Abstract

The aim of the research carried out was to measure the effectiveness of creative problem solving (CPS) to improve the creative thinking skills of junior high school students in the city of Surakarta. The type of research methodology used is quantitative, which specifically carries out experimental research with a pre and post-test experimental research design, so that the research mechanism uses the experimental group as the test material and the control group as the measurement standard. The research was conducted on a sample of three junior high schools in the city of Solo, namely schools A, B, C and used an accumulated sample of 150 participants who were raised using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection techniques used were pre-test and post-test (questionnaire) and analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of this research, namely Creative Problem Solving, were proven to be effective in improving students' creative thinking skills with a score obtained of 0.94 (high category). There are three gain score qualifications, namely below 0.3 is the low category; 0.3 to 0.7 is the medium category; and above 0.7 is a high category. So it can be concluded that the gain score of the research carried out is interpreted as a high category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the structure of Axel Olrix and the religious value contained in the story of Mbah Rogo Moyo. This research uses qualitative research methods. Regarding the source of data comes from a book entitled "Cerita Rakyat Pesisir Timur" written by Mohammad Kanzunnudin, published by CV Adhigama in 2024 page 81. The data is in the form of fragments of the Mbah Rogo Moyo story. Data collection techniques using reading and listening methods. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's theory, namely (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, (4) conclusion drawing. Based on the analysis of the story structure of Mbah Rogo Moyo, there are eight Axel Olrix structures and three religious values contained in the folklore of Mbah Rogo Moyo.

Abstract

Learning to write a playwright at school is often presented in a theoretical form and is considered a difficult, unpleasant, time-consuming, and difficult task in developing ideas. Based on this phenomenon, the author proposes a concept by combining discovery learning and artificial intelligence (GPT) methods in the learning of drama writing. This conceptual idea aims to support the development of digital education in Indonesia in line with the Merdeka Curriculum. This research uses qualitative methods with a conceptual approach. From the results of this study, learning to invent the script of the Z generation with the method of discovery learning based on artificial intelligence (Chat GPT) shows that there are six stages of the phenomenon: (a) giving incentives, (b) identifying problems, (c) collecting data, (d) managing information, (e) proofing, (f) drawing conclusions. Research results show that the application of AI-based discovery learning methods can enhance student interactiveness in the learning process, support online collaboration, and facilitate real-time feedback, which is relevant in contemporary education. However, this study needs to be further developed into applied research to test its empirical value of effectiveness in improving the Z-generation script writing skills in the era of independent curricula.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using instant transcription on the understanding of deaf students.  This research uses an experimental approach with a pre-test post-test control group design. The sample in this study were 6 students and the sample was taken with Non-probability sampling technique with saturated sampling type. The data analysis technique used in this study was the Mann Whitney U-Test. The results of data analysis showed that the average post-test score of the experimental group was 59.62, which was higher than the control group which only had an average score of 43.32. In this study, it can be concluded that Instant Transcription affects the understanding of deaf students.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of group discussions in improving the mathematical reasoning abilities of fourth grade students at SD N 2 Karangbener. Mathematics, as a mandatory subject at every level of education, is often considered scary, boring and difficult by most students, especially at the elementary school level. Difficulty learning mathematics hinders students' ability to solve everyday problems and develop their potential. The research method uses descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. Observations were carried out by implementing direct learning practices in class using the group discussion method. Data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis methods, consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The stratified subject-taking technique produced research results that showed the group discussion method was effective in improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Students involved in group discussions showed different understanding of concepts in indicators of mathematical reasoning ability such as SA who showed high ability and CE students with medium ability and EY with low ability in mathematics group discussions. The results of this research are that group discussions can improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities by paying attention to the role of each member in the group. This research contributes to educational practitioners to implement effective learning methods in developing students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The conclusion of this research shows that group discussions are effective in improving the mathematical reasoning abilities of class IV students at SD N 2 Karangbener. Through observations, interviews, and documentation, it was found that students who were involved in group discussions had a better understanding of concepts.
