Abstract

In the digital era, the rapid advancement of information technology (IT) has become a critical element in supporting business operations. However, the use of IT also introduces risks such as operational disruptions, data security threats, and system failures. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of IT risk management at CV XYZ, a mineral water distribution company in Sumatra, using the COBIT 5 framework in the APO12 (Manage Risk) domain. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, including literature review, problem identification, data collection through interviews with company executives, and descriptive data analysis. The findings reveal that CV XYZ operates at Capability Level 2 (Managed Process) for the data collection and risk analysis subdomains, and Level 3 (Established Process) for the risk profile maintenance and mitigation action determination subdomains. However, the company requires further optimization to achieve Level 5 (Optimizing Process). Strategic recommendations include strengthening risk policies, enhancing human resource skills, maintaining IT infrastructure, and improving disaster recovery systems to support sustainable business operations

Abstract

In the rapidly developing digital era, technology can help a company improve efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness in business. PT QAM's purchasing information system still relies on simple computerization, namely recording, processing, and storing locally. Simple computerization that is implemented has the potential to reduce operational effectiveness in goods requests and goods purchase data collection. This study aims to develop a responsive web-based purchasing information system so that it can be accessed directly by staff through each staff's device, either via mobile phone or via computer. The methods applied in this study include system development using the iterative waterfall model and a web-based integrated system along with the use of the MySQL database as data storage, allowing real-time data collection of goods requests and purchases. In the development of this study, Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling was used. The implementation of this system is expected to be able to record data effectively, store data safely, and facilitate report printing. Thus, this system has the potential to increase the productivity and effectiveness of the company.

Abstract

Hydroponic methods are becoming increasingly popular as a modern agricultural solution, especially in urban areas with limited land. However, maintaining optimal environmental conditions is a major challenge in hydroponic systems. This study designs an Internet of Things (IoT)-based greenhouse monitoring system to improve the efficiency of plant monitoring and management. The system uses ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller, integrated with a DS18B20 sensor for temperature, a pH sensor, a TDS sensor for nutrient concentration, and a floater sensor to measure water level. Sensor data is transmitted in real-time via a WiFi network to a web-based monitoring platform, enabling more practical and accurate remote monitoring. The results indicate that this system can provide accurate information about plant environmental conditions and support automation in nutrient management and irrigation. Thus, this system offers an innovative solution for more efficient, controlled, and technology-based hydroponic farming.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has encouraged businesses, including automotive workshops, to optimize their operations. Bengkel Prima Motor, a motorcycle repair shop in Kalimantan Barat, still manually records sales transactions, leading to inefficiencies in inventory management and reporting. This study aims to develop a web-based sales information system to improve transaction efficiency and customer service. The research methodology includes observation, interviews, and literature studies, with system development using PHP and MySQL. The results indicate that the implementation of this system enhances operational efficiency, optimizes sales reporting, and improves customer experience. The system also supports better decision-making for inventory management.

Abstract

The preservation of regional languages, especially the Teochew dialect spoken in Pontianak City, Indonesia. Has been impacted by globalization and technological developments. Because of environmental forces that force them to adopt Indonesian, the younger generation hardly ever employs the Teochew dialect nowadays. The Teochew dialect risks extinction over time if it is not given proper consideration right now. The goal of this project is to create a Teochew digital dictionary application that can be utilized as a learning tool and is anticipated to help conserve the language in order solve these issues. The Binary Search technique was used in the design of the Teochew language dictionary application. By using the Binary Search method, a faster and more efficient word search can be ensured. In order to optimize the Binary Search, the dictionary database used provides essential Teochew language vocabulary that has been organized alphabetically. The test results show the Binary Search algorithm can recognize words more quickly than Sequential Search, so this makes it suitable for dictionary applications that require to find words more efficiently. It is expected that this application would serve as a means of education and aid in the preservation of Teochew culture and language.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengoptimalkan sistem pemesanan makanan serta proses pembayaran di toko KingFoodies agar lebih efisien dan praktis. Sistem yang dikembangkan memungkinkan pelanggan untuk melakukan pemesanan secara daring melalui platform berbasis web, yang terintegrasi dengan fitur pemindaian QR Code untuk mempercepat dan menyederhanakan proses transaksi. Selain itu, sistem ini juga dilengkapi dengan layanan payment gateway Midtrans, yang mendukung berbagai metode pembayaran non-tunai, seperti transfer bank, kartu kredit, dan dompet digital. Dengan adanya integrasi ini, pelanggan KingFoodies dapat melakukan pembayaran dengan lebih mudah, aman, dan fleksibel. Implementasi sistem ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan melalui pengalaman transaksi yang lebih cepat dan nyaman, tetapi juga mengurangi waktu yang dibutuhkan dalam proses pemesanan dan pembayaran. Selain itu, sistem ini membantu pihak toko dalam mengelola dan mencatat riwayat pesanan secara lebih akurat dan terorganisir, sehingga operasional bisnis dapat berjalan dengan lebih efektif.

Abstract

A self-sustaining, Internet of Things-integrated microalgae photobioreactor (PBR) is proposed in this study as an alternative to traditional household air purifying plants. In order to optimize microalgae development while reducing human involvement, the system combines a tubular PBR with an automatic water exchange mechanism and real-time IoT monitoring. CO₂-enriched air is continuously injected by an air bubbler, boosting photosynthesis and oxygen production. A drainage system eliminates extra water to preserve nutritional balance, and a water replenishment tank with a solenoid valve ensures controlled water exchange. Essential variables such as pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, and CO₂ concentration are monitored by the IoT system, which also provides alerts when maintenance is required. Purified air may naturally diffuse thanks to the passive air gap, which ensures continuous air filtration. By utilizing biotechnology and intelligent automation, this low-maintenance, sustainable system provides an efficient automated alternative for conventional plants in indoor air purification.

Abstract

Green Computing is a program based on an environmentally friendly concept that emphasizes the efficient use and management of computer technology, devices, and infrastructure by reducing excessive consumption and minimizing environmental waste. Serelo Lahat University (Unsela) is an institution that has gradually integrated Green Computing into its educational processes.The objective of this study is to describe the use of e-learning as an online learning method that supports the Green Computing concept and reduces paper consumption. The data collection methods employed include literature reviews, interviews, and observations. Data analysis is conducted using the Green Computing framework, which encompasses the concepts of green design, green use, strategies and policies, and green disposal.The analysis findings indicate that Unsela has implemented Green Design in its IT infrastructure, particularly with the establishment of a data center. Green Use is evident in the application of e-learning, where all learning and administrative processes are carried out digitally. Green Strategies and Policies are reflected in the top leadership of Unsela, who have established policies to reduce electricity consumption. Green Disposal is demonstrated through the practice of reusing hardware. In conclusion, it can be stated that Unsela has successfully implemented the Green Computing concept across all aspects.

Abstract

The Aloran Water Level Monitoring System was developed to enhance disaster preparedness by integrating real-time monitoring, data logging, and warning mechanisms. Utilizing ultrasonic sensors, Arduino UNO R3, and ESP8266 microcontrollers, the system measured water levels and transmitted data to a local web server. A GSM module sent real-time alerts, while warning lights activated at critical thresholds. Testing confirmed high accuracy in water level measurement, effective real-time data logging, and timely notifications, earning a 4.42 general weighted mean (“Very Good”). The system proved reliable and cost-effective for flood monitoring and disaster risk reduction. Recommendations include incorporating solar-powered modules for remote deployment, cloud-based servers for broader accessibility, and predictive analytics for improved flood forecasting.

Abstract

Literasi keuangan merupakan kemampuan untuk memahami dan mengelola keuangan secara efektif, yang sangat penting bagi keberlanjutan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan dan hambatan dalam implementasi literasi keuangan di kalangan UMKM di Kabupaten Pesawaran, Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam kepada pelaku UMKM serta analisis dokumentasi terkait program literasi keuangan yang telah diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama yang dihadapi UMKM dalam penerapan literasi keuangan meliputi rendahnya tingkat pendidikan keuangan, keterbatasan akses terhadap sumber informasi yang valid, dan kurangnya dukungan dari institusi keuangan. Keterbatasan modal, kurangnya pemanfaatan teknologi digital, dan kurangnya kesadaran akan pentingnya manajemen keuangan yang efektif adalah hambatan tambahan. Studi ini menyarankan peningkatan pelatihan keuangan berbasis komunitas, pembiayaan yang lebih luas, dan dukungan yang lebih besar dari pemerintah dan lembaga keuangan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman keuangan UMKM di Pesawaran.
