Abstract

This integrative review examines how work from anywhere (WFA) transforms modern family relations. Peer-reviewed studies on remote work, work-family boundaries, gendered household labor, parenting, and couple dynamics were synthesized, mainly from 2016-2025. Findings reveal a flexibility paradox. Reduced commuting and greater autonomy may increase family time, paternal involvement, and cooperative role-sharing. Yet overlapping work and home can intensify interruptions, extended availability, technostress, spatial conflict, and unequal care burdens. Outcomes depend on boundary control, workload, housing, childcare, gender norms, and organizational support. WFA should therefore be treated as a negotiated family arrangement, not only an individual employment benefit. Sustainable practice requires explicit household agreements, family-supportive work design, equitable care, and protected disconnection.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed social media into a platform for economic interaction and the formation of social relationships. One example is Facebook Buy and Sell Handphone Groups, which serve not only as transaction platforms but also as digital arenas for the formation of social capital. This study aims to analyze the formation of social capital within Facebook Buy and Sell Handphone Groups using the Critical Hacking Analysis (CHA) approach from the perspective of Pierre Bourdieu. This research employed a qualitative method with a Critical Hacking Analysis approach. Data were collected through digital observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving group administrators, sellers, buyers, and active group members. Data were analyzed using the three levels of Critical Hacking Analysis, namely discourse analysis, practice analysis, and structural analysis, complemented by Platform Resistance Analysis (PRA) and Algorithmic Power Mapping (APM). The findings indicate that Facebook Groups function as digital arenas where social capital is formed through trust, community norms, and social networks that support economic activities. Facebook's algorithm also influences information visibility and transaction opportunities, encouraging members to develop adaptive strategies such as building digital reputations, utilizing testimonials, and increasing user engagement. These findings demonstrate that the formation of social capital results from the interaction between habitus, various forms of capital, the digital arena, and the platform's algorithmic mechanisms that shape power relations within social media-based online trading communities.

Abstract

Hypertension was one of the most common health problems among older adults and could be influenced by various behavioral factors, including palm wine (tuak) consumption and smoking habits. This study aimed to determine the relationship between palm wine consumption behavior and smoking habits with blood pressure among older adults. An analytical survey with a cross-sectional design was conducted in Bakal Julu Village, Dairi Regency, in 2026. The study population consisted of 66 older adults aged 60 years and above, and all eligible participants were selected using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and blood pressure measurements. The data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between palm wine consumption behavior and blood pressure among older adults (p=0.014). In addition, smoking habits were significantly associated with blood pressure among older adults (p=0.001). The findings indicated that older adults with higher levels of palm wine consumption and smoking habits tended to have a higher prevalence of elevated blood pressure. It was concluded that palm wine consumption behavior and smoking habits were significantly related to blood pressure among older adults.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of customer loyalty at Furiex Store, a fashion micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) located in Cihampelas District, West Bandung Regency. Although Furiex Store has utilized TikTok as a promotional platform and gained considerable online popularity, this has not been sufficient to enhance customer loyalty. This study employed a quantitative approach using descriptive and verificative research methods. The descriptive analysis revealed that the TikTok Social Media Promotion variable obtained an average percentage score of 67.3%, Product Quality 65.1%, and Customer Loyalty 64.8%, all of which were classified as strong. The partial hypothesis test indicated that TikTok Social Media Promotion had a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty (t = 6.383; p < .001). Similarly, Product Quality had a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty (t = 3.577; p = .001). The simultaneous hypothesis test demonstrated that TikTok Social Media Promotion and Product Quality jointly had a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty (F = 35.198; p < .001). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.431 indicates that the two independent variables explained 43.1% of the variance in Customer Loyalty, while the remaining 56.9% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Furthermore, TikTok Social Media Promotion was identified as the most dominant factor influencing Customer Loyalty, with a standardized beta coefficient of 0.518, compared with Product Quality, which had a beta coefficient of 0.290.

Abstract

The coastal area of Sawang Beach in North Aceh has significant recreational potential but faces challenges such as coastal abrasion, tidal flooding, and spatial degradation caused by development patterns that turn away from the sea. This study aims to formulate strategies for recreational area development through the integration of the Biophilic District concept and Sustainable Eco-Resilient Waterfront. A qualitative descriptive method was employed using a case study approach and literature synthesis. The results indicate that spatial transformation toward a front-yard orientation with biophilic elements enhances human visual and emotional connections to the coastal environment. Resilience strategies are implemented through nature-based solutions, including mangrove belts and adaptive infrastructure, reinforced by placemaking principles rooted in local wisdom, which are projected to increase community activities by up to 45%. In conclusion, the integration of ecosystem protection and cultural preservation is essential for creating a resilient and sustainable coastal recreational area.

Abstract

The logistics industry plays a strategic role in supporting the smooth functioning of the national supply chain; however, it faces various risks that can impact operational effectiveness, service quality, and business continuity. As a logistics and shipping service provider in Indonesia, PT XYZ Tbk. encounters potential risks such as delivery delays, cargo damage, port operational disruptions, IT system failures, workplace accidents, and external factors like extreme weather and regulatory changes. This study aims to identify, analyze, and evaluate the logistics risks faced by PT XYZ Tbk. and to provide recommendations for risk treatment, guided by the ISO 31000:2018 standard. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method using a case study approach. Data were gathered through observation, interviews, documentation, and a literature review. The risk analysis process involved establishing the context, identifying risks, analyzing risks based on likelihood and impact, evaluating risks using a risk matrix, and formulating risk treatment recommendations in accordance with ISO 31000:2018 principles. Based on the analysis using the ISO 31000 approach and a risk matrix, it is concluded that PT XYZ Tbk. faces various risks in its logistics operations. The highest-rated risks include adverse weather, vessel delays, and port congestion. These risks significantly impact the smooth distribution of goods, operational costs, and customer satisfaction. Implementing structured risk management can assist the company in more effectively identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and controlling risks. Consequently, the company can enhance its operational resilience and competitiveness within the maritime logistics industry. Recommended risk treatment strategies include logistics digitalization via IoT and GPS tracking, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist in predicting potential delays, the implementation of an integrated risk dashboard, the development and implementation of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP), the strengthening of cybersecurity, personnel training programs, collaboration with ports and regulatory bodies, and the implementation of periodic risk monitoring and evaluation. This research is expected to contribute to PT XYZ Tbk. by enhancing the effectiveness of its logistics risk management and strengthening its operational resilience, while also serving as a reference for other logistics companies implementing ISO 31000:2018 as a risk management framework.

Abstract

This study examines how university students in Surabaya interpret zodiac horoscopes and how such beliefs impact their levels of religiosity. In the current era, the zodiac is no longer viewed merely as occult or mystical prophecy; instead, Generation Z largely understands it as a description of probabilities or tendencies regarding an individual's personality and psychology. Employing a descriptive qualitative method based on Husserl’s phenomenological approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with ten Surabaya students—comprising five Muslims, three Christians, one Catholic, and one Hindu. The findings reveal that the majority of students consume zodiac-related content via social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. They view the zodiac as a source of entertainment, a topic for social interaction, and a tool for self-reflection based on personality traits that resonate with their lives. However, despite the fact that their respective religions strictly forbid belief in fortune-telling, these students tend to compartmentalize their religious worship from the habit of reading horoscopes. They do not perceive believing in—or simply reading—horoscopes as a threat to their faith or religious observance. The study concludes that the prevalence of zodiac beliefs among university students represents a compromise between the search for self-identity in the digital age and a form of religious observance that is primarily formal and ritualistic.
