Abstract

Adolescence is a period marked by significant emotional changes, making the ability to regulate emotions particularly important. Santri (Islamic boarding school students) who live in pesantren face various academic, social, and spiritual demands that can lead to emotional pressure. Therefore, appropriate strategies are needed to strengthen santri’s emotional regulation skills. This community service program aimed to enhance santri’s ability to regulate emotions by teaching dhikr using an Islamic psychology approach. The method employed was an educative–participatory approach that actively involved santri as participants. The activities were conducted in several sessions, including psychoeducation on emotional regulation, instruction and guided practice of dhikr, and reflection activities. Data were collected through observation, brief interviews, and questionnaires administered before and after the program. The results showed an increased understanding among santri regarding emotional regulation and the role of dhikr in maintaining emotional stability. In addition, santri demonstrated positive behavioral changes, becoming calmer, more focused, and better able to control their emotions in daily life at the pesantren. These findings indicate that dhikr education based on Islamic psychology is effective in supporting mental health and character development among santri.

Abstract

Mass protest provocation has become one of the most pressing challenges in maintaining social stability and public order in Indonesia. This phenomenon not only shapes public perception of demonstrations but also generates complex legal, social, and moral issues. Using an istislahi (public interest–oriented) framework, this study examines how the principle of maslahah can serve as a normative foundation for developing ethical and legal guidelines to prevent and mitigate provocation during demonstrations. Employing a library research method, this study explores relevant literature on mass action and contemporary Islamic legal thought to identify intersections between socio-political dynamics and maslahah-based legal constructions. The findings reveal that provocation within protests creates public harm (mafsadah) by triggering violence, damaging public property, and disrupting public order. The istislahi approach offers potential solutions through ethical protest guidelines, multidisciplinary collective ijtihad, and harmonization between Islamic legal values and public policy. Nevertheless, its implementation faces methodological, epistemic, institutional, and legitimacy challenges. This study highlights the urgency of integrating maslahah principles into public policy design to ensure that demonstrations remain safe, dignified, and free from provocation.

Abstract

Islamic business ethics is a set of normative principles derived from the Qur'an and Hadith that serve as guidelines for behavior in business activities. These principles emphasize the values of honesty, justice, trustworthiness, and responsibility in every business activity. The application of Islamic business ethics is believed to be oriented not only towards achieving economic profit but also to support sustainable business continuity. This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic business ethics on business continuity through a theoretical approach. The method used is descriptive qualitative with literature study techniques. The results of the study indicate that internalizing the values of Islamic business ethics can strengthen consumer trust, build a positive business image, and maintain long-term business sustainability. Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) producing traditional food products made from natural ingredients play an important role in the local economy and the preservation of traditional cuisine. However, most traditional food MSMEs are still run without comprehensive business feasibility analysis, so that business development is often not based on a systematic evaluation of market, technical, resource, and business risk aspects. The limited empirical studies that integrate non-financial feasibility aspects in household-scale traditional food MSMEs indicate a research gap. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the natural ingredient-based traditional food business Permen Santan Tagih through a business feasibility study approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with observation and in-depth interview techniques, supported by literature studies. The analysis was conducted on the aspects of market and marketing, technical and production, raw materials, human resources, and business risks. The results of the study indicate that the business has stable market opportunities, supported by a multi-channel marketing strategy and product differentiation, a production process that is consistent with natural raw materials, a relatively guaranteed availability of raw materials, and efficient workforce management. Business risks remain at a manageable level. Overall, the Tagih Coconut Candy business is considered feasible to operate and develop sustainably with strengthened production management, digital marketing, and business risk mitigation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation and role of teachers in enforcing human rights values (HAM) to students in schools. with a historical-normative approach through literature and document analysis, in order to trace the historical construction and normative meaning of human rights values. The results of the study are that the role of teachers is very important in addition to the role of the parents of the students themselves. Teachers have implemented the implementation of human rights values to students in learning well, teachers have provided students with good education, attention to students, facilitate learning, and care. And the role of teachers in enforcing human rights to students is to participate in learning, because learning can include human rights values, especially in civic education learning, which is expected to enable students to apply Pancasila values in life. Teachers must also have a dynamic nature and quickly follow the developments of the times so that students become good and smart citizens.

Abstract

The Simpang Elak area, Blang Mangat District, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh, is facing a chronic drainage crisis that disrupts its vital function as an alternative transportation route. The existing conventional drainage system has proven to be non-adaptive to local environmental characteristics and increasingly intense extreme rainfall patterns due to climate change, particularly problems caused by vegetation, waste, and soil that block nearly the entire drainage network. This study analyzes drainage system blockage issues in the Simpang Elak area, Blang Mangat, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh. The objective of the research is to identify the patterns, impacts, and mechanisms of multiple blockages that disrupt drainage performance. The method employed is direct field-based observational research conducted over eight weeks (November–December 2025) at five strategic observation points, focusing on documenting the types, locations, and frequency of blockages caused by vegetation, waste, and sedimentation. The results reveal three dominant blockage patterns: (1) invasive vegetation (particularly Pennisetum purpureum and Eichhornia crassipes) affecting 65% of observation points and reducing drainage capacity by 40–60%; (2) rapid accumulation of plastic waste at 85% of drainage inlets; and (3) soil and construction material sedimentation accumulating at a rate of 20–35 cm per month. The interaction of these three factors creates a synergistic effect that progressively exacerbates capacity reduction by up to 40–60% within 6–8 weeks, far exceeding the cumulative impact of each individual factor. This study concludes that the drainage system at the research site operates optimally for less than 25% of the conventional maintenance cycle (3–4 months). Reactive maintenance strategies and non-adaptive infrastructure design have been proven ineffective.

Abstract

The development of Islamic law in Indonesia represents a significant phenomenon reflecting the dynamic interaction between religious values, the national legal system, and the country’s socio-cultural context. The urgency of this research lies in the need to understand how Islamic law has adapted and transformed throughout Indonesia’s multicultural and pluralistic history. The main objective of this study is to analyze the evolution of Islamic law from the era of Islamic kingdoms to the post-reformation period, as well as to assess its contribution to the modern national legal system. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, using library research as the primary data collection technique, supported by content analysis of legal documents, academic literature, and historical records. The findings reveal that Islamic law in Indonesia has undergone a gradual process of integration—from a marginal position toward formal recognition within the national legal framework—aligned with the nation’s political and social transformations. This research contributes to strengthening the theory of legal integration and offers new insights into the relevance of Islamic law as a living law within the framework of Pancasila-based legal pluralism. In conclusion, Islamic law holds significant potential in shaping a fair and contextually grounded national legal system; however, further empirical research is needed to evaluate its practical implementation in contemporary socio-legal contexts.

Abstract

This article examines the thought of Mohammad Arkoun as one of the prominent figures in contemporary Islamic intellectual reform. The discussion focuses on three main aspects: Arkoun’s intellectual biography, his hermeneutical approach, and his project of critiquing Islamic reason as an effort toward epistemological reconstruction in Islam. Using a qualitative approach based on library research, this study analyzes Arkoun’s major works as well as relevant academic literature. The findings indicate that Arkoun’s intellectual background, shaped at the intersection of Islamic tradition and modern Western thought, led him to develop a critical hermeneutics that views the Qur’an and Islamic tradition as historical discourses open to reinterpretation. Arkoun’s critique of Islamic reason aims to expose the epistemological limitations of traditional Islamic thought, which tends to be normative and ideological. In the contemporary context, Arkoun’s ideas remain highly relevant as an attempt to reconstruct Islamic epistemology, foster a constructive dialogue between Islam and modernity, and offer a critical perspective on the ideologization of religion in political and social life. Thus, Arkoun’s thought contributes significantly to the development of Islamic studies that are more humanistic, reflective, and responsive to the challenges of the modern world.

Abstract

The development of digital communication technology has transformed the media consumption landscape in Indonesia, shifting the dominance of conventional media to internet-based platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. This study aims to analyze public perception of the digital entertainment platform Vindes, founded by Vincent Rompies and Deddy Mahendra Desta. Using a positivism paradigm with a descriptive quantitative method, this study measures two main dimensions of image: functional image (content quality, originality, consistency) and symbolic image (host personality, credibility, cultural values). Data were collected through an online survey of respondents meeting specific content exposure criteria. The research findings indicate that Vindes has successfully built a strong functional image through production quality equivalent to television standards and innovative (out-of-the-box) program concepts. Symbolically, the personas of Vincent and Desta create deep parasocial relationships with the audience, significantly strengthening brand loyalty. There is high alignment between the intended image by platform managers and the perceived image by the public. This study concludes that authenticity and interactivity are key to maintaining reputation in the new media era
