Abstract

The issue of waste remains a challenge due to the suboptimal sorting of waste at source, which results in the sorting process still being largely manual and inefficient. This study aims to design and implement an automatic waste sorting device capable of classifying metal, plastic, and paper waste using an Arduino Uno microcontroller. This system integrates an infrared sensor to detect the presence of waste, a capacitive proximity sensor as an initial detector, and an inductive proximity sensor for selective identification of metal waste. A servo motor is used to direct waste to the appropriate compartment, while an ultrasonic sensor monitors the capacity of the waste bin. Testing was conducted using 30 waste samples, with the system achieving an accuracy rate of 90%. These results indicate that the device operates reliably and effectively in performing automatic waste sorting.

Abstract

Puskopdit Handriya Sanggraha is a secondary cooperative tasked with monitoring the financial health of its member credit unions. Currently, the financial health assessment process using the PEARLS method (Protection, Effective Financial Structure, Asset Quality, Rates of Return and Costs, Liquidity, Signs of Growth) is conducted manually using separate spreadsheets. This process often leads to reporting delays, data input errors, and difficulties in real-time monitoring. For this reason, a web-based information system was built to automate PEARLS analysis so that it can centrally integrate the input of balance sheets, monthly data, and economic parameters. The development method used is Waterfall. The result of this research is a system that automates the calculation of 18 PEARLS indicators and presents financial health analysis results in real-time. The implementation of this system can increase reporting efficiency, calculation accuracy, and assist management in making strategic decisions based on valid cooperative health data.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement an automatic parking gate system based on the Internet of Things (IoT), which enables real-time access control and data logging. The proposed system integrates Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) for vehicle authentication, an ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller, and a cloud-based spreadsheet database for data storage. The research method uses a quantitative experimental approach through hardware and software implementation followed by functional testing. The system was evaluated by testing registered and unregistered RFID cards, gate opening and closing duration, vehicle detection, and real time data recording. Experimental results show that the system achieves 100% accuracy in access validation, where registered cards successfully open the gate, while unregistered cards are rejected and indicated by an audible alert. All access data are recorded reliably in real time. The results indicate that the proposed system is responsive, secure, and suitable for small- to medium-scale parking access management.

Abstract

The implementation of gamification elements on e-commerce platforms has continued to expand, however comprehensive mapping of dominant elements, implementation trends, and user impacts remains limited. Therefore, this study aims to identify the most frequently used gamification elements, analyze implementation trends, and examine their impacts on e-commerce users. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review of empirical articles published between 2021 and 2026, retrieved from Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, Emerald Insight, and Google Scholar, resulting in 25 selected articles. The synthesis results indicate that points/coins and rewards are the most dominant elements, supported by leaderboards and challenges, while immersive elements remain relatively underutilized. Furthermore, customer engagement emerges as the most frequently examined outcome, while customer loyalty and repurchase intention are also reported as important outcomes in previous studies. These findings suggest that current e-commerce gamification primarily focuses on enhancing user engagement rather than developing sustainable user experiences.
