Abstract

The research aims to analyze the influence of liquidity, profitability, leverage and audit quality on earnings quality in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange for the 2020-2023 period. Important financial performance was re-examined due to inconsistencies in previous researchers' findings. Audit quality to prove the quality of the KAP which is classified as Big-4. The research sample was 13 companies using purposive sampling. Quantitative data types and secondary data sources with descriptive analysis, classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, and t test. Liquidity, profitability and audit quality have a positive effect on earnings quality, while leverage has a negative effect on earnings quality. The high level of liquidity and profitability ensures that the profits presented reflect actual financial conditions. Asset financing is greater capital than debt so it shows good performance. Big-4 KAPs have lower manipulation than non-big-4 KAPs so they are able to produce quality earnings information. Big-4 KAPs maintain a good reputation in the market and auditors do not want disciplinary sanctions and have better audit resources.

Abstract

Income distribution plays an important role in the economy in both conventional and Islamic economics. In conventional economics, income distribution often focuses on market efficiency, but this can lead to inequality and social disparities. In contrast, Islamic economics emphasizes the principles of justice, respect for the Shari'a, and equitable distribution of wealth, using instruments such as zakat, infaq, and waqf to reduce inequality and achieve social welfare. This study uses a literature review method, this study identifies the challenges faced in implementing both income distribution systems. The main challenges in conventional economics include economic inequality caused by unequal access to education and resources, while in Islamic economics, the challenges lie in the implementation of distribution mechanisms that are not yet optimal. This study concludes that although both face challenges, the Shari'a-based distribution system is more inclusive and oriented towards social welfare, making it a fairer alternative in the long run.

Abstract

Public skepticism about the relevance of Islamic boarding school graduates in the modern job market creates a gap between the traditional curriculum and the demands of economic independence. An applied educational transformation is urgently needed so that students become not only religious figures but also strong economic actors. This study aims to analyze strategies for empowering students based on agribusiness entrepreneurship and describe the profile of the "Influential Santri Generation" as an output of the integration of economic independence and da'wah values at the Fathul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Jombang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field case study type. The study was conducted for six months, from January to June 2025, located at the agribusiness business unit of the Fathul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Jombang. Data were collected from 25 respondents consisting of boarding school caretakers, business unit managers, and active students through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out inductively through data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results show that empowerment is carried out through systemic agribusiness technical training and strengthening business units with a fair profit-sharing model. Despite successfully improving practical competency and independent character, the study identified significant obstacles in the form of conventional business management and low digital technology literacy. However, this model has proven effective in forming a "Generation of Infa' Santri" who are economically competitive without abandoning their spiritual identity.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study explores the application of economic jihad in pesantren-based economic organizations and its impact on community empowerment and institutional governance. Due to the growing participation of pesantren in the Islamic economic system and the continuing lack of investigation into their economic practices, the subject is important. Background Problems: There is no study of how economic jihad is implemented across various pesantren governance models. The research question is: What does economic jihad mean, and how is it practiced in pesantren economic organizations?  Novelty: This work takes a comparative and analytical approach, in contrast to earlier descriptive investigations. The institutional variations of economic jihad and their consequences for governance and empowerment have not been sufficiently studied in any prior research. Research Methods: A qualitative comparative case study of two pesantren in Madura was done. Field observations and interviews were used to gather data, which was then analyzed to determine governance structures and economic behavior. Findings/Results: According to the study, economic jihad serves as a normative-economic framework that influences institutional behavior. Community empowerment is prioritized in a cooperative model, whereas institutional self-sufficiency is given more importance in a centralized model. The economic practices and social consequences are greatly impacted by the institutional structure. Conclusion: this study finds that in pesantren economic systems, integrating governance models improves sustainability and social effect. The major conclusion is that institutional design is essential to optimizing the effectiveness of economic jihad as a tool for governance and a method for empowering communities.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study aims to analyze the regulatory dynamics of Islamic banking and Islamic microfinance institutions (IMFIs) in Indonesia and to formulate a regulatory integration model that supports Islamic financial inclusion. Background Problems: This topic is important because the rapid development of the Islamic financial industry has not been accompanied by adequate regulatory harmonization, thereby hindering the establishment of an integrated and inclusive Islamic financial system. Novelty: This study offers novelty by proposing a regulatory integration model based on institutional harmonization, regulatory synchronization, and integrated supervision, which has rarely been discussed comprehensively in previous studies. Research Methods: This research employs a normative legal method with a qualitative approach through library research. The data were collected from laws and regulations, academic literature, and related documents, which were analyzed using statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The analytical framework is based on financial regulation theory and the maqashid sharia perspective emphasizing wealth protection, justice, and public welfare. Findings/Results: The findings reveal that Islamic banking operates under a more centralized and standardized regulatory framework supervised by the Financial Services Authority, while IMFIs are governed by a more complex and fragmented regulatory regime. This condition creates inconsistencies in supervision, prudential standards, Sharia compliance, and consumer protection, which contribute to the low level of Islamic financial inclusion. Conclusion: This study concludes that regulatory integration through institutional harmonization, regulatory synchronization, and strengthened integrated supervision is necessary to establish a more coherent, equitable, and inclusive Islamic financial system and to improve public access to Islamic financial services.

Abstract

Time keeps turning and times of economic crisis will continue to be repeated with various causes that may be different and require different solutions to problems. In Indonesia, at least three times have experienced crises, namely in 1998, 2008 and most recently in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Nobody expects an economic crisis anywhere and anytime. But on the other hand, Islamic banking again proves that the system used is truly resilient to crises, not just a theory and a coincidence because it has been proven three times through the economic crisis and the strength of Islamic banking is very strong to beat conventional banking.

The sample used in this study is Islamic Commercial Banks that have been registered in Indonesia with a research population of a number of 5 Sharia Bank. The author uses descriptive quantitative research methods with the variable Financing Deposit Ratio (FDR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results showed that the financing deposit ratio in Islamic commercial banks in the first and second quarters had an average increase, meaning that financial health declined along with government policy from implementing PSBB to New Normal. Meanwhile, in the third quarter it has experienced a decrease of close to 75% so that it can be concluded that financial health is more stable. The results show that non-performing financing at Islamic commercial banks tends to be more stable, so it can be said that Islamic Commercial Banks in the COVID-19 pandemic era tend to be healthy.

Abstract

Money is one of the pillars of the economy. Money facilitates the process of exchanging commodities and services. Every process of production and distribution must use money. Money has the main function as a medium of exchange, and is derived from other functions such as standard of value, store of value, unit of account. According to Taqiyuddin an-Nabhani, Islam has determined a fixed and standard unit of money in a distinctive form, namely gold and silver. Taqiyuddin normatively proves that money in Islam is gold and silver, or the monetary standard is gold and silver. Historically, it has been proven in history that the gold system is the longest-used currency in human history, and its application is always relevant under any circumstances. Meanwhile, politically, Taqiyuddin argued that the switch to the paper money system was a hoax for the purpose of imperialization.
