Abstract

This study discusses the integration of religious values into science learning in elementary schools as a strategic step to overcome the dichotomy between religious and general knowledge within Indonesia's education system. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of integration, develop appropriate learning strategies, and analyze the potential and challenges in its implementation. This research employs a library research method by examining various sources of literature, including scientific journals, books, and official educational documents. The findings indicate that integrating religious values into science learning not only enhances students’ understanding of scientific concepts but also strengthens their spiritual and moral awareness. Strategies that can be applied include thematic integrated approaches, the use of religious-contextual learning media, setting integrated learning objectives, active learning methods, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Despite challenges such as differing approaches between religion and science, differing focus areas, and the influence of globalization, integration remains essential in shaping students who are not only knowledgeable but also possess strong character and values. Therefore, this study is expected to provide both theoretical and practical contributions for teachers, curriculum developers, and educational policymakers.

Abstract

Abstract

The phenomenon of religious radicalism is a serious challenge in religious, national, and state life. Radicalism not only disrupts social stability, but also tarnishes the image of peaceful and tolerant religious teachings, especially Islam. This article aims to examine religious radicalism from the perspective of Islamic law, by tracing the ideological roots, forms of manifestation, and the views of sharia on radical actions. With a qualitative approach and literature study, this study found that Islamic law firmly rejects all forms of violence that damage the order of society, even if carried out in the name of religion. Islam as a religion of rahmatan lil 'alamin upholds the values of justice, tolerance, and peace. Therefore, radicalism cannot be justified according to sharia because it is contrary to maqashid al-syari'ah and the principle of moderation (wasathiyah) in Islam.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between science and religion in shaping the character of adolescents in the era of globalization. The main issue raised is the decline in moral values among youths as a result of the widespread influence of global culture and technological advancement. The objective is to analyze the integration between scientific rationality and religious spirituality in fostering moral integrity and responsible behavior among adolescents. The research method employs a qualitative approach by reviewing relevant literature and data from recent publications to examine moral and ethical trends influenced by globalized society. The findings show that globalization presents both challenges and opportunities, with exposure to foreign values often displacing local moral traditions. However, religion remains a stronghold of moral guidance, offering principles that can synergize with scientific thinking. A harmonious relationship between science and religion is crucial in reinforcing moral awareness and spiritual intelligence among youths. Teachers play a strategic role as educators and moral models in this integration process. The study concludes that an integrative curriculum and interdisciplinary research are effective strategies for aligning science and religion, especially in forming resilient and ethical youth. This harmonization is particularly significant for Generation Z, who face complex moral dilemmas in the digital age.

Abstract

Combining culture and religion is one of the identities of preachers in conveying religious messages. In the process of preaching, Sunan Kudus uses the same method of preaching, namely using a spiritual and cultural approach by giving orders in the form of prohibiting the slaughter of cows on Eid al-Adha. This article aims to understand cultural and religious acculturation in the sacrificial tradition and to find out how to maintain the existence of this culture. The research method used in this paper is library research, which collects literature related to cultural and religious acculturation. The results of this research show that Sunan Kudus carried out an acculturation in the prohibition of slaughtering cows on Eid al-Adha and to ensure that this tradition can survive by means of cultural experience and cultural knowledge.
