Abstract

Parabuangan is a typical dessert from the Kurai region of Bukittinggi, which has strong cultural and customary values in Minangkabau society. However, along with the times, the younger generation, especially Generation Z, is increasingly less familiar with the existence and meaning of this parabuangan. This research aims to design a illustration book as a medium for education and preservation of Kurai's typical parabuangan culture with an attractive and interactive visual communication design approach. The design method used is the Glass Box method which includes the stages of preparation, incubation, lumination, and verification. Data was collected through observation, interviews with traditional leaders, and literature study. The results show that colourful and interactive illustrative designs can increase the younger generation's interest in traditional culinary culture. Expert validation and feasibility testing to the target audience showed that this book is well received and has the potential to be an effective educational media. The implication of this design is the importance of innovation in preserving local culture through a visual approach that suits the characteristics of today's young generation.

Abstract

The research on the Abdul Haris Nasution Road Redesign provides an in-depth insight into the required pavement thickness, which varies depending on the type of pavement applied. In this analysis, flexible pavement requires a more complex structure, consisting of a 15 cm thick surface layer, a 20 cm thick top foundation layer, and a 10 cm thick bottom foundation layer. The thickness is designed to effectively distribute the weight of the traffic load, thereby reducing the risk of damage to the road surface. For rigid pavement, the analysis shows that the required structure is simpler. Only a 20 cm thick concrete surface layer and a 10 cm thick lower foundation layer are required. This rigid pavement construction has advantages in terms of durability and the ability to withstand higher traffic loads, making it a more efficient option for the traffic conditions on Jalan Abdul Haris Nasution. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the most suitable construction type for Jalan Abdul Haris Nasution is rigid pavement. This assessment is based on the road classification, road function, and existing traffic conditions. Rigid pavement not only meets technical requirements, but provides economic and operational benefits in the long term. As such, this research provides an important reference in planning and developing more efficient and sustainable road infrastructure in the future.

Abstract

Indonesia as a democratic country rich in diversity, requires a deliberative approach in social interactions to reach agreements and overcome differences. Consensus deliberation not only functions as a method of decision making, but also as a means of developing students' social skills, such as communication and empathy. This article aims to analyze the existence of PAK teachers in strengthening the value of deliberation and consensus among students in schools. The method used is qualitative, where data/information collection is obtained from interviews, observation and literature study. Data analyzed in a reduced manner revealed the results of the study that there are three main roles of PAK teachers through the learning process in schools, including: instilling the importance of deliberation which can be applied through direct teaching, contextualization, and as a discussion facilitator. The application of the value of deliberation and consensus by PAK teachers contributes to academic understanding and the formation of student character. There is a need to develop skills by PAK teachers in facilitating discussions and creating inclusive activities, so that students can experience the real benefits of consensus deliberation in everyday life. With the spirit of upholding mutual deliberation in various school activities, PAK teachers have trained students to be open through conducive communication and willing to accept various forms of differences of opinion so that every decision made is the result of mutual agreement.

Abstract

The rapidly developing and dynamic modern era has also presented various ideologies and behaviors that have caused many people to begin to doubt the existence of God in the universe. This condition also has its own influence on Christian families whose children no longer have high enthusiasm in efforts to strengthen their spirituality, so that practical atheistic behavior or attitudes that no longer view religion and spirituality as important elements in human life often emerge. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of Christian parents in anticipating practical atheistic behavior for the family. The research method applied is literature study and analysis by reduction. The research results explain, Parents have an important role and responsibility in the family, including having awareness in seeking education in such a way as to strengthen the spirituality of each family member to be obedient and believe in God. The example of parents who consistently embody their faith through their daily behavior in the family can encourage children to imitate it without feeling burdened/forced. Christian parents must be able to create a family whose character is in accordance with Christian values, so that it cannot be influenced by heretical ideologies and practical atheistic behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an analog meat product made from a combination of gluten and red bean puree (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), while evaluating its organoleptic properties as a plant-based protein consumption alternative. With rising prices of animal-derived meat and increasing awareness of health and environmental sustainability issues, analog meat offers a solution to satisfy nutritional needs without compromising the taste and experience of consuming actual meat. The research process begins with the selection of raw materials and appropriate processing methods; gluten is chosen for its elastic properties that mimic meat texture, while red beans provide a better taste and nutritional value. Evaluation is conducted through sensory tests on panelists for various parameters such as shape, color, aroma, taste, and texture. Additionally, proximate analysis is performed to measure the moisture content, protein, fat, ash, and crude fiber of the produced product. The research findings indicate that a combination ratio of 50% gluten and 50% red bean puree yields protein content comparable to conventional meat and a lower fat content, making it a healthier option. Panelists also provide positive feedback regarding the taste and texture of the product, with no significant differences among treatments. Therefore, the results of this research are anticipated to contribute to the development of more innovative and nutritious plant-based food products, as well as raise public awareness of the importance of diversifying food consumption towards healthier and sustainable choices.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought about significant changes in modern organizational practices, particularly in data-driven decision-making and the enhancement of operational efficiency. Nevertheless, this development has also generated various ethical issues, such as algorithmic bias, limited transparency, and concerns regarding accountability. This study aims to conceptually examine the role of ethical leadership in directing the responsible use of AI within organizations. The study employs an integrative literature review approach through the review of relevant scholarly literature, involving systematic search procedures, selection based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and analysis using content analysis, thematic analysis, and conceptual synthesis. The findings reveal that ethical leadership functions as an important normative mechanism in ensuring that AI implementation remains aligned with the principles of fairness, transparency, and social responsibility. In addition, the findings indicate that the success of AI governance is not determined solely by technical dimensions, but depends heavily on leadership capacity to manage ethical risks and build stakeholders’ trust. This study offers a conceptual contribution by integrating ethical leadership and AI governance into a coherent analytical framework, while also providing practical implications for organizations in designing AI strategies that are both sustainable and ethically responsible.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought fundamental changes to how organizations operate, particularly in leadership practices across education and business sectors. This transformation requires leaders not only to understand emerging technologies but also to effectively manage their strategic, ethical, and operational implications. This study aims to examine the future of leadership in the era of Generative AI by identifying the key challenges, risks, and opportunities that arise within modern organizational contexts. The research adopts an integrative literature review approach, synthesizing empirical and conceptual findings from reputable academic publications over the past five years. The analysis is conducted through a systematic selection of literature and thematic analysis to identify dominant patterns and trends in prior studies. The findings reveal that leadership in the era of Generative AI is shifting toward a more adaptive, collaborative, and data-driven model. Major challenges include technological complexity, limited digital competencies, and organizational resistance to change. The associated risks involve algorithmic bias, ethical concerns, as well as data security and privacy issues. Conversely, the opportunities include enhanced operational efficiency, accelerated innovation, and improved quality of data-driven decision-making. This study contributes by providing a conceptual synthesis that integrates leadership and technological perspectives, while offering practical implications for leaders in designing adaptive, ethical, and sustainable strategies to navigate AI-driven digital transformation.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology in education have encouraged various learning innovations that enhance student engagement and motivation, including gamification. However, low motivation among junior high school students in conventional learning highlights the need for more interactive strategies aligned with the characteristics of the digital generation. This study aims to analyze the impact of gamification on students’ learning motivation, identify effective implementation forms, and examine factors influencing its success. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review method based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) workflow. Data were obtained from Google Scholar, ERIC, and SINTA databases, covering publications from 2021 to 2026. From approximately 200 identified articles, 10 key articles were selected through inclusion and exclusion criteria and analyzed in depth. The results show that gamification positively affects students’ learning motivation, as reflected in increased participation, enthusiasm, engagement, self-confidence, and enjoyable learning experiences. Its effectiveness is influenced by instructional design quality, challenge level, feedback systems, media usability, and educators’ readiness to integrate technology. Thus, gamification is a relevant innovative strategy for improving junior high school learning quality.
