment on employees at PT. Suriatama Mahkota Kencana. The hypothesis proposed is that there is the correlation of organizational commitment and employee motivation. This research method is quantitative with correlation design. The subjects in this study were employees at the head office of PT. Suriatama Mahkota Kencana, totaling 40 people. Technique of sampling is purposive sampling. Data was collected using a scale, namely the scale of organizational commitment and work motivation scale. Data analysis is using Product Moment. Based on the results of the product moment analysis with a coefficient value (rxy) = 0.790 with a significant p = 0.000 0.05. These results indicate that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted, namely that there is a correlation of organizational commitment and work motivation. That is, the higher the work motivation, the higher the organizational commitment. The magnitude of the determinant coefficient (r2) is 0.634. This shows that work motivation is distributed by 63.40% towards organizational commitment. In this study, the work motivation of employees is classified as moderate with a hypothetical mean of 60.00 and an empirical mean of 64.575. Organizational commitment is also classified as moderate, with a hypothetical mean of 67.500 and an empirical mean of 69.352.

Abstract

This study purpose to determine the correlation between interpersonal communication with employee job satisfaction. Interpersonal communication is the communication process of between two or more people through verbal or non-verbal methods. Job satisfaction is measure of worker's positive feelings derives from their job, which is perceived from the comparison between actual work results and expected results. The population in this study is all employees of PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Pematang Siantar, totaling 63 samples, used a total sampling method. The measuring instrument used is the Interpersonal Communication scale and the Job Satisfaction scale by using Likert scale. The data processing in this study used the Product Moment correlation method by Pearson. The results showed a correlation of rxy =0.488 with p = 0,000 (p0,05), means that there is a significant positive correlation between Interpersonal Communication and Job Satisfaction. It means that the better the Interpersonal Communication, the higher the Job Satisfaction. Interpersonal Communication provides an effective contribution of 23.8%. while the remaining other factors that influence in this study that are not visible, that are opportunities for advancement, job security, salary, company and management, supervision (supervise), intrinsic factors of work, working conditions, social aspects of work and facilities.

Abstract

This writing aims to see the differences in academic procrastination in terms of parenting patterns for students at SMK Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam. The problem is focused on procrastination and parenting. In order to approach this problem, the theoretical reference from Ghuffron and Risnawati is used. The method of collecting data using the academic procrastination scale and screening on parenting patterns. The subjects in this study were students of SMK Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam totaling 100 students. This research is analyzed quantitativ. data analysis method used in this study is the 1-way ANOVA analysis technique. the following results can be obtained, there are significant differences in academic procrastination in terms of permissive, authoritarian and democratic parenting in students at SMK Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between democratic parenting and emotional intelligence in adolescents at Al Hikmah private high school. The type of research is quantitative research. The population is 80 teenagers. The sample in this study amounted to 49 people with democratic parenting. The measuring instrument used to measure the democratic parenting of adolescents using the scale of democratic parenting from Munandar (in Shochib 2010) is deliberation in the family, controlled freedom, parental direction, guidance and attention, mutual respect between family members, two-way communication. Measuring adolescent emotional intelligence using the emotional intelligence scale from Goleman (2014), namely, self-awareness, self-knowledge, self-motivation, four, social skills. It is known that there is a significant positive relationship between democratic parenting and emotional intelligence with a correlation coefficient of r_xy 0.609 with P = 0.000 0.050. This means that the higher the democratic parenting pattern, the higher the emotional intelligence, or vice versa. The hypothesis is accepted. The effective contribution of democratic parenting variables to students' emotional intelligence is 37.1%. Based on this research, it can be seen that there are still 62.9% influence of other factors on emotional intelligence that are not revealed in this study. The results of the research on students have moderate emotional intelligence and moderate democratic parenting. This can be seen from the SD results of 15.356, the empirical mean value of emotional intelligence of 79.00, and the hypothetical mean of 75. Furthermore, the results of the elementary school of democratic parenting were 13,889, the empirical mean was 75.04 and the hypothetical mean was 85.

Abstract

This article aims to determine how much the factors that influence academic procrastination in students at SMP Negeri 1 Pasaributobing, Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample in this study was class VIII Students in the 2021/2022 academic year, with a total sample of 60 students. The sampling technique used was total sampling technique. With the research scale using the Likert scale method. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis (F % or percentage of factors). Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the percentage of factors that contribute to influencing academic procrastination in students at SMP Negeri 1 Pasaributobing, which includes internal factors consisting of physical condition factor by 26%, and psychological condition factor by 24%. While external factors consist of parenting style factor by 25%, and environmental condition factor by 25%. So with that is concluded that the highest factors that contributes to influence academic procrastination in students is an internal factor with an indicator of physical condition factor that is 26%, anda the lowest factor is also in internal factors, with indicator psychological condition factor by 24%. Meanwhile, external factors which consist of parenting style factor and environmental condition have the same percentage.

Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between work motivation and work discipline of employees at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Unit Kebun Bandar Selamat. The population of this study were all 187 employees, and the sample in this study amounted to 47 people. The sampling technique used was perposive sampling. This research method uses quantitative methods. Data collection uses a work motivation scale and a work discipline scale which is measured using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique uses the Product Moment Correlation technique. The results showed a significant correlation value of p = 0.000 0.05, meaning that there was a positive relationship between work motivation and work discipline of employees at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Unit Kebun Bandar Selamat, with a determinant coefficient (r2) of 0.586 or 58, 6%. In other words, the hypothesis is accepted. Work discipline is classified as high (empirical mean = 102.55 hypothetical mean = 82.5 where the difference is more than SD = 5.445), and for work motivation it is high (empirical mean = 107.04 hypothetical mean = 90 where the difference is more than SD = 6.934).

Abstract

This article aims to examine the relationship between self-control and the tendency of narcissistic behavior in female students at SMK Negeri 7 Medan. The problem focused on student self-control and narcissistic behavior tendencies. In order to approach this problem, the theoretical reference from Calhoun Acocella (in Ghufron et al., 2011) is used to measure the aspect of self-control and the theory of Raskin et al., (1988) to measure the tendency of narcissistic behavior. The data were collected through a scale and analyzed quantitatively. The number of research samples is 40 students. The data collection technique in this study used purposive sampling. Data collection uses two psychological scales, namely the self-control scale and the narcissistic behavior tendency scale. Based on the results of the data analysis test using the product moment correlation technique (rxy), the result is -0.048 with a significance of p = 0.000 0.050. This study concludes that the hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a negative relationship between self-control and the tendency of narcissistic behavior in adolescents at SMK Negeri 7 Medan. Self-control is low where the hypothetical mean = 75.5 empirical mean = 65.97 and the difference exceeds the SD number = 10.6. The tendency of narcissistic behavior is high where the hypothetical mean = 80 empirical mean = 107.8 and the difference exceeds the SD number = 13.85. The coefficient of the determinant of the correlation is r2 = 0.301. Self-control provides an effective contribution to the tendency of juvenile delinquency by 30.1%.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the correlation between the work environment and employees job satisfaction in National Narcotics Agency of North Sumatra Province. The number of samples in this study was 73 employees who were registered as permanent employees. The sample collection technique in this research uses total sampling technique. Data collection wqs carried out using a Likert scale model for work environment and job satisfaction. The results of the research using the product moment correlation technique (r_xy )  are known to be 0,424 with p = 0,000 0,05. This means that there is a positive relationship correlation between work environment and job satisfaction in employees, the more positive work environment, the more positive the job satisfaction and the hypothesis in this study is accepted. Work environment contributed 18,0% to job satisfaction.
