Abstract

This study was motivated by a problem identified in Grade VIII at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir, where students demonstrated low mathematical problem-solving abilities. This issue is suspected to have caused many students to perform below the minimum competency criteria in problem-solving. To address this issue, the researcher implemented the Collaborative Learning model in mathematics instruction, which is believed to enhance students’ problem-solving skills. The research question posed was: Does the Collaborative Learning model have a greater impact on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to conventional learning among Grade VIII students at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir? This study used a pre-experimental method with a static group comparison design. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir. The sample was selected randomly after conducting normality and homogeneity tests on the population data. Class VIII.4 was designated as the experimental group, and Class VIII.2 as the control group. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet and a test on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Data were analyzed using hypothesis testing with the t-test formula. The results showed that the calculated t-value (tₕ = 2.290) was greater than the critical t-value (tₜ = 1.673), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀). Using SPSS software at a significance level of α = 0.05, the p-value was 0.026, which is less than α, confirming that H₀ was also rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the Collaborative Learning model positively affects students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, showing higher results compared to those taught using conventional methods in Grade VIII at SMPN 1 Sasak Ranah Pesisir in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

One of the efforts to overcome the limited service capacity of an existing tower is by adding reinforcements to the tower. With the reinforcement, the desired outcome is for the tower to be able to accommodate additional loads, which may include tower expansion (increasing the height of the tower) and the addition of instruments such as antennas and BTS. This research uses a descriptive research method and a case study at the Product Development and Steel Creative Industry division of PT. Krakatau Baja Konstruksi. The descriptive method is a research method conducted by analyzing existing phenomena and data. The primary data for this research was obtained directly from the field during Industrial Practice at PT. Krakatau Baja Konstruksi, specifically in the Product Development and Steel Creative Industry division. The result of this research is the design or visualization of a Steel Plate in DXF format, which is then transferred to another program or device, namely Cypcut. The Cypcut program will later generate the input for the CNC laser machine, which will be used to produce the Reinforcement Steel Plate for the Pinogaluman Lolak Tower in North Sulawesi.

Abstract

The development of the manufacturing industry is driven by society's demand for goods and services, with CNC laser cutting machines playing a crucial role due to their speed, accuracy, and flexibility. This article emphasizes the importance of preventive maintenance to maintain optimal performance, avoid downtime, and extend the machine's lifespan. Through literature studies and surveys, the research highlights the significance of routine checks on key components, cleaning, the use of checklists, and the detection of potential damage. Challenges include the need for skilled technicians, proper equipment, and team coordination. Systematic preventive maintenance enhances operational efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures uninterrupted machine performance, with careful planning and continuous training being key to success.

Abstract

Indo Porcelain is a industry engaged in manufacturing that produces products such as plates and glasses. During the production process PT. Indo Porcelain often experiences considerable downtime. The purpose of this study is to analyze Total Productive Maintenance (TPM),OEE,and working hours of the jigger machine. The results of the analys show that the OEE value of the jigger machine at PT. Indo Porcelain does not meet the international standards set. Caused by old machines, long maintenance procedures and a long maintenance process.

Abstract

This study aims to examine a comparative analysis of physics education and learning systems in three countries: Indonesia, India, and China. The primary focus is to identify similarities and differences in pedagogical approaches, curriculum structure, and the integration of technology in physics instruction. The research employs a literature review method using a descriptive qualitative approach. The analysis reveals that all three countries place significant emphasis on educational development, particularly in science and physics. China stands out with its highly centralized and competitive education system, as well as its advanced use of technology in physics learning, such as augmented reality. India emphasizes the integration of physics education with local culture and the implementation of project-based learning. Meanwhile, Indonesia is undergoing a transition toward a more contextual and technology-based learning system, although it still faces challenges in terms of equitable access to facilities and teacher training. The study concludes that despite the unique challenges faced by each country, physics education can be enhanced through the integration of contextual approaches, technology, and teacher capacity building.

Abstract

The fashion needs of individuals are rapidly evolving in line with current trends, creating a demand for continuous progress in the fashion industry. As a result, people are increasingly unwilling to fall behind in the evolution of fashion items and aspire to maintain a trendy appearance. However, this phenomenon driven by consumer demand for trendy and inexpensive clothing often leads to environmental degradation, labor exploitation, and a consumerist culture that encourages wastefulness. In response to these concerns, the author conducted a literature review to explore the potential application of Islamic values in addressing the negative impacts of the fast fashion phenomenon. This research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method and is based on library research. The findings indicate that the implementation of education grounded in Islamic values plays a crucial role in fostering strong moral and ethical awareness across all levels of society. The Islamic value concepts that can counteract the fast fashion trend include Tawassut (moderation), Qana’ah (contentment), Syukr (gratitude), and Amanah (trustworthiness). By integrating these values into the educational curriculum, it is possible to build a society that is more environmentally and socially conscious, capable of resisting the consumerist culture driven by fast fashion.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought significant impacts in various sectors, including education, with the implementation of a more efficient attendance system. This research aims to develop a QR Code-based attendance system integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) technology at SMK TI ZAMIGA, considering that the manual attendance process that is still used today results in recording errors of around 20%. The designed system utilizes devices such as Arduino Mega, QR Code Scanner, Ultrasonic Sensor, and NodeMCU to record student attendance automatically and in real-time. In addition, this system allows teachers to input student practicum grades, with easy data access through a website built using PHP and XAMPP technology. With the development of this attendance system, it is expected to improve efficiency, security, and student discipline in the learning process.

Abstract

PT Tunas Ridean TBK is a vehicle provider company throughout Indonesia, as well as part of a subsidiary of PT Tunas Ridean TBK which is engaged in the sale and service of Toyota vehicles. This research uses the HIRARC method. Making HIRARC is divided into 3 stages, namely identifying hazards, risk assessment and risk management. There are 8 work activities at PT Tunas Toyota Serang, of the 8 work activities have 31 potential work accidents that can occur. Of the 31 potential work accidents, 16 potential work accidents with low risk, 13 potential work accidents with medium or moderate risk, and 2 potential work accidents with high potential. Risk control in preventing work accidents can be done by using personal protective equipment, substitution, administrative control and engineering control.
