Abstract

Pregnancy fatigue and anemia are common conditions in pregnant women in the second trimester and can increase the risk of maternal and fetal complications. Dates (Phoenix dactylifera) contain iron, folic acid, vitamin B complex, and natural sugars that have the potential to increase hemoglobin levels and energy metabolism. This study aims to analyze the efficacy of date consumption in overcoming gestational fatigue and anemia in pregnant women in the second trimester. The study used a literature review method by examining scientific articles from 2020–2025 obtained from the PubMed and Google Scholar databases. The study population consisted of articles related to date consumption, gestational fatigue, anemia, and pregnant women, with a sample of 12 articles consisting of 6 national journals and 6 international journals. The research instrument used a literature review sheet and data analysis was carried out descriptively through synthesis of research results. The results showed that consuming 6–7 dates (70–100 grams) per day for at least 14 days can increase hemoglobin levels by 0.965–2.3 g/dL and improve labor parameters related to reduced fatigue. The combination of dates and iron supplements has been shown to be more effective than iron supplements alone. In conclusion, dates are an effective and safe non-pharmacological intervention to help treat anemia and fatigue in pregnant women.

Abstract

Increasing antibiotic resistance in Gram-positive bacteria is driving the development of alternative antibacterial agents based on natural ingredients. Beetroot ( Beta vulgaris L. ) is known to contain betalain and phenol that have antibacterial potential. This study aims to analyze the antibacterial activity of Beet extract against Gram-positive bacteria and evaluate the effect of concentrations, solvents, and testing methods based on the literature during the period 2016–2026. Systematic Literature Review was conducted using the PRISMA protocol through literature searches on Publish or Perish, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and DOAJ databases. A total of 20 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed based on the value of the inhibition zone diameter (ZI) and the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC). Beet extract showed antibacterial activity against various Gram-positive bacteria, one of which was Staphylococcus aureus with an inhibition zone range of <5–25 mm and a MIC of 0.012–32 mg/mL. Ethanol is the most widely used solvent, while the agar well diffusion method tends to produce a larger inhibition zone than disc diffusion. Beet tuber extract has the potential to be developed as a natural antibacterial source against various Gram-positive bacteria.

Abstract

Drug logistics is a process intended to achieve a specific goal that is carried out effectively and efficiently in the management of drugs to achieve predetermined objectives. The purpose of this study was to analyze drug management at the Mauk Community Health Center based on the guidelines of Ministry of Health Regulation No. 74 of 2016 and to analyze the factors that influence drug stagnation and stockouts at the Mauk Community Health Center. This study was a non-experimental, descriptive study using a cross-sectional observational method. The results of this study show that drug management at the Mauk Community Health Center UPTD is in accordance with the requirements of the 2016 Minister of Health Regulation No. 74 concerning pharmaceutical service standards at community health centers. However, there are still several obstacles in its implementation. One of the main obstacles is the length of time required for the procurement of drugs and disposable medical supplies. The conclusion of this study shows that stagnation and stockouts at the Mauk Community Health Center UPTD are caused by poor implementation of drug requests, as evidenced by only 22% of drug requests matching drug receipts and 78% of drug receipts not matching drug requests, as well as drug shortages or limitations from the Health Office, resulting in a mismatch between drug requests and drug receipts.

Abstract

Posyandu (Integrated Health Post) is a form of Community-Based Health Effort (UKBM) that plays a crucial role in improving public health. The success of Posyandu activities is greatly influenced by the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure and the active participation of the community as the target of health services. This study aims to analyze the availability of Posyandu facilities and infrastructure and their influence on the participation of health service targets in Sukadana Village, Terara District, East Lombok Regency. This study used descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants consisted of Posyandu cadre leaders, cadres, and related parties who support the implementation of health services. The results showed that the main Posyandu facilities and infrastructure, such as baby scales, digital scales, and height measuring devices, were available and still suitable for use. However, there were still limitations in supporting facilities such as service tables and chairs. The availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure influenced the smooth running of health services and the level of community participation. The low participation of some targets was influenced by busy factors, health conditions, and limited time and mobility. Therefore, ongoing support from village governments and health workers is needed to improve the quality of facilities, the capacity of cadres, and community participation in integrated health post activities.
