Abstract

This study analyzes flood characteristics on Jalan Terusan Pemuda, Kesambi District, Cirebon City, driven by climate change and urbanization. Methods include rainfall analysis using the Thiessen Polygon method, rainfall frequency analysis with the Gumbel method, and drainage capacity evaluation using the Manning equation. Maximum daily rainfall data from 2015–2024 shows that the Penggung station contributed the most rainfall despite its smaller coverage area. The design rainfall for 2-, 5-, and 10-year return periods is 95.58 mm, 130.62 mm, and 153.83 mm, respectively. Drainage evaluation revealed that channels P5 and P9 are overloaded, while P1 and P10 are non-functional due to sedimentation and waste. Recommendations include channel normalization, construction of interceptor systems, implementation of Low Impact Development (LID) concepts, public education, and improved inter-agency coordination.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of E-Filing implementation, tax understanding, and tax sanctions on individual taxpayers’ compliance with annual tax return submission. Using a quantitative survey approach, data were collected from 300 respondents. Analysis was conducted with SmartPLS version 4, employing inner and outer models, alongside bootstrapping for hypothesis testing. Results indicate that E-Filing adoption, enhanced tax literacy, and enforcement of tax sanctions significantly improve taxpayer compliance. These findings underscore the importance of these factors in increasing compliance levels. The study offers valuable insights for tax authorities aiming to boost state revenue by reducing tax evasion and improving tax administration efficiency, ultimately contributing to optimized national revenue collection.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of profitability, liquidity, and firm size on firm value, with dividend policy serving as a moderating variable. The research focuses on energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2018 and 2023. From a total of 83 listed firms, 17 were selected using purposive sampling for analysis. The study applies the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) technique and processes panel data using EViews version 13. The findings indicate that profitability significantly and positively influences firm value, whereas liquidity has a negative impact. Firm size also shows a significant positive effect on firm value. Although dividend policy does not have a significant direct effect on firm value, it does moderate the relationship between liquidity and firm value by strengthening it. However, it does not moderate the effect of profitability or firm size on firm value.

Abstract

One of the key measures of a business's performance is its value; a high valuation indicates that investors are confident in the company's potential for future growth.  This study aims to examine the following factors: (1) the impact of profitability on company value; (2) the impact of liquidity on company value; (3) the impact of profitability through capital structure; and (4) the impact of liquidity on company value in companies in the food and beverage sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.  This study employs a path analysis method in conjunction with a quantitative methodology.  Purposive sampling was utilized in the data gathering process, and 31 companies in the food and beverage industry that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2020 and 2023 made up the sample. The study's findings indicated that a company's value is influenced by its profitability.  A company's liquidity adds to its worth.  Through its capital structure, profitability adds to a company's worth.  Through its capital structure, liquidity adds to a company's worth.

Abstract

Congestion in urban areas is not only influenced by the high volume of vehicles, but also by U-Turn maneuver activities that can cause conflicts and reduce traffic performance. This study aims to evaluate the effect of U-Turn facilities on road performance and provide recommendations for handling them. The method used is microscopic simulation using PTV VISSIM software, with reference to evaluation parameters based on the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI), namely the degree of saturation (DJ), delay, and Level of Service. The results of the study indicate that in the next 10 years there will be a decline in the performance of the analyzed U-Turn. This study analyzes 3 (three) alternative handling solutions in the form of traffic management on U-Turns and produces the best recommendations in the form of full opening of U-Turns 1 and 4, partial closure of U-Turns 2, and full closure of U-Turns 5 and 6 which can improve traffic performance on U-Turns to be more optimal (reducing delay values and increasing Level of Service values).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of price perception, product quality, service quality, place, and promotion on repurchase intention, with customer satisfaction as a moderating variable, in a case study of customers at Braud Café Bali. A quantitative approach using survey methods with moderation tests was employed for data analysis. The results indicate that price perception, product quality, service quality, and place have a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention. In contrast, promotion shows no significant effect. Furthermore, customer satisfaction does not moderate the relationship between the independent variables (price perception, product quality, service quality, place, and promotion) and repurchase intention. These findings suggest that aspects of quality and accessibility play a more critical role in driving repurchase decisions than promotional efforts or customer satisfaction as a moderating factor.

Abstract

This study investigates topic continuity and referential cohesion in the song “Perfect” by Simple Plan using Givón’s quantitative model. The objective is to analyze how various types of anaphoric references, including zero anaphora, definite pronouns, third-person pronouns, and possessive pronouns, function to maintain coherence and convey emotional meaning within the lyrics. Employing a qualitative descriptive design supported by quantitative analysis, the research examines the referential distance (JR), potential interference (PI), and topic continuity (TC) in each clause of the song. The data consist of all anaphoric expressions identified in the lyrics, collected through close reading and clause segmentation. The findings reveal that the song heavily relies on first and second person pronouns to construct an intimate and emotionally charged discourse. Zero anaphora is used selectively to create immediacy, while third-person and possessive pronouns support abstract and personal references. The absence of indefinite pronouns reflects the song’s focus on specific interpersonal conflict. These results suggest that Givón’s model is applicable to expressive, non-traditional texts such as song lyrics. The study contributes to the field of stylistics and discourse analysis by demonstrating how referential cohesion shapes meaning in emotionally driven narratives.

Abstract

Socio-cultural interaction is an essential element that must be continuously preserved in the safeguarding of cultural heritage sites, including the environment of the Kasepuhan Palace in Cirebon City. The area surrounding the palace is inhabited by a community known as the Magersari residents, who historically have had a special relationship with the palace. The aim of this study is to identify the forms of sacred ceremonies organized by the Kasepuhan Palace authorities and to examine how the Magersari residents engage in socio-cultural interactions within the royal family’s environment—both through direct participation and established communication. Furthermore, the study analyzes the factors that support the continuity of these activities. This research also seeks to explore the perceptions of the general public and visitors regarding the presence of Magersari residents in the palace area. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Magersari residents actively participate in sacred events such as Muludan, Suroan, Saparan, and the ceremonial cleansing of gamelan instruments. They also serve as tour guides and vendors in the palace square area. The study concludes that there is a strong and mutually supportive relationship between the Magersari residents and the Kasepuhan royal family, which is manifested through sustained socio-cultural interactions. This relationship is influenced by religious, cultural, economic, environmental, and communicative factors.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the practice of artificial intelligence in deepfake applications against cybercrime threats. Current technological developments have given rise to communication media using artificial intelligence technology in deepfake applications. The deepfake application can change a person’s visual and audio using a deep learning system and is widely used by the public and business actors. However, this technology often leads to cybercrime such as fraud and identity theft. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through literature review and analysis descriptively. The findings answer problems related to fraud and identity theft, focusing on the East Java Governor case, and emphasize the need for preventive measures by the public and government to avoid misuse of deepfake applications.
