The purpose of this paper is to determine the control strategy of the renewable energy systems of hybrid solar panel power and wind turbines in maximizing voltage balance. The voltage control strategy needs to be designed, mainly when different load changes occur. If it is not done, it will affect the balance of power supplied to the load and usually damage the equipment used. Solar and wind energy sources significantly influence the stability of the applied voltage’s quality due to the fluctuating nature of renewable energy. This paper proposes control strategies for the use of PIs and the signal conditioning devices that are modified using the battery charging and discharging modeling while taking into account battery lifetime using PSIM software so that optimal voltage results from hybrid solar panel and wind turbine systems are obtained. The battery will be used as energy storage when the hybrid output power is over, which will then be used again when the hybrid output power is less than the load requirement. The signal conditioning device in this study uses five power converters, one AC to DC converter, two DC-DC boost converters, one bidirectional converter, 1 DC-AC bidirectional converter. Maximum output power uses MPPT, which is applied to the boost converter, whereas to regulate the voltage through charging and discharging the battery through the bidirectional buck-boost converter. This strategy provides the appropriate voltage on the AC side.

Magneto rheological (MR) fluid has been used in various electro mechanical devices since it has advantages of being able to be controlled by external magnetic force. However, application of the MR fluid for linear brakes is still scarce. This article proposes a new design of linear MR brake. It has multiple magnetic poles, and its core can be connected in series inside the piston. Equations which express relationships between mechanical force and magnetic force as well as magnetic force and electric current have been derived. As a result, a polynomial function was obtained which expressed mechanical force of the brake as a function of electric current. Parameter values of geometric dimension and magnetic permeabilities of components were substituted into the equation, and a control law is proposed to control the brake force by manipulating current using the inverse of a linear function. When electric current of 1 A was supplied into the coil, brake force of 111.4 Newton was obtained. Various values of brake force can easily be realized by controlling electric current based on the derived linear function control law.

Raspberry Pi is a small-sized computer, but it can function like an ordinary computer. Because it can function like a regular PC then it is also possible to run a web server application on the Raspberry Pi. This paper will report results from testing the feasibility and performance of running a web server on the Raspberry Pi. The test was conducted on the current top three most popular web servers, which are: Apache, Nginx, and Lighttpd. The parameters used to evaluate the feasibility and performance of these web servers were: maximum request and reply time. The results from the test showed that it is feasible to run all three web servers on the Raspberry Pi but Nginx gave the best performance followed by Lighttpd and Apache.Keywords: Raspberry Pi, web server, Apache, Lighttpd, Nginx, web server performance

Until now, Internet of Things (IoT) is a very interesting topic to research. This is due to the wide role that IoT can play in human life. This study aims to compare the performance of two sensors in an IoT-based distance detection system with the focus of the parameters being tested: sensor readings, Qos of data transmission, and power requirements. The two sensors that are the subject of comparison are HC-SR04 and GP2YA21YK. As an analytical tool, this research uses two tools, namely Thingspeak and Wireshak. The performance test results show that in terms of accuracy in determining distance, the HC-SR04 has a much better performance than the GP2YA21YK. On HC SR04, the average reading error is 0.82 cm, while on GP2YA21YK it is 14.40 cm. Meanwhile, in terms of QoS parameters, the two sensor systems show almost commensurate performance, the packet loss is both 0%, the throughput value is 37.01 kbps on HC-SR04 and 38.12 kbps on GP2YA21YK. As for the delay, the HC-SR04 sensor gives a value of 33.55 ms, and on GP2YA21YK it is 26.1 ms. Furthermore, based on power requirements, sensor systems using the HC-SR04 consume 14.36% less power than the system that use GP2YA21YK. By referring to the results of measurements and visualizations using Wireshark and Thingspeak, it can be concluded that the distance detection system using the HC-SR04 sensor is better than the system with the GP2YA21YK.

In this research, we propose a prototype to measure glucose index in human body after applying benedict reagen into urine samples. This system divides into two main components that are identification device and android smartphone. The identification device consists of TCS3200 colour sensor and a raspberry pi. The TCS3200 colour sensor's function is to predict the alteration of urine sample and determine the colour category according to the benedict rule and to measure the glucose in the sample. The Raspberry pi function is to process the data that acquired from the colour sensor. By optimizing with Tsukamoto Fuzzy Logic Control, the research successfully identifies the glucose by achieving 100% and the result of fuzzy logic control on Raspberry Pi as decision making by urine in 90% and by conflicting minimum error in 5.6%.

Fifteen level single phase multilevel inverter is constructed using power circuit consist of 7 MOSFETs, seven independents DC sources, seven diodes, and an H-Bridge circuit. Switching method used in this MLI is sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) multicarrier where the reference wave in the form of a sinusoidal wave. Multicarrier SPWM circuit is designed using electronic components such as Op-Amp that used as a comparator and some logic gates such as AND, OR and NOT gate to trigger S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, and H-Bridge circuit. Carrier waves used in this MLI modified from the triangle wave that having a frequency into carrier waves without frequency (DC sources) where THD that generated into 5.502%. While methods that use frequency such as Phase Disposition PWM (PD PWM), Phase Shift PWM (PS-PWM), and Carrier Overlapping PWM (CO PWM) that produces THD greater than the proposed method, this system was simulated using PSIM software.

Health is an important thing for human life. One way to determine a person’s health can be done by examining vital signs (TTV) to find out clinical signs by measuring the most basic body functions. TTV examination is also useful in determining the appropriate medical planning and can be used to strengthen the diagnosis of a disease. Most of the illness or even death related to environmental exposure temperature can be prevented, but often the victim’s decision is wrong, or the patient’s reporting is delayed. Although a person in good health may experience varying degrees of exposure to heat or cold at different times, a person will be relatively at risk for illness and death in extreme environmental temperatures. One solution to overcome this problem is the use of Internet of Thing (IoT)-based hypothermia and hyperthermia detection tools that can detect disease early so that prevention can be done before it becomes more dangerous. The features of this tool are the measurement of body temperature, heart rate, and the detection of hypothermia or hyperthermia. This study, testing the application of fuzzy logic as a hypothermia and hyperthermia detection tool based on IoT-based body temperature and heart rate. The results of system testing with 10 subjects from instrumentation tools showed the same results as the medical officer’s statement with a 100% success rate.

Load balancing is one of the mechanism used in the self-organization network (SON) to balance the traffic at the overloaded base station with the adjacent low-loaded base station. Load balancing is done by adjusting the handover parameters (metric) to obtain the optimal traffic balance. In this work, the adjusted parameters are the capacity of the cell. Cell capacity is strongly influenced by the bandwidth, modulation type, and the bit rate used by the user. The performance of load balancing was tested by a simulation and network test-bed measurement. The testing results on the Long-Term Evolution Advanced network showed the greater the bandwidth the greater the capacity of the cell. Moreover, the larger type of modulation, the cell capacity will also be greater. On the other hand, the greater bit rate used by the user, then the cell capacity will decrease. The calculation analysis of cell capacity is taken as the basic operation for load balancing procedure. A load balancing process algorithm is introduced to describe the mentioned procedure. The algorithm also considers the ping-pong effect that might occur due to the delay on the handover process.

Abstrak— Jantung merupakan salah satu organ terpenting dalam tubuh manusia. Kegagalan jantung pada pasien dapat mengakibatkan dampak yang vital dan berujung pada kematian. Adapun kegagalan jantung bukan hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor usia, juga dipengaruhi komorbid dan pola hidup dari pasien. Berbagai upaya medis telah banyak dilakukan untuk mendeteksi kegagalan jantung yang mengharuskan pasien dirawat intensif di rumah sakit yang tentunya membuat pasien merasa kurang nyaman. Maka dari itu, dalam penelitian ini dirancang sebuah aplikasi machine learning untuk deteksi kegagalan jantung yang dapat mengklasifikasikan kondisi pasien ke arah kematian atau bertahan berdasarkan gejala-gejala yang dimiliki pasien. Adapun algoritma machine learning yang digunakan adalah random forest yang dioptimasi dengan tiga buah algoritma optimasi yaitu grid search, random search dan Bayesian search sebagai perbandingan. Kinerja ketiga algoritma optimasi kemudian diukur menggunakan akurasi, presisi dan recall. Ada 299 sampel pasien yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa random forest dengan algoritma optimasi random search mencapai kinerja yang paling unggul dengan akurasi rata-rata sebesar 85,63 %, presisi rata-rata 87,38% dan recall 85,63%.
