Abstract

Delivery services are one type of service that is widely used by the public to facilitate the process of delivering goods and orders. However, the current delivery system is still not running optimally because the use of digital technology has not been maximized. This study aims to analyze user needs in the design of a delivery service application using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method. The UCD approach was chosen because it focuses on users by placing their needs and experiences as the main aspects in the system design process. This study was conducted up to the second stage, which was to understand the context of use and identify user needs. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to ten respondents consisting of customers, business owners, and couriers. The results of the study show that users need key features such as service ordering, real-time delivery tracking, automatic notifications, and direct communication between customers and couriers. In addition, users also want an application that is easy to use, secure, and has stable performance. The results of this analysis form the basis for the application design in the next stage to produce a system that meets user needs.

Abstract

This study examines user perceptions of the Tahu Sumedang application based on reviews submitted on the Google Play Store. The purpose of this research is to identify user sentiment and understand the aspects that influence positive and negative evaluations of the application. The lexicon-based sentiment analysis method is used to classify each review into sentiment categories through a dictionary of words with positive and negative polarity. The results show variations in user sentiment that reflect satisfaction with certain features and concerns about technical performance, navigation, and application stability. The findings highlight several aspects that require improvement to optimize the quality of digital public services. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of user feedback as an evaluation basis for developing more responsive and efficient public service applications.

Abstract

PT. Indomarco Prismatama is a retail company with the main activity of selling various types of products. However, in its operational process, obstacles often arise, especially in the input stage of transaction data for incoming and outgoing goods. These recording errors often result in differences between the stock recorded in the system and the number of products actually available in the warehouse. The company faces problems with stock shortages on several products that should be available for sale to customers, resulting in hampered sales processes, and sales targets cannot be realized optimally. There is also often a buildup of product stock in the warehouse, resulting in products expiring, which impacts losses for the company. This study applies the Trend Moment method. The Trend Moment method is an analysis technique used to observe the upward or downward trend of data within a certain time span. The trend pattern is calculated based on the average change that occurs from period to period, so it can illustrate the direction of data development in the long term. The application used in making predictions is the Active Server Page (ASP) programming language, which is considered more efficient in terms of system maintenance and runs the system with an SQL Server R2 database.

Abstract

This study compared the performance of the equality operator (==) and the compare() function in C++ for strings. The focus was on their speed and memory efficiency when processing large data sets. Three datasets containing 100, 1,000, and 10,000 random strings ranging in length from 5 to 10 characters were used, each tested three times. Time was measured in microseconds, while memory usage was calculated in kilobytes. The results showed that the compare() function was faster, about 42% faster on the 100-string dataset, and about 9% to 10% faster on larger datasets. Memory usage was similar, differing by only a few hundred bytes. Therefore, use the equality operator (==) for simple comparisons or on small datasets, and use the compare() function for larger data sets. Further research should examine the impact of different compilers, optimization levels, and C++ standard library implementations on these results, as well as include formal statistical analysis of the measured data.

Abstract

This study implemented a WhatsApp bot as a frontline information service at STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma (WICIDA). The main problems were the high burden of repetitive questions, limited service hours, and inconsistent responses. WhatsApp was chosen because of its high adoption rate and support for real-time communication. The study included needs analysis, bot architecture design, Node.js-based development, knowledge base integration, and performance evaluation. The results showed that the bot was able to answer 87.4% of questions correctly, reduce staff workload by 56%, and speed up response time to <3 seconds. These findings demonstrate that the WhatsApp bot is effective as a scalable solution to improve the quality of educational information services.

Abstract

Data security is a crucial aspect in managing construction projects, especially for large-scale companies such as PT. Swakarya Perfect. Unprotected data exchange may lead to risks of information leakage, which could impact confidentiality, integrity, and project sustainability. This study aims to implement a data security system using the Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4) algorithm on Android devices, enabling efficient encryption and decryption of construction project data. The research method involves system requirements analysis, application design, RC4 algorithm implementation, and testing of both security strength and application performance. The implementation results show that the developed system can effectively secure construction project data, as the encrypted information cannot be accessed without the proper key. Furthermore, the application demonstrates relatively fast execution time during encryption and decryption processes, making it feasible for mobile use. Therefore, this system contributes to enhancing data security in construction projects at PT. Swakarya Perfect through the application of modern cryptographic technology on Android.

Abstract

As the number of users and digital activities increases, the need for quality internet networks in boarding houses is also increasing. However, Wi-Fi networks in boarding houses face challenges in the form of multi-story buildings with concrete walls, long corridors, and many small rooms, coupled with the high number of connected devices and differences in the characteristics of the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, which cause dead spots, decreased throughput, and increased delay during peak hours. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review method on 15 studies related to indoor Wi-Fi network design, bandwidth management, and Quality of Service analysis in boarding house environments. The results of the study show that the most suitable topology is the application of several access points at the center of the building or main corridor, reinforced by APs or repeaters in areas with high physical barriers, designed using a Top Down Network Design (TDND) approach to align with the needs of residents and the characteristics of the space. From a management perspective, the combination of User Manager, CAPsMAN, and PCQ is effective for authentication, fair bandwidth distribution, and access point load balancing, thereby reducing misuse and preventing overload. Quality of Service parameters such as throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss are used to compare network conditions before and after optimization, and various studies show that this combination of topology design and bandwidth management consistently improves speed, stability, and equitable Wi-Fi access for boarding house residents.

Abstract

WiFi connectivity is crucial in supporting academic activities on campus, but its signal quality is affected by distance, physical obstacles, and Non-Line of Sight (NLOS) conditions. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review method to examine the influence of distance and environmental factors on the strength and stability of WiFi signals in campus buildings. The findings indicate that increased distance and the presence of physical barriers reduce RSSI and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) values, which subsequently decreases throughput and increases delay. Channel interference also contributes to connection instability. Optimization strategies such as proper access point placement and frequency channel management are essential to maintain network quality and ensure Quality of Service (QoS). This study provides strong indications of the key factors that need consideration in managing campus WiFi networks to support user comfort and usage efficiency.

Abstract

Data collection for housing renovation assistance in Barusjahe Village is still done manually, resulting in frequent data errors, slow processes, and a lack of transparency. This study developed a web-based data collection information system using the Waterfall method through the stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The system was built with PHP and MySQL and provides features for online registration, file uploads, admin verification, and automatic reports. Testing results show that the system runs well and is able to speed up the data collection process and improve accuracy and convenience for the community and village officials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how accounting information systems affect the quality of SME financial reports, with the potential moderating role of human resource capabilities. The approach used is a quantitative method, with a population of 14,819 SMEs in Palopo City, and samples collected using convenience sampling techniques, resulting in 38 responses. The data were evaluated using instrument testing, classical assumption testing, MRA testing, as well as coefficient of determination analysis and t-test with the help of SPSS version 26. The main findings indicate that accounting information systems do have a significant effect on the quality of SME financial statements, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t-value of 3.936 > the table t-value of 1.689. However, human resource capabilities are unable to moderate this effect, as the significance value reaches 0.423 > 0.05.
