Abstract

This research is motivated by the low activity of students in learning sociology at SMAN 6 Padang, especially in class XI IPS 1. The right effort to increase student activity in learning sociology in class XI IPS 1 is to apply explosion box media. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the application of the explosion box in increasing the activity of class XI IPS 1 student. This research method used classroom action research with a research sample of 39 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation with research instruments, namely observation sheets and interview guidelines with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The theory used by researchers in this study is the behavioristic theory according to Thorndike. The results of this study prove that the application of explosion boxes can increase the activity of class XI IPS 1 SMA N 6 Padang students in the 2021/2022 academic year with the percentage before using the explosion box is 28.2% then after using the explosion box media it increases in cycle 1 50.6%, then in the second cycle increased to 74.0%. Learning using explosion box media can increase student activity because it involves students as a whole and makes students creative and active in receiving learning. So it can be concluded that the explosion box media is suitable for increasing the activity of class XI IPS 1 SMAN 6 Padang students.

Abstract

The role of parents is needed during the learning process at home. The role of parents is also very much needed for the education process for students who still cannot understand the material given by the teacher at school. This study aims to analyze the role of family members during the learning process. This research is a qualitative type with data collection techniques used through observation, interviews and documentation. The role of family members during the learning process of students at SDN 03 Kuamang Nagari Panti Timur Pasaman Regency uses the theory of voluntary social action initiated by Talcott Parson. Research informants obtained from the results of the study amounted to 13 people. The data analysis used in this research from Milles and Huberman is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study Based on the results of research that has been carried out related to the title "The Role of Family Members in the Learning Process of SDN 03 Students" it can be concluded that there are several roles that parents must replace the teacher's position when studying at home which include: giving direction or supervision to teach children, providing direction to children for tutoring or tutoring, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure to complete learning facilities, taking work time to assist children in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student adaptation in implementing PPLK after online study for PPLK sociology education UNP students 2018 for the July-December 2021 period. This study was studied using structural functional theory by Talcott Parsons with the AGIL scheme. Functional Structural theory is a theory that views that all elements in society have their respective functions if one element does not function properly then problems will occur, so in this case the researcher sees that PPLK students are one of the elements in their society. must carry out its function properly even though there are obstacles. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. Informant selection technique using Non Probability Sampling with Incidental Sampling technique, non-Probability Sampling is a sampling technique that does not provide equal opportunities for each sample element. There were 18 informants in this study, namely 10 students, 5 lecturers, 3 teachers, data collection was done by interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Interactive model of Miles and Huberman (1992) which is divided into three activity flows, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study were adaptations made by students: 1. Preparing before teaching. 2. Prepare mentally. 3. Learn independently. 4. Self-motivated. 5. Adaptation to the school environment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of the lack of activity of students in class XI IPS 4 SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang in learning sociology, to overcome these problems, the application of interactive power point learning media is carried out, using classroom action research. Classroom action research method with a research design from Stephen Kemmis and Robbin MC Taggart conducted on students of class XI IPS 4 SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. This study aims to increase the activeness of students in class XI IPS 4 at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang in learning sociology by using interactive power point learning media. This research was conducted on students of class XI IPS 4 with a total of 26 students. Data collection techniques in this study are observation and interviews with qualitative data analysis techniques from interviews and quantitative data analysis techniques from observations. The results showed an increase in student activity, this can be seen from the observation sheet observed in the initial conditions or pre-action student activity the average was 19.22% and the first cycle the average student activity was 53.74% there was an increase in the difference of 44.52%, then the average student activity in the second cycle is 76.09%, the difference between the increase in the first cycle and the second cycle is 22.35%. This research ends in cycle II. It can be concluded that the application of interactive power point can increase student activity in learning sociology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the increase in learning motivation of students class XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Lubuk Basung in sociology learning, by applying the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative model for the 2021/2022 academic year. To analyze the problems in this study, the researcher uses the learning theory by Thorndike which says that a response or learning process followed by pleasant conditions by giving gifts or praise will strengthen the learning process. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 26 research subjects in class XI IPS 1. The approach model used by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which consists of four components: planning (planning), action (acting), observation (observation), reflection (reflecting). The data collection technique used is observation and interviews. The research instrument used in this research is an observation sheet. Analysis Techniques Observational data used quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques.The results showed that from the analysis of observational data in the study of increasing learning motivation with the application of the Team Games Tournament learning model, the students of class XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Lubuk Basung experienced an increase. The highest increase is that it is not easy to let go of things that are believed from 50% in the first cycle to 90.38% in the second cycle, this is because. Can maintain the opinion of 55.76% to 88.45% in the second cycle. This can be seen from the activeness of students in expressing opinions in class or students who ask and provide questions about the material being studied, these active students are also influenced by the additional value given by the teacher if they are active in the learning process. The difference in the average increase from the first cycle to the second cycle is 26.51%. The average in the first cycle from 58.40% to 73.89% in the second cycle. The conclusion that can be drawn from this discussion is that by applying the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model, it can increase students' motivation to learn sociology in class XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Lubuk Basung.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how students perceive online learning at SMA Negeri 10 Batanghari. This research is motivated by students' problems during online learning due to the covid-19 pandemic, from face-to-face learning to online learning using Whatsapp Group and Google Classroom media, besides that, students' responses are still low and their participation in online learning shows that students' readiness is still lacking. In this problem, the researcher describes how students perceive online learning at SMA Negeri 10 Batanghari. This research uses a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study research type, the technique for selecting the selected informans was purposive sampling. The data collection techniques was done by means of observation, interview, and documentation study. Data wwere analyzed using techniques from Miles and Huberman consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Informants in this study amounted to 28 people. This research was analyzed using the Construtivistic Theory by Jean Piaget. The result showed that threre were problem of online learning, such as difficult internet access, time limited, and the lesson difficult to understand because of that. The students said that there were so many problem of online learning in pandemic. So that, students perceive online learning at SMA Negeri 10 Batanghari is negative, because the lesson can’t optimal.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research with ex post facto type. This is related to the implementation of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in class XI of SMAN 1 Gunung Talang. The quantitative approach was chosen as the approach because the research focused on how to carry out its activities to achieve the expected goals. The population taken in this study were students who were involved in the implementation of online learning in class XI IPS 1 to IPS 5 in the July-December 2021 semester. The data collection technique used in this study was using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique that researchers will use in this study uses descriptive statistical data analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between learning independence and interest in learning in class XI IPS SMA 1 Gunung Talang Academic Year 2021/2022 which can be seen from the reliability test of Cronbach's Alpha, the results of the reliability test of the independent variable in learning obtained a reliability value of 0.713 then reliability the measuring tool is good, while for the learning interest variable the reliability value is 0.705, the reliability is good. Both variables have good reliability, meaning that these items are very reliable as a data collection tool in this study.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the researcher's interest in seeing problems during online learning last semester, many student learning outcomes were low due to the many assignments given by the teacher in all subjects so that they piled up which resulted in students becoming tired and not enthusiastic in learning and making student learning outcomes. be decreasing. In this study, researchers will try to see the obstacles in the application of the blended learning learning system in the success of the learning process for sociology subjects. The purpose of this research is to explain and describe how the implementation of blended learning in SMA Negeri 1 Batang Anai and what are the obstacles faced during the implementation of Blended Learning at SMA Negeri 1 Batang Anai. This research was analyzed using cybernetic learning theory which is an absorption word from the word cybernetic, namely control and communication systems that allow feedback. Cybernetics is a branch of science that pays attention to communication problems and the flow of information obtained as a complex system. The research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. Data collection begins in April 2022-May 2022. The research location is in SMA Negeri 1 Batang Anai. The informant selection technique was carried out by purposive sampling technique with 9 informants. Data was collected by means of observation, interviews and documentation studies, data collection using triangulation techniques and analyzed by Miles and Huberman analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of this study found that the obstacles in implementing the blended learning learning system at SMA Negeri 1 Batang Anai were: 1) lack of student motivation during online learning, 2) poor signal constraints during online learning, and 3 ) low student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the problems experienced by counselors in carrying out their duties and functions to provide guidance and counseling services in schools. Guidance and counseling are an important component for achieving educational goals. However, in the implementation of services and guidance and counseling experienced various obstacles. In explaining the problem, it is analyzed by the theory of status personality by Raph Linton. The system theory developed by Parson strengthens the analysis to explain the problems in counseling and guidance services in schools. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach through library research or literature study. Based on the research, it was found that the problems experienced in counseling guidance services in schools were the lack of understanding of students, teachers and the community, the professional factor of the counseling teacher and the school management factor and the availability of facilities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS 3 at SMAN 13 Padang compared to other class XI IPS, even though all class XI IPS at SMAN 13 Padang are taught by the same educator. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes by applying the Conceptual Attainment learning model to Sociology learning in class XI IPS 3 SMAN 13 Padang. The research method used is a quantitative approach. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and uses the Conceptual Attainment learning model. This study uses the Kemmis and Taggart research design model which is carried out in several cycles, each cycle consists of 4 stages namely, Planning, Action, Observation, Reflection and this research consists of 2 cycles, each cycle consists of two meetings. Data collection techniques in this study using Observation, Interview, Documentation, and Tests. The data analyzed used in this research are qualitative analyzed and quantitative analyzed. Qualitative data were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation during the research activities. Quantitative data obtained from student learning outcomes and this study used construktivist learning theory. The application of the Conceptual Attainment learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS 3 at SMAN 13 Padang in the 2021/2022 school year. overall student learning outcomes increased from the pre-action stage, cycle 1 and cycle 2. Where in the pre-action stage the average student learning outcomes were 71.28, in cycle 1 the average student learning outcome was 74.35 and in cycle 2 the average learning outcomes of students are 80. Based on the results of research that researchers did while at SMAN 13 Padang, it can be concluded that using the Conceptual Attainment learning model can improve student learning outcomes in class XI IPS 3 SMAN 13 Padang .
