Abstract

Insufficient breast milk production remains one of the obstacles to the success of exclusive breastfeeding. One of the local food ingredients widely used by the community to support breast milk production is katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynus). This study aims to analyze the utilization of katuk leaves as an herbal food to support breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers. The method used was a narrative literature review by examining three relevant articles regarding the effect of katuk leaves on breast milk production, the cultivation of katuk leaves as processed food ingredients, and the use of katuk as a herbal plant in the community. The results of the review indicate that katuk leaves have potential as a galactagogue because they contain compounds such as sterols, alkaloids, papaverine, flavonoids, vitamins, and minerals. Katuk leaves can also be processed into various forms, such as clear vegetable soup, decoctions, extracts, biscuits, and other food products. In addition, ethnobotanical studies show that the most common use of katuk leaves in the community is to promote breast milk production. Therefore, katuk leaves have the potential to be used as an herbal food to support breast milk production; however, their use should consider proper processing methods and safe consumption limits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic da'wah content on social media on Generation Z's understanding of Islam. A descriptive quantitative method was used by distributing questionnaires to 76 respondents aged 18–22 years from several universities. Validity testing showed that all 15 items were valid, while the reliability test produced a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.886, indicating excellent reliability. The findings reveal that Islamic da'wah content on social media positively affects understanding of faith, worship, and morality, and increases motivation to worship and improve daily behavior. However, respondents' ability to verify sources and religious references remains limited. Therefore, religious digital literacy should be strengthened so that Generation Z can use social media critically and gain a proper understanding of Islam.

Abstract

Palangka Raya, which is predominantly built on peatland areas, has a high level of vulnerability to forest and land fires (karhutla). The decline in groundwater levels during the dry season makes peat highly flammable, particularly during the occurrence of El Niño. Major fire events in 2015 (±402,779 ha) and 2019 (±343,353 ha), along with 902 hotspot detections in 2019, indicate that fire hazards in this region are recurring and persistent. This study aims to identify the level of peatland fire vulnerability in Bukit Tunggal Subdistrict, Jekan Raya District. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using secondary data obtained from government reports, hotspot data, and official statements. The findings show that Bukit Tunggal has a high level of vulnerability due to the dominance of peatland, land-use changes, and limited adaptive capacity. Therefore, this study recommends the implementation of integrated mitigation strategies, particularly through peat water management and strengthening community participation, in order to reduce fire risks at the local level.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education presents both opportunities and challenges, particularly in the context of university examinations. This study aims to analyze the frequency of AI usage by students during exams and its impact on academic ethics from the perspective of Islamic law. The research employed a quantitative associative approach using a survey method involving 50 university students who had used AI in examinations. The research instrument consisted of a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring two variables: frequency of AI usage (X) and students’ academic ethics from the perspective of Islamic law (Y). The findings indicate that the mean score for AI usage frequency was 23.34, while the mean score for academic ethics was 33.14. Regression analysis revealed an R Square value of 0.309 with a negative regression coefficient (-0.288), indicating a significant negative relationship between the frequency of AI usage and students’ academic ethics. The higher the frequency of AI usage in examinations, the lower the level of academic ethics from an Islamic legal perspective. From the standpoint of Islamic law, the unauthorized use of AI during examinations may fall under the category of tadl?s (deception) and academic dishonesty, which contradicts the principles of Sidq (honesty), amanah (trustworthiness), and the objectives of Islamic law. Although students demonstrate a relatively high awareness of academic ethics, increasing dependency on AI poses a risk of diminishing academic integrity. Therefore, a clear sharia-based framework is necessary to ensure that AI technology is utilized within ethical and Islamic boundaries while maintaining academic integrity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine product innovations involving processed moringa leaves developed by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at Rumah Kelor Anjani and to assess the role of these innovations in increasing consumer interest, particularly among the younger generation. A qualitative, descriptive approach was used to conduct this study. Data collection was conducted through in-depth online interviews with entrepreneurs who have been running their businesses since 2015. The research findings indicate that moringa leaves hold significant potential as a functional food ingredient; however, their use remains hindered by negative public perceptions and low levels of awareness. Product innovations, such as the development of moringa-based food and beverage products, the selection of more modern packaging, and adaptation to the consumption trends of the younger generation, have proven successful in increasing product appeal. Additionally, marketing strategies via social media are considered effective for reaching young consumers. Thus, product innovations targeting the preferences of the younger generation and public education are crucial for increasing the acceptance of moringa leaf-based products.

Abstract

The cultivation of discipline and responsibility is an essential aspect of character development among elementary school students. These values contribute to the formation of positive behaviors that support academic achievement and social life. Teachers play a strategic role in fostering character values through learning activities and daily habituation practices at school. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in instilling discipline and responsibility among students at SDN 020 Tambusai Utara. The research employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews with four teachers. The findings revealed that teachers promote discipline and responsibility through role modeling, habituation, the implementation of school and classroom rules, and positive reinforcement. Responsibility is developed through learning assignments, classroom duty schedules, maintaining school cleanliness, and carrying out simple classroom responsibilities. The study also identified several challenges faced by teachers, including differences in students’ characteristics, limited parental support, peer influence, and excessive use of digital devices. To address these challenges, teachers apply personal approaches, provide continuous guidance, and strengthen collaboration with parents. The findings indicate that the successful development of discipline and responsibility requires synergy among schools, families, and the wider community to support students’ positive character growth.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental period characterized by the process of identity formation. At the same time, the rapid advancement of digital technology and the increasing use of social media have created both opportunities and challenges for adolescents in developing their identities. This study aims to analyze the role of social media in adolescent identity formation and to identify the factors influencing identity development in the digital era. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a narrative literature review method. Data were collected through a document analysis of five national and international scientific articles selected based on relevance, publication recency, and alignment with the research topic. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify themes, patterns, and relationships among findings reported in the reviewed literature. The results indicate that social media serves as a platform for self-exploration, identity presentation, and social validation among adolescents. Identity formation is influenced by personal, interpersonal, motivational, and affective factors, while excessive and uncontrolled social media use may contribute to social comparison, pressure to present an idealized self-image, identity confusion, and various mental health concerns. Conversely, family support, peer relationships, and adequate digital literacy function as protective factors that promote healthy identity development. This study contributes to the advancement of developmental psychology literature on adolescent identity in the digital era and highlights the importance of guidance and digital literacy enhancement in supporting the development of positive and adaptive identities among adolescents.
