Abstract

Dodol Garut is a traditional culinary product of Garut Regency, West Java, which has held historical, economic, and cultural significance since 1926. Its natural-material packaging is a key element shaping the product's cultural identity. However, amid modernization and globalization, two interrelated phenomena have emerged: (1) a regeneration crisis among artisans threatening traditional knowledge continuity, and (2) a packaging degradation from natural to synthetic materials, eroding local wisdom values. This study employs a literature review method with a qualitative-descriptive approach and critical analysis of scholarly sources. The findings indicate that the packaging shift is not merely aesthetic, but reflects weakening intergenerational knowledge transmission and erosion of Sundanese visual cultural identity. Locally-based packaging innovation such as integration of Garutan batik motifs and MSME mentoring has proven to enhance competitiveness while preserving cultural identity. Comprehensive preservation strategies are needed, including local-wisdom-based education, UMKM designer collaboration, eco-friendly packaging evaluation, and government policies supporting traditional product authenticity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the experiences of the community in utilizing BPJS Kesehatan (BPJS Health) at public health centers (puskesmas) and hospitals in Palangkaraya City, based on interviews with patients and health service officers. A qualitative approach was used, applying in?depth interviews, and the data were analyzed thematically. The results show that BPJS Kesehatan is generally perceived to facilitate access to health services from a financial perspective, especially for people with limited income. Patients reported feeling more confident to seek care at puskesmas and hospitals because much of the cost is covered by the National Health Insurance program (JKN). In hospitals, patients are usually asked first whether they will use BPJS or pay privately, but the administrative procedures and queuing systems are often perceived as long and confusing. Some respondents also reported a lack of clarity regarding which services are covered by BPJS and which must be paid out of pocket. Overall, BPJS Kesehatan in Palangkaraya is considered to ease access to health services, but there is still a need for improvement in administrative systems, coordination among facilities, and public education so that BPJS utilization becomes more efficient and comfortable.

Abstract

Wajit Garut is a traditional food originating from Garut Regency, West Java, which has been produced for generations using local ingredients and wrapped in natural corn leaves as a marker of Sundanese cultural identity. In the face of modernization, changes in values between generations, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, two interrelated issues have emerged: (1) the challenge of regeneration that threatens the sustainability of traditional knowledge, and (2) the potential degradation of packaging from natural materials to synthetic materials that erode the values of local wisdom. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method through direct field observation and in-depth interviews with Ibu Dini, the founder and sole home-based wajit producer that has been operating since 2012 in Garut Regency. The results show that wajit production is highly dependent on certain irreplaceable ingredients, especially brown sugar from Bungbulang and traditional production techniques, with corn leaf packaging that has functions and cultural values that cannot be replaced by plastic. The challenge of regeneration is clearly evident even though Ibu Dini's children have begun to help and learn the production process, but the commitment to continue the business has not yet been formed. The study also confirmed that the performance of wajit (rice cake) MSMEs is influenced by product quality, innovation capacity, and local government support.

Abstract

General elections (Pemilu) are a crucial instrument in a democracy that adheres to a representative system. The election process must be conducted with transparency and freedom of expression. Elections should be conducted fairly and honestly, with each individual or community's political choices based on rational considerations and their conscience, not on any particular reward. However, the reality in Indonesia still shows the practice of risywah or the phenomenon of "Serangan Fajar," namely the giving of money or goods to voters before election day. This will certainly undermine democratic values and political integrity. This study aims to determine Generation Z's views on risywah practices in elections. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method through a questionnaire to Generation Z respondents (born between 1997 and 2007). The results showed that the majority of respondents (89%) had experienced risywah practices in their environment. Nevertheless, there is a high ethical awareness, with 95% of respondents expressing both pro and con attitudes towards money politics and agreeing that the practice violates religious norms and the principle of justice. This indicates that the Generation has a critical attitude and a positive tendency toward politics, especially regarding risywah violations, despite being exposed to widespread vote buying.

Abstract

Natural disasters are events that have multidimensional impacts on people’s lives. In addition to causing physical damage, economic losses, and disruption of social activities, disasters also give rise to serious psychological problems, especially for children. Children who experience disaster situations often face severe emotional stress due to their limited ability to understand and control the events they experience. The resulting psychological trauma may include prolonged fear, anxiety, sleep disorders, behavioral changes, decreased social interaction skills, and loss of a sense of security in daily life. If these conditions are not handled properly, they may affect children’s emotional, social, and educational development in the long term. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Didong Gayo play therapy based on local wisdom as a medium for trauma recovery among children after disasters. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that Didong Gayo play therapy was able to help children express emotions, reduce anxiety, increase their sense of security, and improve social relationships among children. Local cultural elements contained in Didong Gayo, such as music, poetry, rhythmic movements, and togetherness, had a positive influence on children’s psychological conditions. A local wisdom-based approach was also proven to be more easily accepted by the community because it aligns with local culture and social values

Abstract

Public transportation has become a strategic necessity in the City of Surabaya due to the increasing number of private vehicles. In response, the city government launched the Wira-Wiri Feeder Program integrated with the Suroboyo Bus system. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the program on Route FD8 (Osowilangun Terminal–UNESA) by applying Daniel Stufflebeam’s CIPP Evaluation Theory, which consists of Context, Input, Process, and Product. The research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that although the program is relevant to the need for improving accessibility, several issues remain in the input and process aspects, including the limited number of fleets (4 units), inadequate bus stop facilities, operational disruptions caused by traffic congestion and flooding, and service implementation that has not fully met the required standards. As a result, the program has only provided an affordable alternative mode of public transportation but has not significantly increased public interest in using Route FD8. The implications suggest the need for fleet renewal, improvement of bus stop facilities, strengthened operational supervision, and corridor mitigation strategies (traffic congestion and flooding) to ensure the service meets Minimum Service Standards and supports the shift from private vehicles to public transportation.

Abstract

Professional ethics in the accounting profession are crucial for accountants in managing financial matters to prevent unethical actions in the preparation and presentation of financial statements. However, in practice, many accountants still violate professional ethics due to individual materialistic motives, which are not in accordance with Islamic provisions and sharia principles. Therefore, this study aims to determine the level of awareness among Accounting students based on Islamic values as contained in Q.S. Al-Baqarah (2): 282–284 and the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which are derived from the Al-Qur'an. The research method used is descriptive statistics with a quantitative approach to examine the level of students’ awareness of accounting professional ethics based on Islamic sharia, using a closed-ended questionnaire as the instrument. The instrument testing results indicate that the data are valid and reliable. Statistical results show that students have a high level of awareness of professional ethics. This provides empirical evidence that the inclusion of ethical content in accounting education significantly influences the moral development of students.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of semantic analysis in modern Arabic vocabulary learning. The study aims to explain the role of semantics in helping learners understand the meaning of vocabulary accurately according to its context of use in modern communication. The research employed a qualitative approach using library research by collecting data from various journals, books, and scientific articles related to semantics and Arabic language learning. Data collection techniques were conducted through documentation studies, while data analysis used a descriptive-analytical method. The results of the study indicate that semantic analysis plays an important role in improving the understanding of modern Arabic vocabulary, especially in understanding lexical meanings, contextual meanings, synonyms, and changes in meaning caused by social, cultural, and digital technological developments. The semantic approach also helps learners use vocabulary in a more communicative, contextual, and modern-language-oriented manner. In addition, the application of digital media in vocabulary learning can support a more interactive understanding of meaning that is relevant to current communication needs. Therefore, semantic analysis becomes one of the effective approaches in improving the ability to understand and use modern Arabic vocabulary appropriately.
