Abstract

This study aims to find out how the results of the development of the e-module are to determine the feasibility of the phet virtual laboratory-assisted e-module based on material experts, and media experts, and to find out the practicality of the phet virtual laboratory-assisted e-module based on the responses of students and physics teachers . The type of research used is research and development (R&D). The research model developed is ADDIE (Analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The subjects in this study were all 37 students of class XI IPA at SMA PAB 4 Sampali. Based on the results of the trials that have been carried out, validation results are obtained from material experts with an average percentage score of 93% which is categorized as very feasible, while from the validation results of media experts with an average percentage score of 94% so that it is categorized as very feasible. Then to find out practicality can be seen from the percentage of scores on the response questionnaire of students who obtained a percentage score of 85%, while for the results the percentage score for physics teachers was 90%, so that overall the e-modules that have been developed are in the very practical category.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a physics test instrument based on scientific literacy PISA (Program for International Student Assessment). Development of test instruments using 4D models (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). The test instrument was tested by expert validity with a CVI score of 1. The test instrument tested involved 130 participants. The results of the item validity test showed that the 20 items tested were valid with a Cronbach Alpha reliability value of 0.816 ("very good" category). The discrimination power test results showed that the developed items are in the "good" and "very good" categories. The results of the difficulty level test showed that there was one difficult item, 11 medium questions, and eight easy questions. This research shows that the physics science literacy skills of students who participate in this research show that students achieve good scores on average. Students who participated in this research had the highest achievement in the competence of evaluation and design of scientific investigations and had the same achievement in both the content and the procedural knowledge aspects

Abstract

This research objective are to know the effectiveness of the implementation of cooperative learning model type group investigation using brainstorming methods to improve student learning outcomes in sound waves material. This research method is quasi-experiment with the design of two group pretest and posttest. The Population of this study were all class XI SMA N 1 Tebing Tinggi A.Y 2018/2019. The study sample was taken by class random sampling technique consisting of two classes, namely the experimental class applied cooperative learning model type group investigation using brainstorming method, and the control class applied conventional learning models, each class as many as 36 students. This research data was obtained by using instruments in the form of 10 questions essay tests and activity observations. The results of the data analysis obtained the average value of the experimental class pretest was 30.18 with a standard deviation of 7.76 and the average value of the control class pretest was 33.70 with a standard deviation of 7.91. In the normality and homogeneity tests both classes were normally distributed and homogeneous. The pretest t test results obtained tcount < ttable = 1.92 < 1.99, then H0 is accepted, meaning that both classes have the same initial ability. After being given different treatments, the posttest results were obtained with the results of the experimental class averages 68.61 with a standard deviation of 10.64 and a control class 61.75 with a standard deviation of 8.26. The results of the posttest t test were obtained tcount > ttable = 2.94>1.99 so that Ha is accepted, then the implementation of cooperative learning model type group investigation using brainstorming method can significantly improve student learning outcomes on sound waves topic in Class XI SMA N 1 Tebing Tinggi Academic Year 2018/2019.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the Inquiry Training Model on students' critical thinking skills. This research design uses two group pretest-posttest technique. All of Student Class X in SMA Negeri 1 Stabat was the population of this research. Then two classes were selected as samples of the study, one class as an experimental class is taught using the Inquiry Training learning model while the other class as a control is taught using a conventional learning model. The research data collection instrument was in the form of 5 validated essay tests which would later be analyzed using the t test. The results of the study indicate that the inquiry training learning model has a significant impact on increasing students' critical thinking skills compared to students learning with conventional models on momentum and impulse material. Keywords: Inquiry Training, Critical Thinking Skill, Momentum and Impulse
