Abstract

This study addresses the degradation of computer network performance in multi-user environments due to high traffic loads, limited bandwidth, and suboptimal configurations, leading to reduced throughput, increased delay, jitter, and packet loss. The objective is to identify key influencing factors and effective optimization techniques through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of empirical studies from 2020-2025. The methodology involved searching databases like Google Scholar and Garuda using keywords such as "network performance," "QoS," and "multi-user," selecting 7 relevant articles from 200 initial results via inclusion/exclusion criteria based on title, abstract, and full-text relevance. Findings reveal that Quality of Service (QoS) implementation significantly mitigates issues, reducing jitter by up to 40%, packet loss below 0.1%, and stabilizing real-time services like VoIP in settings such as schools, offices, and internet cafes.

Abstract

This study aims to design a web-based printing information system for Citra Grafika, which previously managed orders and generated reports manually. The manual system caused inefficiency, difficulty in searching for data, delays in report preparation, and a high risk of data loss. This study used observation, interviews, and literature review methods to collect system requirements. The system was developed using PHP and MySQL with features for online ordering, product management, customer data management, order status tracking, and report generation. The results of the study show that this system can improve operational efficiency, minimizing recording errors, and improving the quality of customer service. This web-based information system is expected to support decision making and increase Citra Grafika's competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

The use of Google Drive as a cloud computing service has brought about significant changes in the way users store, manage, and collaborate on data. As a Software as a Service (SaaS) service, Google Drive offers easy access, flexibility, and efficiency in internet-based storage. Users can upload, manage, and share various files via the 15 GB of free storage provided by Google. The real-time collaboration feature makes it easy for multiple people to work together on a single document, supporting coordination in education, work, and organizations. Furthermore, Google Drive's integration with other Google services such as Google Docs, Gmail, and Google Photos further enhances user productivity. Various benefits, such as document translation, PDF-to-text conversion, file backup, link storage, and WhatsApp chat backup, make this platform a complete digital storage solution. However, despite this convenience, security remains a major concern. The risk of data leaks, unauthorized access, and phishing attacks can occur if users do not properly understand privacy settings and access permissions. Therefore, digital literacy regarding cloud security needs to be improved. Overall, Google Drive plays a crucial role as a cloud computing service that supports efficient data storage and collaboration. When used properly, this platform can improve work effectiveness, accelerate information sharing, and support data management in the digital age.

Abstract

At MTs Alfaizin Percut Sei Tuan, the conventional exam process presents several challenges, such as excessive paper usage, increased risk of cheating, and lengthy correction times. This study aims to develop an Android-based exam application using the Couple Linear Congruential Generator (CLCG) method. This method generates pseudo-random numbers that randomize exam questions, allowing each participant to receive a different set of questions, ultimately minimizing cheating. The application was developed using a waterfall model approach in the software development process. Test results show that the application runs well on Android devices, making it easier for teachers to administer exams and speeding up the assessment process. This application can be an effective solution to support the digitalization of the exam system in schools.

Abstract

The graduation process at SMK Negeri 13 Medan has traditionally been conducted through teacher council meetings, where assessments are based on various, often subjective, aspects. Complexity arises because decisions must consider numerous variables—from program fulfillment, student attitudes and behaviors, fieldwork achievements, school exam scores, to cumulative final grades—making manual evaluations prone to inconsistencies and potential unfairness. To address these weaknesses, this study developed a Decision Support System (DSS) utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. AHP was chosen for its ability to formulate qualitative data into a quantitative scale, allowing each criterion to be compared systematically and measurably. The study used a sample of 66 students and assessed five main criteria relevant to determining graduation. The system output was a recommendation for graduation decisions grouped into three alternatives: "Graduate with Good Predicate," "Pass," and "Fail." It is hoped that the implementation of this AHP-based DSS will increase transparency and efficiency in decision-making, reduce subjectivity, and support a more consistent and equitable graduation process within the school environment.

Abstract

SMK Bina Satria Medan faces challenges in addressing the low level of student participation during the learning process, which directly affects academic achievement and their readiness to enter the workforce. One of the main obstacles encountered by the school is the absence of a structured system to analyze the factors contributing to student inactivity. Until now, the identification process has been conducted manually through teacher observations and subjective assessments, resulting in analyses that are often inaccurate and difficult to use as a basis for strategic decision-making. To address this issue, this study focuses on developing a Decision Support System (DSS) designed to assist the school in evaluating and determining the level of influence of various factors that contribute to student inactivity more objectively. The system assesses multiple aspects, including internal factors—such as motivation, learning interest, and discipline—as well as external factors, such as family support, economic conditions, and social environment. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is applied to weight and perform pairwise comparisons among criteria in order to determine the priority level of each contributing factor. Through the implementation of this system, the school is expected to obtain accurate and targeted recommendations for designing effective intervention strategies, such as strengthening counseling programs, enhancing student motivation, or innovating teaching methods. In this way, the DSS can play a significant role in improving student participation and supporting a more optimal and productive learning process.

Abstract

An orphanage is a social institution whose job is to provide care and guidance for children who do not have parents or come from poor families. Caregivers play a crucial role in fostering children's independence across emotional, behavioral, and moral dimensions. At Eben Heazer Orphanage, caregivers function as educators, mentors, and motivators. As educators, they instill ethical values and religious devotion; as mentors, they assist in discovering children's interests and talents; and as motivators, they encourage self-reliance. Nevertheless, the caregivers' contribution to developing children's independence remains suboptimal. Therefore, an evaluation of caregiver performance is essential to continually enhance services for the children. This evaluation not only enables management to assess the extent to which caregivers fulfill their duties but also provides a foundation for further training and development programs. In this way, the quality of care can be progressively improved to meet the children's needs. Furthermore, the application of technologies such as the K-Means algorithm supports transparency and objectivity in the assessment process, ensuring that each caregiver receives a fair evaluation based on actual performance. This initiative is expected to establish a more professional and measurable caregiving system at Eben Heazer Orphanage.
