Abstract

This study comprehensively analyzes the implementation of gender equality in Indonesian basic education. Its objectives are to identify challenges, review relevant government policies, explore implemented best practices, and measure their impact on student character development and sustainable development achievements. The research method employs a qualitative approach, based on a comprehensive analysis of academic literature, research reports, and relevant government policy documents. Findings indicate that despite strong legal frameworks guaranteeing gender equality, implementation in basic education faces crucial challenges. These include gender bias in curriculum and teaching materials, discrimination in educational access exacerbated by economic and cultural factors, the pervasive influence of patriarchal culture, and a lack of teacher understanding regarding gender bias. However, programs like Gender-Responsive Schools (SRG) and non-formal education institutions (PKBM) demonstrate promising practices in addressing these challenges. The positive impacts observed include changes in student mindset and behavior (increased empathy and respect), enhanced female participation and confidence, and significant contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In conclusion, while challenges persist, planned and collaborative interventions among government, schools, teachers, and parents are crucial for realizing fair and inclusive education for all children.

Abstract

Science education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) plays an important role in shaping the character and competencies of the 21st century based on Islamic values. However, science learning in MI is still dominated by conventional methods that have not integrated spiritual and technological valueoptimally. This study aims to analyze the integration of the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach with the values of the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Student Profile (PPRA) in science learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The aspects analyzed include the use of the TPACK approach in science learning, instilling PPRA values, the urgency of instilling PPRA values in MI, strategies for instilling PPRA values in MI, integration between the TPACK model and instilling PPRA values in science learning in MI, and the synergy between the two. This study uses a literature study method by reviewing relevant scientific sources and policy documents. The results of the study indicate that the TPACK model that combines content knowledge, pedagogy, and technology is able to create interactive and meaningful science learning. Meanwhile, PPRA values such as faith, noble morals, religious moderation, love for the environment, and social responsibility provide a character dimension that enriches the learning process. The synergy between TPACK and PPRA is believed to be able to create a holistic learning experience that not only enriches students' intellectual intelligence, but also strengthens their spirituality and social awareness. This study recommends the development of a science learning strategy in MI that is technology-based, contextual, and has Islamic values as an effort to realize transformative madrasah education and rahmatan lil alamin.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and a multi-structural society full of diversity, the relationship between science and religion is crucial in forming social and spiritual harmony. This article discusses how harmonization between science and religion can be realized in a pluralistic society that is vulnerable to identity conflict, discrimination, and intolerance. Through a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature studies, this article examines the views of thinkers such as Stephen Jay Gould, Ian Barbour, and M. Amin Abdullah, who support an integrative and dialogical model between science and religion. It is emphasized that science answers “how” the world works, while religion answers “why” life is meaningful. This study also formulates concrete strategies such as the development of an integrative curriculum, technology-based education, religious moderation classes, and socio-educational activities that instill Islamic values, Indonesianness, and scientific progress. It is hoped that the integration of these values can strengthen tolerance, overcome multicultural challenges, and form an inclusive and harmonious society spiritually and scientifically.

Abstract

The book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama’ah by K.H. Ali Maksum Krapyak has gained widespread recognition as a primary reference in affirming the worship practices of the Nahdlatul Ulama group. Although this book is often used to support arguments against bid’ah practices, it actually contains texts that teach moderate values. The GP. Ansor organization, as an autonomous body of Nahdlatul Ulama focused on campaigns for unity, religious tolerance, and appreciation of differences, needs to understand that the studied book not only explains the literal meaning of texts but also conveys specific messages. This article aims to identify moderate religious texts in the book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama’ah, examine the implementation of teaching from the book, and reflect on the outcomes of this instruction. The community service method employs the Service Learning approach, establishing a connection between the academic community and academic tasks, with the goal of serving the community while developing academic and social skills through practical tasks in society. Through the service learning strategy, academics have the opportunity to develop life skills by imparting values acquired through the taught material to the community. The research results indicate that moderate religious texts in the book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama’ah are found in eight chapters, such as: Sending the Reward of Recitation, Charity and Righteous Deeds for the Deceased, Sunnah Prayers before Jumu'ah, Talqin for the Deceased, Tarawih Prayer, Determining the Beginning of Ramadan, Visiting Graves, the Punishment of the Grave, and Visiting the Prophet's Tomb. The teaching process of the book occurs in three stages: pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation. Reflection on the program's results encompasses four main points: the importance of religious moderation, the crucial role of Kiai in moderation, the significance of studying the book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama'ah, and the vital role of GP. Ansor.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the concept of polyamory behavior in marriage from the perspective of applicable law in Indonesia. Methodologically, this research uses a qualitative method with a normative approach supported by a literature study that examines polyamory in the perspective of Indonesian positive law, with data collection through the study of scientific journals, books, and previous legal documents. The results show that polyamory behavior in the context of marriage is not in line with the concept of monogamous marriage commonly embraced by Indonesian society. Therefore, from a legal perspective, polyamory behavior has no legality and contradicts the principle of monogamy as stipulated in Law Number 1 Year 1974 and the Civil Code. The theoretical implication shows that law functions as a tool to regulate community behavior in order to achieve social stability. Practically, this study provides an overview of how Indonesian law responds to polyamory behavior. This article contributes to the development of an understanding of polyamory behavior in marriage, from the perspective of positive law in Indonesia.
