Abstract

Songket from Pandai Sikek is one of the most famous Minangkabau woven products. Because of its beautiful motifs and colors, Pandai Sikek's songket weaving has many fans, both at home and abroad. The motifs used are motifs that have been owned for a long time and are hereditary motifs, but there are some motifs that have been lost due to the development of globalization. The flow of globalization and the rapid development of technology have shifted people's attention, especially the younger generation, to care about culture which has resulted in the waning of public interest and knowledge of Pandai Sikek weaving. Therefore a solution is needed by designing a media specifically for teenagers in the form of an illustrated book so that it can provide information and add insight about Pandai Sikek weaving. The design of this work uses the glassbox method with the design stages of preparation, incubation, lumination, and verification. In collecting data obtained from field observations, interviews reviewing literature obtained from various sources. From the results of writing, it is obtained that the media used in the design is in the form of illustrated books with supporting media tote bags, t-shirts, x-banners, pins, stickers, posters and key chains.

Abstract

West Sumatra is known for its beautiful natural charm with various types of tourism. One of the amazing natural destinations in Agam Regency is Singgalang Mountain Peak. However, the Puncak Kabun Singgalang tourist attraction does not have a Sign system which is an identification, information about attractions and Signs as directions. The Puncak Kabun Singgalang tourist attraction is still included in the category of tourist objects that provide little information to visitors. This fact is proven by the absence of a sign system that provides information regarding directions, location maps, as well as security aspects. Therefore, it is necessary to design a sign system at the Puncak Kabun Singgalang tourist destination that is efficient, attractive, full of information, and able to communicate well, making it easier for visitors to explore the Puncak Kabun Singgalang tourist attraction. In this design using the Glassbox method obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The analytical method used in the design is SWOT analysis. Strengths owned by tourist attractions, Weaknesses owned by tourist attractions, Opportunities (opportunities) from the existence of these tourist attractions, Threats (threats) to tourist attractions. From the results of the design, the author uses the main media Sign system in the form of Information sign. Supporting media include sign systems in the form of regulatory signs, sign systems in the form of signage, tickets, brochures, mugs, posters and stickers.

Abstract

The following research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of applying one of the food photography trends, namely mouth watering food photography by the Instagram account @ayambakarmertua_official in its posts on consumer buying interest. Researchers used quantitative methods with Likert scale measurements. The data source is primary data which is obtained directly based on respondents from a questionnaire for tools in obtaining data. The simple random sampling method was used by researchers for sampling with a total of 100 respondents based on the Lemeshow formula. From this study it was concluded that promotional media can influence consumer buying interest through the use of Mouth Watering Food Photography by the Instagram account @Ayambakarmertua_Official.

Abstract

Heartbreak is a mental condition and social problem associated with teenagers who are failing in a romantic relationship. Heartbreak can occur in various circumstances, the end of a love story can be triggered by the end of a romantic relationship with a partner. This issue was raised as a paper by Apriyandisi under the pen name @berbagi_rasa. With the title "Broken to Grow". What's interesting about this book is how Apriyandisi is very good at packing every content in this book. This book is very light and good for those who want to use the book as a motivation to move forward. The aim of this final work is to produce a book that is more effective, informative and communicative and more attractive to the target audience. The method in this design uses the 4-D method. This method is used to produce an Illustrated Book media product. The product developed is then tested for its usefulness by testing validity and product testing to find out how much the reader's motivation has increased. after reading this book the data analysis technique with the 5W + 1H technique is to make it easier to find solutions to problems. This book is designed with illustrations, layout, typography, colors. This illustration book is the main media and this design has supporting media such as x banners, posters, notebooks, tumblers, stickers, and pins.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of packaging design variables from the collaboration between Dear Me Beauty and KFC on consumer purchasing decisions. Respondents for this study were selected using purposive sampling technique, where the respondents were consumers who purchased and used products resulting from the collaboration between Dear Me Beauty and KFC. A total of 84 respondents were included in the research sample. The data collection method employed in this study involved using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The variables studied in this research are collaborative packaging design (as variable X) and purchasing decisions (as variable Y). This study adopts a quantitative approach, and the questionnaire data are analyzed using descriptive statistics." The results of the study with 84 respondents indicate that the highest percentage for the collaborative packaging design variable (variable X) falls under the 'agree' classification, with a frequency score of 131 and a percentage of 31.19%. This suggests that respondents are attracted to the visual appeal and practicality of the design, leading them to decide to purchase products resulting from the cross-disciplinary collaboration between Dear Me Beauty and KFC. Additionally, for the purchasing decision variable (variable Y), the highest percentage also falls under the 'agree' classification, with a frequency score of 76 and a percentage of 30.16%. This demonstrates that respondents make purchases based on packaging factors and their need for the product."

Abstract

The Illustration Book of Traditional Culinary Introduction to Nasi Kapau is a book designed to introduce one of Minangkabau culinary dish, Nasi Kapau. This book aims to provide information about Nasi Kapau including its regional origin, the characteristics of the seller, the way the side dishes are arranged, the various side dishes, the historical area where they first appeared, and the differences from Nasi Padang. Currently there are still many people who cannot identify Nasi Kapau even though they are spread across various provinces in Indonesia. With the design of this book, it is hoped that Nasi Kapau will become more well-known and there will be no misunderstandings. The illustration that will be used in this design uses a semi-realist illustration style and takes the original color of the original object. The design method used is the glass box method with data collection methods through observation, interviews, literature studies and documentation. The data was then analyzed using the 5W=1H method. The design of this Kapau Nasi Kapau Traditional Culinary Illustration Book Design will use the title "Wow Nasi Kapau" with supporting media including e-books, x-banners, posters, Instagram, totebags, note books, and hand fans.

Abstract

Angkringan Mintuo is an angkringan whose identity is still in the form of a simple signboard that just says Angkringan Mintuo. This is a problem so that it does not yet have a visual identity in the form of a logo that can increase attractiveness and represent the image and characteristics of this angkringan. The purpose of making this angkringan visual identity is to have its own characteristics for this angkringan so that it can be easily recognized by the target audience. The creation of this visual identity is in the form of a brand, logotype and tagline. Glass Box is a design method that is being used. Glass Box is a design that is made logically and rationally using information from data collection, interviews, observation, and documentation. The analytical method used is called 5W+1H analysis (what, where, when, why, who, how). The design of the angkringan brand will be featured in the manual book as the main media and supporting media, namely banners, stickers, t-shirts, aprons, packaging, email, business cards, etc. which aim to strengthen the main media.

Abstract

Coffee Tubruk Bamboo is a coffee brand in the city of Padang owned by Rizky Afrizal Candra. Coffee currently lacks a distinctive identity, therefore a new identity is created in the form of a logo. This logo incorporates colors and typography that encapsulate the original concept, aiming to make it memorable for both current and potential customers. The logo draws inspiration from the shape of a bamboo plant and coffee beans, symbolizing the signature of a business run from a bamboo-themed setting and complemented by the presence of coffee beans, all accompanied by a lettermark of the name “Coffee Tubruk Bamboo. " The design is in harmony with modern aesthetics while maintaining a playful shape. To develop a promotion strategy for Coffee Tubruk Bamboo, an analysis using the framework "5W+1H" (what, who, where, when, why, and how) is used. This approach aims to reveal solutions and overcoming challenges. The design process begins with observations and interviews with the owner of Coffee Tubruk Bamboo, ensuring the collection of important data for promotion strategies. Main promotional media includes posters, along with supporting materials such as packaging, X-banner displays, business cards, tote bags, stickers , promotional videos, and screen printing t-shirts.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the presentation of the Ngadu Horn Dance in Siulak Panjang Village, Siulak District, Kerinci District, Jambi. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The research instrument used in this study was the researcher himself who was assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery, cameras and flash drives. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. Stages of data analysis in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and concluding data. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the presentation of the Ngadu Tanduk Dance in Siulak Panjang Village, Siulak District, Kerinci Regency, Jambi, was held at a wedding reception. This dance is presented to welcome the bride and groom. The form of presentation of the motion includes Representational. The movements consist of worshiping movements, buffalo movements looking for opponents and horn horning movements. The Ngadu Tanduk dance is danced by 2 men, wearing black and gold clothes, Teluk Belango clothes, trousers, songket, belts and laca. The musical instruments used are Dap (tambourine), gong, gong reed, and nyaro (vocals). The presentation of the Ngadu Horn Dance uses a horn property made of bamboo slats measuring about 2 meters which resembles a buffalo horn with a framework wrapped in black, red, yellow and white cloth. The presentation of the Ngadu Tanduk Dance is carried out in an open courtyard with the dancers facing the bride and groom.

Abstract

The study aims to determine (1) Is there an effect of interior design on visitor comfort at the Adityawarman Museum of West Sumatra Province. (2) Interior design elements that have a dominant and significant effect on visitor comfort at the Adityawarman Museum, West Sumatra Province. This type of research is quantitative research using the description method. The technique used for data collection in this study used a questionnaire (questionnaire) using a Likert scale to score each question item. The population in this study amounted to 1895 visitors and a sample of 95 visitors, sampling was carried out by accidental sampling technique. Based on the research results, overall interior design has a significant effect on visitor comfort at the Adityawarman Museum. It can be seen from data processing using SPSS version 25.0, showing that the Fcount value is 10.112> Ftable 3.94 and a significant value of 0.002 < α = 0.05. The variable interior design element that has the most dominant effect on visitor comfort at the Adityawarman museum is the ceiling with a total average score of 4.29 on the interval scale 4.24-5.04 "very good".
