Abstract

Student difficulties in understanding the logarithm material is one of the reasons for developing student’s worksheet of Elementary Algebra for logarithm material. Another factor is that there has been no effective teaching materials that facilitate the students in the lecture. The existing reference books only convey information and have not been able to construct knowledge of students, so that they do not understand about the concept. The purpose of this research was to develop a valid student’s worksheet of Elementary Algebra subject in STKIP PGRI, West Sumatra. This research is a research development. Model of development in the research used procedural models for Instructional Development Institute (IDI). Validity was analyzed by the expert of Elementary Algebra. Once the module is validated by experts, it is obtained that the student’s worksheet of Elementary Algebra valid

Abstract

Penelitian dilatar belakangi dari hasil belajar siswa rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn dengan menggunakan komponen-komponen  rancangan pembelajaran Quantum Teaching di kelas V SD Negeri 12 Kampung Melayu Kecamatan Ampek Nagari Kab. Agam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan siklus I bahwa dari penilaian RPP diperoleh skor nilai 71, dari aspek guru diperoleh skor 63,5, dari aspek siswa diperoleh skor 50, hasil belajar siswa diperoleh nilsi kognitif adalah 67, nilai afektifnya 56, sedangkan nilai psikomotornya adalah 59. Sedangkan pada siklus II dari penilaian RPP diperoleh skor nilai 93, dari aspek guru diperoleh skor 83, dari aspek siswa diperoleh skor 79, hasil belajar siswa diperoleh nilsi kognitif adalah 81, nilai afektifnya 89, sedangkan nilai psikomotornya adalah 76, terlihat bahwa hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II. Dengan demikian terungkap bahwa penggunaan komponen-komponen  rancangan pembelajaran Quantum Teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 12 Kampung Melayu Kecamatan Ampek Nagari Kab. Agam.

Abstract

ABSTRACTNepenthes is a dioecious plant, that are male flowers and female flowersare separated on different individuals. Consider the threat of extinction of plantspecies of high economic value, conservation it is necessary with cultivation.Nepenthes cultivation mostly through seeds because growth through stem cuttingsis still very low. Then has done research on the biology of Nepenthes ampullaria,N. gracilis, and N. reinwardtiana. Research has been carried out from Juni 2009to Juni 2010. Androecium collected from Taratak Pesisir Selatan, Palupuh, andHPPB Andalas University Padang. Research method is a method of observationthat includes aspects of the pattern of blooming flowers. Samples taken from theoriginal habitat of flowers that bloom from the male flowers. From the resultshowed that the pattern of male flowers blooming N. ampullaria, N. garcilis andN. reinwardtiana acropetal generally the same, namely, the process of bloomingflowers in a stalk during the week and time anthesis from dawn to dusk, exceptanther dehiscens on N. ampullaria occurred several hours after the floweranthesis, whereas in N. gracilis and N. reinwardtiana immediately after theflowers anthesis. Male flowers N. ampullaria evenly bloom each flower on agroup of flower, sequentially from base to tip. After one stage of bloom, followedby a second bloom in the flower. So on until all the flowers bloom. Male flowersN. gracilis blossom one by one while at N. reinwardtiana flowers bloom ingroups, one group completed a new, gradual upward. On N. gracilis and N.reinwardtiana anthesis interest rates start to bloom at the time, whereas in N.ampullaria anthesis interest after the color changes from red to yellow.

Abstract

Minangkabau merupakan salah satu kebudayaan yang terdapat di Indonesia dan termasuk kebudayaan yang memiliki anggota yang banyak jika dibandingkan dengan kebudayaan lainnya. Salah satu ciri khas dari kebudayaan minangkabau adalah adanya kebiasaan dari masyarakatnya yang pergi dari rumah untuk mencari nafkah ke negeri atau daerah lain dalam kurun waktu yang sangat lama, kebiasaan ini dikenal dengan istilah “Merantau”. Dalam pelaksanaan merantau ini, persiapannya sudah dimulai dari mulai remaja dimana keluarga yang sudah lama merantau akan memberikan informasi tentang pekerjaan yang ada di perantauan dan apa saja persyaratan dalam pekerjaan tersebut

Abstract

This research was aimed at identifying hand phone utilization by students at STKIP PGRIWest Sumatera. This research was qualitative. The informant of this research were thestudents who had hand phone who were selected through snowball sampling technique.The data was collected through observation, interview, documentation, and the researcherhimself as an active participant. The data was analyzed by using techniques as suggestedby Miles and Huberman. The finding of this research showed that hand phone utilizationby the students beside it was aimed at its function, as a tool for communication, but it isalso to the owner prestige of him/her will be high. Hand phone symbolized one’s success,modern, and high-tech minded. Hand phone had been a part of students life style today,because they wouldn’t like being a part from old-fashioned class. By having hand phone,students had high self-confidence. Beside that, they will be welcomed to the group ofthose who had hand phone.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep-konsep yang diberikan serta mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengidentifikasi apa yang diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan awal matematika mahasiswa pada konsep Identittas Trigonometri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 21 responden Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa pada kelompok pandai/upper pandai mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan baik dan benar dengan skor 95. Pada kelompok sedang/midle mampu mnyelesaikan pada skor 60-75. Dan kelompok bawah/upper mampu menyelesaikan soal dengan skor dibwah 25

Abstract

Interpersonal Communication is a social process by which individuals are engaged in them influence each other. The phenomenon that occurs in students associated with interpersonal communication is a lot of misunderstanding when students have problems communicating, mutual understanding is often not the case when students interact with other students. Group counseling services are in guidance and counseling services that can be used to improve students' interpersonal communication. Abstract

This research was conducted based on the problem that had been found in SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang where the learning method that applied by the teachers are still dominated by lecturing method and unstructured discussion which give impact on competency of biology learning of the student. Therefore, authors apply by cooperative learning with use Talking Stick Type. The aims of this research is to know, how far cooperative learning with use Talking Stick Type can improve students learning activity and the result in biology lesson. The type of research is action class at XIIPA3ofSMAN 1 Lembah Melintang. The implementation consist of 2 cycles are planning, implementation, observation  and reflection. Techniques data analysis is carried out using the formale techniques proportion.Result of the analysis first cycle and second cycle show students learning active ty has increased for all indicators that is actively discussing increased 77,6 % in first cycle to 82,9 % in second cycle,  hearing activity increased 79,6% in first cycle to 86,2 % in second cycle, to answer the questions increased 30,3% in first cycle to 43,4 % in second cycle, responding questions increased 19,1% in first cycle to 34,2% in second cycle, taking the duty in group increased 68,4% in first cycle to 74,3% in second cycle, cooperation on group increased 62,5%  in first cycle to 76,3% in second cycle, Doing the duty in group increased  40,8% in first cycle, to 50,7% in second cycle. Collecting the sheet increased 53,9% in first cycle to 64,5% in second cycle.The result of evaluation the students that passed the examine increased  from 22 students (57,79%)  in first cycle, to 33 students (86,84%) in second cycle The result of the research learning model through Cooperative learning with use Talking Stick Typecan increase student learning activities and the result in biology class at XIIPA3 ofSMAN 1 Lembah Melintang. So this method can applied as aneffort to increase student learning activities, because there is no methods most superior from the existing method, each of them has weaknesses and advantages.

Abstract

Suatu kondisi belajar yang optimal akan dapat tercapai jika guru mampu mengatur anak didik dan sarana pengajaran serta mengendalikannya dalam suasana yang menyenangkan untuk mencapai tujuan pengajaran. Efektifitas pengelolaan pembelajaran oleh guru dapat dilihat dari berbagai segi, misalnya dalam hal menyusun rencana pembelajaran, melaksanakan pembelajaran, serta menilai prestasi belajar. Guru matematika memiliki peran utama dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran matematika. Idealnya, seorang guru harus memperhatikan aspek-aspek pengelolaan pembelajaran matematika yang tercakup dalam perencanaaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan penilaian hasil pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatatif. Lokasi penelitian adalah Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Ar-Rahman Medan Subjek penelitian adalah Siswa/i Kelas X SMK Ar-Rahman sebanyak 29 orang dan guru mata pelajaran matematika. Data Penelitian meliputi Informan yaitu guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui Lembar observasi guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan Angket Responsif siswa kegiatan pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, pengelolaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru sudah baik, sebab dari 16 aspek yang dinilai hanya dua aspek saja yang tidak terpenuhi. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dan perangkat menunjukkan respon positif. Pertanyaan  (1), (3), dan (5),respon positif  melebihi 70% yang menunjukkan minat dan semangat belajar siswa yang cukup tinggi. Hal tersebut menjadi penguatan bahwa pengelolaan pembelajaran yang baik oleh guru akan berdampak baik bagi siswa.

Abstract

Teacher’s competence is very influential on the mathemathics instructionin class. Therefore teacher’s competence should be improved and developedthrough a sustainable activity. One way to improve teacher competence is byholding Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education workshops (RME). Thisstudy uses qualitative research methods with descriptive approach. This researchwas conducted in SD Negeri Percobaan Padang. The results of data analysisshowed that: (1) the competence of teachers in planning and carrying out thelearning process with RME approach has also been increased by using the RMEworkshop. This increase is due to a continuous process of workshop, (2) theobstacles faced in the planning and carrying out the learning process with RMEapproach significantly is planning and using media of instruction mathematicsappropriate with mathematics subject matter. The obstacle was minimized bydiscussion and simulation at the workshop.
