Abstract

Bullying is an intentional act intended to harm another person physically, verbally, or emotionally. Bullying can occur anywhere, including at school, in the workplace, and online. This study aims to understand bullying, its causes, its effects, and its prevention. This study employed a qualitative research method. The data collection technique used was a literature review. The collected data were then analyzed in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that bullying is caused by several factors, including peer group, family environment, and social status. This behavior also has negative effects, including impaired physical health, mental health problems, and the emergence of new bullies. Bullying behavior needs to be prevented, and solutions formulated, including implementing it wisely by utilizing technological advances, avoiding discriminatory attitudes, instilling compassion, socializing through songs, establishing firm regulations regarding bullying, educating perpetrators, providing protection, and taking firm action.

Abstract

Breast milk production during the postpartum period is a physiological phenomenon determined by the synergy of hormonal regulation, maternal psychological stability, and adequate nutritional intake. This community service activity (PkM) aimed to increase the use of katuk leaves as an effort to stimulate breast milk volume. The participants consisted of 12 postpartum mothers selected based on predetermined inclusion criteria. Breast milk production was measured based on observational results and mothers’ subjective reports. The implementation method used a pretest–posttest design. The results showed that before the intervention, 7 respondents (58.3%) experienced a decrease in breast milk production, and no respondents showed an increase. After being given katuk leaf intervention for a certain period, 5 participants (41.7%) experienced an increase in breast milk production, 4 participants (33.3%) experienced no change, and 3 participants (25.0%) experienced a decrease. The mean breast milk production score before the intervention was 2.58 (SD = 0.515) and decreased to 1.83 (SD = 0.835) after the intervention. These findings reinforce the role of katuk leaves as an effective lactagogue agent in stimulating increased breast milk volume in postpartum mothers and suggest that it can be used as a non-pharmacological alternative to support successful lactation.

Abstract

This Community Service program was conducted in Malawele Village, Aimas District, Sorong Regency, to empower farmers’ economic capacity through improvements in farming productivity, market integration, and strengthening of farmer group institutions. The target group of the activity was the Tunas Baru Farmer Group, whose members cultivate horticultural crops, particularly mustard greens and long beans. The program was implemented using a participatory and applicative approach, placing farmers as active subjects in all stages of the activity, including problem identification, counseling, technical training, marketing assistance, and institutional strengthening. The results of the program indicate an improvement in farmers’ knowledge and skills related to cultivation techniques, increased awareness of the importance of market access and collective marketing, and enhanced cooperation and participation within the farmer group. Furthermore, the strengthening of the Tunas Baru Farmer Group contributed to its role as a forum for joint decision-making and collective farm business planning. Overall, the Community Service activity demonstrated positive initial impacts on farmer economic empowerment and provided a foundation for sustainable horticulture-based local economic development in Malawele Village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of promotion on purchasing decisions on the e-commerce platform among FKIP Universitas Patompo students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a questionnaire survey with 60 respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple regression with the assistance of SPSS. The descriptive results indicate that both promotion and purchasing decisions fall into the medium to high category. The regression equation obtained was Y=5.642+0.766XY = 5.642 + 0.766XY=5.642+0.766X, with a positive regression coefficient of 0.766. The t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that promotion has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. The correlation coefficient (R) of 0.608 shows a moderately strong positive relationship, while the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.369 indicates that promotion explains 36.9% of the variation in purchasing decisions, while the remaining 63.1% is influenced by other factors beyond this study. The findings conclude that promotion plays an important role in encouraging students’ purchasing decisions on the e-commerce platform. These results support Kotler and Keller’s theory and are consistent with previous research regarding the importance of digital promotion in consumer behavior.

Abstract

Menstrual disorders in the form of dysmenorrhea are among the most common reproductive health problems experienced by adolescent girls and have an impact on learning activities, psychological well-being, and overall quality of life. Limited understanding, lack of open communication, and restricted access to youth-friendly health information are barriers to appropriate dysmenorrhea management. This community service program aimed to empower adolescent girls in managing menstrual disorders through complementary therapy based on therapeutic communication. The implementation method applied a community empowerment approach, with therapeutic communication as the primary method, consisting of the pre-interaction, orientation, working, and termination phases. Interventions were delivered through dialogic education, individual counseling, group education sessions, and guided practice of complementary therapies, including warm compresses and acupressure. Therapeutic communication techniques included empathy, active listening, emotional validation, reflection of feelings, clarification, and positive reinforcement. Educational leaflets were used to strengthen health messages. The results demonstrated the establishment of a therapeutic relationship between midwifery professional students and adolescent girls, increased feelings of safety and trust, improved understanding of dysmenorrhea, and enhanced ability among adolescents to independently practice warm compress and acupressure therapies.
