Abstract

Ergonomics is essential for work efficiency and productivity, and workplace noise significantly impacts health and comfort. To reduce interference, noise sources should be eliminated. According to PMK RI No.5 of 2018 concerning Occupational Safety and Health, control of the Work Environment can be carried out in five ways, namely elimination control, and noise sources. Power House PT ABC, an important part of the pharmaceutical company, provides electrical energy to support operational activities. Field studies show workers in the power house experience emotional disturbances, impaired concentration, and ringing in the ears due to noise. This study was conducted to determine the effect of noise on work productivity at Power House PT ABC.  The data collection technique carried out in this study is using primary data by making direct observations at the Power House of PT ABC. Noise data collection was carried out using a sound level meter (SLM) tool and using questionnaires to measure work productivity at the Power House PT ABC. The data analysis technique carried out in this study used a simple linear regression test. Data processing is carried out using IBM SPSS Statistics 26 Software. The results of this study stated that there was an influence of noise on productivity as much as 93.3% with a strong relationship in the correlation between variables used in the study. The results of the linear regression equation state that noise can reduce work productivity by a constant value of -0.235 and the regression coesient number obtained can be interpreted that any increase in noise can affect work productivity by 0.046

Abstract

PT Pesona Arnos Beton is a manufacturing company that produces paving products in Kedamean Hamlet, Karangandong District, Gresik Regency, East Java. The company produces 8 variants with different shapes and sizes. The company has a total of 5 paving machines with a total of 20 paving production workers. The production of paving in this company uses a make to stock system with a lead time so that there is more inventory and fast handling if there is an unexpected demand usually from a new housing project from the Gresik area and its surroundings that come directly to the factory, the level of inventory depends on the amount of paving made in each day. In this study the authors took the object of Workload Measurement Analysis with theiWorkload Analysis Method (WLA) in the Production section because this method is a suitable method to be used in measuring workload. Fromithe resulti of dataiprocessing, the minimum cost production capacity planning results are with production planning in a 6-month period using 20 workersiand producing 51150 paving pallets witia totalicost of Rp.462,861,000 per 6 months. Calculation of additional production capacity using overtime targets with an additional 1 working houriresulted inithe company incurring considerableicosts, where theicalculation results amounted to Rp.533,200,000 per 6 months

Abstract

The use of light fire extinguishers (APAR) is very important in preventing and handling fires. APAR is a tool designed to extinguish fires at an early stage, so as to prevent fires from becoming larger and more destructive. This research aims to identify the need for APARs in various types of buildings, including residential, office and industrial, as well as to develop guidelines for effective APAR placement and maintenance. The research results show that strategic placement of APARs, adequate training for residents or employees, and routine maintenance are the keys to successful use of APARs. In addition, the type and number of fire extinguishers required vary depending on the size and function of the building. It is hoped that the guidelines developed in this research can help building owners comply with fire safety standards and reduce the risk of loss due to fire

Abstract

Apart from causing losses to workers, work accidents will also result in budget losses for the company. This is caused by the K3 implementation system which is still not running within the company. The number of work accidents and various K3 threats in Indonesia is still quite high, various work accidents still often occur in the production process, especially in the manufacturing industry. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach through case studies. This research's data collection technique uses a questionnaire technique to obtain data. Based on the results obtained, the implementation of K3 in this research is with commitment from PT XYZ is a very important thing to be done by central management, then stated in the form of policies related to K3 to management at PT XYZ

Abstract

Analogue fuel motor engine power measurement device requires long computation time and low accuracy of measurement results. Innovation is needed by utilising digital technology using an automation system so that several variables are measured and computation can be done simultaneously so that it can shorten time and have high accuracy. The purpose of this research is to apply the Arduino microcontroller, speed sensor and weight sensor to the disc brake dynamometer. This research uses an experimental research method which is part of quantitative research, namely a study that makes an equipment installation or a form that describes completely about the system setting or more leads to analysis. The implementation of this research focuses on the use of the Arduino Uno microcontroller, speed sensor and weight sensor in measuring the torque and power of a 4-stroke petrol engine. The dependent variable in the form of load is generated by the braking load read by the load sensor (load cell) which is an independent variable taken from the engine speed of 1500 Rpm, 2000 Rpm, 2500 Rpm, 3000 Rpm and 3500 Rpm read by the speed sensor. The results showed that the rotation sensor and weight sensor were able to provide appropriate input to the Arduino microcontroller so that the reading results could be displayed properly on the monitor screen and in accordance with the expected results. The conclusion of this research is that the Arduino microcontroller, speed sensor and weight sensor have been successfully applied to the disc brake dynamometer which was originally operated analogously

Abstract

The health of the physical work environment is a crucial factor that influences employee productivity, comfort and well-being in the workplace. A healthy work environment not only improves work efficiency but also plays a role in reducing the risk of disease and injury. Physical aspects of the work environment, such as lighting, temperature, noise, air quality, and ergonomics, have a direct impact on the physical and mental condition of employees. Working environmental conditions such as heat, noise, lighting, temperature, humidity, vibration and others need to be studied to prevent mental and physical strain on employees. With a good understanding of the health of the work environment, companies can take the right steps to create a healthier and more productive work environment

Abstract

PT. Mitra Athmar Berkah is a company that produces wooden pallets. In 2022, this production reach 38.201 units. Over time, several problems have occurred, one of which is the occurrence of shortages of raw material inventory resulting in delays in the production process. The purpose of conducting this research is to produce planning for the raw material requirements for pallet. The method used in this study is Material Requirement Planning (MRP) with Lot sizing used, namely Lot for Lot (LFL), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and Period Order Quantity (POQ). The data processing and analysis results show that the chosen forecasting method is Exponential Smoothing , because the error values of MAD, MSE, and MAPE have the smallest error values compared to other forecasting methods. While the lot sizing on the MRP method chosen is the Lot for Lot (LFL) method because it produces a total inventory cost of IDR 420,080,525.00. The conclusion of this study is to obtain raw material requirements for the coming year and to know the optimal amount of inventory costs from the selected lot sizing

Abstract

UD Agung Barokah is a Small and Medium Enterprise (UKM) which produces red bricks. This UKM produces red bricks which are used for building construction such as housing walls, fences, warehouse walls and gutters. Labor is an important element in red brick production. To carry out production activities every day, the company must know the capacity of its employees because it has a big impact on the production process so that it is more optimal. The WLA method is used in analyzing labor needs to optimize the use of human resources. By calculating WLA, companies can measure the amount of labor needed to complete certain work. Meanwhile, aggregate planning is used to help companies plan production capacity to meet demand and according to existing capacity, with the lowest possible expenditure. The standard time for the process of making 1 unit of bricks which includes 5 divisions is 13.38 minutes. The initial workforce at the company was 10 workers, then data processing was carried out using the WorkLoad Analysis (WLA) method to fulfill the request obtained for 11 workers without doing overtime at a cost of Rp. 27,270,000,- with details from the division operator printing (O-1) only requires 1 worker. Meanwhile, calculations using capacity planning and production costs for the number of workers to meet demand produce results of 6 workers. The results after carrying out the labor planning calculations showed that the costs were IDR 23,566,000 and the labor costs before planning were IDR 25,200,000, in both calculations the labor costs were different.

Abstract

Production management is responsible for making smart decisions regarding the most suitable production strategy for the future, focusing on reducing costs as efficiently as possible while increasing profit potential. UD Inti Jaya is a business engaged in building, namely the manufacture of tile from clay. UD. Inti Jaya has used various different methods of production planning and raw material inventory management. In order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of production planning, the company has implemented several methods and techniques. First, the company uses the method of forecasting product demand for future periods. The results of this forecasting are used for production planning using aggregate planning methods, especially the Trial-and-Error method. To determine raw material needs, here the company uses the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to calculate raw material inventory needs with the aim of minimizing inventory costs. Results from the use of the EOQ method shows that the inventory cost of raw materials produced is smaller compared to the previous inventory policy used by the company. This indicates that the EOQ method provides better efficiency in raw material inventory management, reduces inventory costs and allows companies to have appropriate safety stock and reorder more effectively. Thus, the conclusion that can be drawn is that the application of the EOQ method in raw material inventory management provides better results, with lower inventory costs compared to previous policies implemented by the company. This illustrates that using the EOQ method can help companies in more efficient and effective inventory management.

Abstract

PT XYZ, located in ABC industrial area, Serang Regency, Banten, is a Masterbatch manufacturer in Indonesia that faces challenges in maintaining the quality of Masterbatch White, particularly related to color mismatch. This study aims to identify the largest defects, causal factors, and proposed improvements to reduce product defects using Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) and action plants with Design of experiment (Doe).  Through the analysis of Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Pareto Diagram, and Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) and action plant with Design of experiment (Doe), this study found two main factors causing defects. First, non-standard color with an RPN value of 638, which resulted from inappropriate material formulation. Improvement recommendations included material formulation adjustments for two suppliers: from China, with a composition of 70% pigment, 23% resin, and 7% additives and from Europe, with a composition of 70% pigment, 22% resin, and 8% additives. Second, the defect of inappropriate piece size with an RPN value of 378 is caused by blunt knives. To overcome this, it is recommended to change knives every 8 hours and preventive measures to maintain the condition of knives during the production process. These proposed improvements are expected to reduce product defects and improve the quality of Masterbatch White
