Abstract

This study aimed to explore the role of young Muslim consumer satisfaction as well as its antecedents and consequences. The sample study was 100 Muslim respondents who visited fast food restaurants at least twice last month and were 18-25 years old. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire survey around the city of Manado. The analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Model with Partial Least Square. The results showed that halal labelling, perceived price, product quality, and satisfaction directly affected loyalty. The indirect effect shows that perceived price does not significantly influence loyalty through satisfaction. The results of this study prove that the relationship between young Muslim consumers' satisfaction with the halal label and product quality can strengthen their commitment

Abstract

This research aims to trace and analyze how negative sentiments towards Rohingya refugees are disseminated on Social Media Platform X. This phenomenon is increasingly concerning as it involves not only negative sentiments but also the spread of hoaxes that can lead to discrimination and hatred. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analysis method, focusing on content analysis of hate narratives emerging on Social Media Platform X. Collected data include comments, posts, and various forms of negative content targeting Rohingya refugees. I argue that hate speech towards Rohingya refugees tends to originate from anonymous fanbase accounts. The negative narratives from these accounts successfully shape public opinion and cultivate a xenophobic attitude among Indonesian netizens on Social Media Platform X. Furthermore, this hate speech contributes to the creation of a double standard between the issues of Palestine and Rohingya on Social Media Platform X, potentially influencing society's perception and attitude towards both issues.

Abstract

This article addresses a notable gap in the existing scholarly discourse on Islamic ethics by investigating the dissemination of ecological perspectives within the digital realm, with a specific focus on two prominent exceptions in the Indonesian online Islamic sphere: islami.co and alif.id. While the broader academic attention to Islamic ethics and ecology has been extensive, there has been a lack of exploration into the strategies employed by digital platforms to propagate ecological perspectives. Concurrently, prevailing Islamic websites tend to prioritize contemporary Islamic laws and modernity, emphasizing concerns predominantly related to humanity rather than ecological matters. The research illuminates how islami.co and alif.id distinguish themselves by significantly emphasizing ecological issues, providing substantial content dedicated to addressing contemporary ecological challenges. By employing framing and representation theory as its analytical framework, the article contends that these Islamic portals have demonstrated a proactive emphasis on ecological issues since the period of 2019-2020, coinciding with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research elucidates how islami.co and alif.id integrate Islamic theological foundations to the narrative of ecological concerns, while at the same time, they attempt to represent an emphasized nuance of cultural and ecological agencies in maintaining the issue of contemporary ecology

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the fashion trends of millennial Muslim women from conservative to modern perspectives within the framework of religion in Indonesia. The backdrop of this research is the ongoing discourse between groups that argue that millennial Muslimah fashion should adhere to Islamic Sharia principles and those advocating for a more modern and stylish representation of Islamic identity to the general public. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) indexed in Scopus using the Watase Uake tool, Publish or Perrish, publications from international journals such as Springer and Taylor and Francis, and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) technique, narrowing down from 281 articles to 16 selected as research data. Millennial Muslimah fashion in Indonesia has undergone evolution from its introduction to innovation. Initially faced with hierarchy and prohibitions, it has now transformed into a stylish trend reflecting piety, innovation, and global influences. This transformation is influenced by the conflicting paradigms of right-wing and left-wing Islam, leading towards a moderate Islamic stance. A new identity for millennial Muslimah fashion has emerged through phenomena like hijabers, hijrah groups, and pop culture, creating a style that combines Islamic values with contemporary trends.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the process of hijra among young people. The study was in the BARLINGMASCAKEB area (Banjarnegara, Purbalingga, Banyumas, and Cilacap). The study subjects were carried out by purposive sampling individuals who hijra online or offline (outside the network). Data collection techniques are carried out by structured interviews with research subjects and strengthened by a literature review and data analysis techniques by reducing data, classifying data, interpreting, and drawing conclusions. The data obtained are presented as narrative text, tables, and charts. Testing the validity of the data is carried out by the data triangulation method. The results showed that the hijra process consists of two types: self-taught and through institutions. Most hijra practitioners who learn self-taught are accomplished online, while the rest learn offline and a combination of online and offline. Hijra perpetrators carry out a face-to-face direct process with the ustadz / ustadzah and the hijra community while actively accessing hijra and religious content through online recitation or joining social media channels. The second process in hijra is studying directly at religious institutions following the manhaj. They study religion at religious institutions to get precise knowledge and be more methodical to avoid misunderstanding religious teachings.

Abstract

This article aims to illustrate the power of Ramadan as a social space where the Muslim community can reproduce piety. Data were obtained through interviews, documentation, and surveys. The findings of this study highlight two important aspects that characteristically mark Ramadan as a social space. First, Ramadan has become a social arena for Muslims where piety and generosity suddenly emerge as identities continually contested by Muslims. Second, the sudden social patterns of piety and generosity observed among Muslims during Ramadan are shaped by the intersection of religion and local traditions such as padusan and balimau, nyadran and ziarah kubro, along with perlon unggahan and magengan. Therefore, with these findings, we assert that Ramadan not only functions as a social arena but also becomes a third space where society blends religion and tradition, simultaneously strengthening their identity and social status throughout the month of Ramadan
